It is not mentioned. The prophecies of the Old Testament pertain to Israel. The Church is not revealed in the Old Testament (Rom.16:25; Eph.3:5, 9).

This statement of Paul covers your question: Behold, I shew you a mystery*; We shall not all sleep [die], but we shall all be changed [transformed] (1 Cor 15:51)

*Strong's Concordance (3466)
mustérion: a mystery or secret doctrine
Original Word: μυστήριον, ου, τό
Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter
Transliteration: mustérion
Phonetic Spelling: (moos-tay'-ree-on)
Definition: a mystery or secret doctrine
Usage: a mystery, secret, of which initiation is necessary; in the NT:
the counsels of God, once hidden but now revealed in the Gospel or some fact thereof; the Christian revelation generally; particular truths or details of the Christian revelation.

Which is not to say that the Rapture was not intimated in the Old Testament.

GENESIS 5: THE RAPTURE OF ENOCH
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Heb 11:5)

The Rapture is a supernatural and instantaneous event. It it God and Christ who transform, perfect, glorify, and translate the saints from earth to Heaven.

i agree the church was hidden in the Old Testament but the resurrection, the day of the Lord, the translation of those who are alive and remain, and the second coming coming of
Christ are all over the Old Testament but the mass rapture of believers is no where to be found.

I agree that Enoch is an example of the translation, or what you call the rapture but Enoch destroys the rapture heresy. Enoch didn’t see death but Enochs body die, Enoch was translated just prior to the death of his body.

Read the story of Lot and His family. They were moved to safety before judgement came on Sodom and Gomorrah. Perfect example of type and shadow of the Rapture. The Church must be removed before the Antichrist is revealed.

If you believe in the Resurrection, then you have to believe in the Rapture; same meaning.

If the church is a mystery, then the rapture of the church would also be a mystery.

The only thing about Lot being a foreshadow of the rapture is that lot was moved to a new location away from from Gods wrath, he wasn’t translated and taken to heaven.

I believe in the resurrection and the translation (rapture in your terminology), but I believe the translation is the exact same thing that happened to Enoch. Enoch didn’t see death because God took him out his body prior to the death of his body. Enoch didn’t see death but Enochs body did die according to the Bible.

All who believe are Israel with our city Yet with the Father to be brought down on His day. I will leave others to understand and interpret this better.

In the Old Testament, the day of God's wrath and judgement is called, "The day of the Lord". In the New Testament it is also called, "The Day of the Lord". This is seen in Acts 2:20, 1st Thessalonians 5:2 and 2nd Peter 3:10. This is the "day" of vengeance and judgement predicted so many times in the Old Testament. But there is another "day", that, if you read the context, ONLY has to do with the Church. It is called "the day of Jesus Christ", or "the Day of Christ". It is found in 1st Corinthians 1:8, 5:5, 2nd Corinthians 1:14, Philippians 1:6 and 2:16. This is the "Day" of rapture to the Judgement Seat of Christ in the clouds.

Because ONLY the Church is Raptured, this "Day of Jesus Christ" is only found in the New Testament.

On the contrary. "ALL Israel are concluded by God in UNBELIEF" (Rom.11:32).

There is not ONE scripture in the whole Bible that makes Israel and the Church the same. They are ALWAYS contrasted. And so it is in New Jerusalem. The Church is the Walls and Israel are the Gates. To be an Israelite one needs to be born of Abraham via Isaac via Jacob. It is from Jacob's name change that one is called an Israelite. To be a Church member one needs to be born of the Holy Spirit. The CONTRAST is vast.

I Fully Agree, A Big Contrast!

National Ethnic Israel Of The Flesh, They Are Not The Children Of God.

Israel The Church Of The Promised Seed, They Are The Children If God.

Romans 9:6-8KJV
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

New Jerusalem is with our Father in Heaven to be brought down by Him on His day. Jerusalem used to be, at the time of the Jebusites, simply Urushalaim. Then It could be translated as "City of Peace." When our Father chose urushaaim, it became City of Yahweh's peace. Add new, and it is the one coming in His time

Israel may be translated as ruling with El(ohim). Ruling with God. This is who all are who are faithful to Yeshua, Jesus.

You will find most will agree with an opposing interpretation by mutual agreement or, if you will, by vote but this does not change what the words truly mean.

Well ... you've just agreed with me. The full context is (Romans 9:3-8)

3 "For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites;
to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."

In the bold it is TWICE shown who Israel are - (i) Paul's kinsmen according to the FLESH, and (ii) sons of fathers who ACCORDING TO THE FLESH Christ came. That would be Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and JUDAH. That is, ISRAEL is OF THE FLESH. Verse 6 then CONTRASTS an Israelite with a "child of God". The grammar is clear. There are SOME who "ARE OF ISRAEL", but something happened and they are no longer Israel! How can this be? BECAUSE THE EXPERIENCE A NEW BIRTH VIA THE HOLY SPIRIT. This makes the "one-time Israelite" an Israelite NO MORE - but a Child of God. Just answer the question for yourself. WAS Peter the Apostle an Israelite? YES!. But IS he now an Israelite? NO! He is a NEW CREATURE (2nd Cor.5:17). And in this NEW MAN is NEITHER JEW ....! (Gal.3:28; Col.2:11).

Take Paul then. Verse 6 says, Paul ... OF ISRAEL ... is (NOW) NOT ISRAEL. What happened? The New Birth which makes a NEW MAN which has NO JEW and NO GREEK. Paul WAS Israel, but is NOW not Israel.

Verse 7-8 then gives an analogy. Abraham brings forth seed by the FLESH with Hagar. Sarah is BARREN. So the Holy Spirit must INTERVENE. Ishmael speaks of Israel according to the FLESH, and Isaac is the seed of promise which came by the intervention of the Holy Spirit.

The CONTRAST THEN is;
One company of men called Israel - born of the fathers
One company of men called "sons of God" - born by the Spirit

Brother, when Martin Luther started his fight against Rome, "most agreed with an opposing interpretation". Where they correct? No. So majority vote is not a proof. It is most probably wrong.

The meaning of Israel is given in Genesis 32:28;

"And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed."

If we take this definition, we can see that
  • Jacob was a crook and started a fight with God
  • Jacob, because he loved the birthright which gave him the Land of Canaan, was spared by God
  • Jacob, now Israel, because he "had power with God", and "prevailed" and was not killed, will limp forever
  • Jacob, who loved the birthright, was party to a Covenant. Since God keeps His word, even if Israel did not, Jacob will be restored
  • Israel, when offered the KINGDOM, refused it. In Matthew 21:43 it is taken away from Israel
  • Israel did not believe Moses. Israel did not believe the prophets and Israel did not believe Christ. They are "stiff-necked UNBELIEVERS"
This is what scripture reveals about Israel. But, even with this terrible record of UNBELIEF, they are in a Covenant with God and God will keep His Word and restore them. But Israel could NEVER be the Church - and IS NEVER, in the whole Bible, made the same as the Church.

You do not see that a Prince with Elohanu also rules with Him? It could be Ish Ra El, man prince El...............all the same they have the meaning I have learned many times over. And no, I will not start listing chapters and verse. Like the people of the time, I prefer repeating what I have heardd as best possible from the Word, as given by the Holy Spirit.
Martin Luther, like all founders of denominations, is nothing in face of the the Word except perhaps apostetic.

You aren't going to change God's truth as seen below.
