Hi, my name is Isaiah. I live in the state of Maine, I'm 15 years old, and I've been looking for somewhere where I can chat with other Christians, particularly Christians my own age. I enjoy photography, cross country, and track. I also enjoy writing and reading, as well as technology in general.

Well I think you found the right place for iot my friend, we do have a teens ection on this forum but plenty of other places where light hearted people can and do have a great time together. photagaphy was something I have always liked doing but was never taught how to do it mainly I just use my phone to take pictures and sometimes when I take a picture of the sky I like to see it in negative and it fascinates me the differences you see in that setting. I am also a reader and writer but I hate running I love go on walks but rinning is not my thing at all.
Sadly technology is my achiles heel I am terrible at it I can ewalk people through things but when I try it myself my brain is like ummm what do I do

Thanks for your reply, I'll be sure to check out the teens section. A lot of people don't like running for some reason. I can't understand it. It's needlessly exhausting yourself in a frivolous activity that is mentally and physically tiring. What's not to like about that?
:)

I think that is exactly why people don't like it XD I think some people do love it though because you feel fantastic afterwards I hear some people become addicted to it even. Me personally it just isn't something I feel I need to do if I was able to play a sport then yeah I would so I could build my stamina but sadly I cannot play sports if I could I would aim to be the next babe ruth in baseball

I have no interest in most sports. No interest in watching just about any sport. I used to play soccer though, and that was fun. I've always enjoyed running somewhat. Then I got into cross country, and I had fun, so I did it again, and then I enjoyed being around the people on my team so much I did track and enjoyed that too.

If you have some interest in taking pictures, I'd recommend using your phone's manual mode if it has one, and playing around with it. That's how I got started. I got a new phone and loved how the pictures were coming out, so I started playing around with angles and light. Then I got my first camera and learned it pretty well, then I recently got a much better camera.

If you're into smartphone photography I'd also recommend getting an app called Snapseed to edit your photos. Again, that's how I got started and to this day it's my favorite mobile photo editor.

If not, that's fine too. But I think most people should try photography, because there are so many facets of it a lot of people would find something they like in it.

I am the same way I have no interest in watching sports I want to play them but because of how my life went my body was damaged when I was young so by the time my body was able to do sports I was already an adult stuck in a kids body cancer does that and live on disability the bare minumum so I can't join any team even just friendly casual ones because I couldn't pay for anything and cannot drive either so yeah... life loves to mess with me XD

But that is good advice I will take you up on that and yeah I agree people should get into photgraphy I mean you see life from a completely different perspective and lenses

Hello Isaiah, welcome to CChat! I'm glad that you found us and joined in the discussions with us :)

BTW, I love your State, as what I've seen of it, from the Bar Harbor/Acadia area and then south from there along the coast, is simply beautiful :) What a great State to be a photographer in (y)(y)

God bless you!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it is quite nice. Granted, I do live in the most southern part of Maine, right on the border of New Hampshire, The farthest I've been is probably Agusta. And I've only been that far once. But it is quite nice.
