I could not say no when I received the Holy Spirit.......but I have said no in a certain area of my life to him..it has taken 28 yrs for him to work in and through me....to get me to the place of submitting being obedient to his will in that certain..area not once has he ever forced me.....
He showed me it again..this time I am in full agreement...because I know in my heart now that I can trust him..with this area of my life....it is about to come to pass.x
yes we can say no in areas of our lives. That’s part of Christian growth to learn to trust god and that is a trustworthy father

It’s all part of a massive work of god in our lives. First to draw us to trust him
In the gospel for salvation. Then to trust him again n each area of our life. Where we grow in him and learn to become
More like him

Like in salvation some
Come quickly. Some it takes god years to come to faith. Same
In our lives. Some areas we give quickly some areas god has to work for years to bring ya to faith in that area
a lifelong process and god gets the glory

I do believe in The Father ,Son and Holy Spirit...no question of doubt about that...all three are one....who doesn’t believe that?
Sadly many people don’t believe that, they’re known as Unitarian. My heart rejoices that you do believe in the Trinity even though the word is not in the Bible.

Same thing with OSAS, it’s just a term pertaining to eternal security which is emphatically written throughout the Bible.

I must do some biblical research on this as well. God can certainly know who is going to hell as a result of willful spiritual neglect but can't see how God would arbitrarily assign a person there.
calvinism theology:
For God so loved the world He arbitrarily assigned some people to rot in hell.

That seems to me to be contrary to God is love. , Very warped theology apparently based on some serious wresting, twisting, and omitting of scripture to suit the narrative. I can understand a desire to learn about John 3:16 but can't fathom how someone would diligently search scripture in a desire to prove God arbitrarily predestines someone to hell.

It’s entirely contrary to God is love and that’s why I put it out there, to help expose their heresy. Its a basic tenet of calvinism.

I agree that it is absolutely heresy and that it's diametrically opposed to John 3:16 and contrary to God is love as stated in 1 John 4:8.

I certainly agree Eternal Life is a gift from God.

I don’t really need to read some guy’s opinion about the passage. It very clearly says Faith is the gift.

If Faith is not a gift, then we have something to boast of. We can say “ our Faith comes from within US, and we dug it out, unlike those who didn’t “

So the idea that it isn’t fair to say God chose someone cuts both ways in this debate.
We can only boast if

1 Our faith is in self (works)
2 We came to faith with no help from God ie we came to faith if our own power and doing and thinking
Having faith in gods completed work we can not boast EPH 1 : 8-9 tells us we are saved by grace through faith not If works. So faith is not something we can boast in .

OSAS is not in the bible....Once Saved Always Saved....those words are not there.that is false teaching.
You think you can lose your Salvation? Or that God will throw some of His Children in the Lake of Fire?

I thought you did believe in Eternal Security.

I don't believe that God has predestined anyone to go to hell.
I think he predestined the following

He who believes has everlasting life

He who does not believe. If they do not repent. Will Never see life but the wrath of God abides But as long as they live they still have hope

It breaks my heart to see false doctrine being posted and especially whenever people believe it instead of the Word of God. The Bereans were faithful to search and make sure what they heard was truth and the only way to do that is to go directely to the source. God's Word

That is not my reaction.

That is God’s truth....there are no words in the bible that say.

Once Saved Always Saved.....I am not getting defensive..I am trying to discuss...only it seems you don’t like what I’m posting....

Hence accusing me of being defensive.

Show me scripture that says Once Saved Always Saved?...simple yes or no...is it biblical?
You answered your own question when you said you believe in trinity

Do you believe salvation can be lost?

If not (and I know you do not)

Then you believe in OSAS

Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and THAT not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

If God did not gift us our faith, where did it come from?

Here is one verse supporting OSAS. There are many others as well.

John 18:8-9
Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,” that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”

Jesus saves.

Are you saying God draws everyone to him?

God chooses everyone?...is that what you are saying?,x..everyone’s going to heaven?
God draws and enables (John 6:44,65) but not everyone responds. Not everyone is going to heaven. Not everyone believes. (John 3:18)
