I was doing a Bible quiz online. And one question asked who God loves the most. I saw my answer was different from the maker of the quiz. It's true God loves all people and wants all people to saved when and if possible. Yet, I see evidence in the Bible that those who haven't yet chosen to serve God with their lives, are regarded by God as enemies of God. Until or unless they repent and accept Him as Lord and Savior. And God will send all unbelievers to hell after Judgment Day takes place. And those who do choose to serve Him, are regarded as being His friends.

God is a JUST God

Jesus Himself said He came to save the "sick" lost..........not the righteous............ Scripture says that God would have ALL MEN BE SAVED............and that is why He tarries..........

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. John 4:23

(means that by the word "seeketh" such are not easily found - this tells us that there is much worship, but with most, it is false. The Story of the Bible is the Story of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. We must understand that all things pertaining to God are made possible by the Cross, and only by the Cross. If one doesn't understand the Cross of Christ relative, not only to Salvation but, as well, to Sanctification, in other words, how we live for God on a daily basis, such a person cannot truly and actually worship God, at least as they should.)

He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Mark 7:6-7

While we where yet sinners (enemies) Christ died for us.

in my understanding the bible says simply that God is Love....
So who does love love more?

In my understanding the bible says simply that God is an all consuming fire...
Love is like that you know.

The part about Jesus blood taking away all sins.
Treating the sacrifice of the First born son of Love(God) given to save your life as nothing, as something to be wasted...
A Father God who loved you that much, might take that personal.

Yes, God loves us before we love Him - that's what the Bible says! But great as that love is - i don't see scripture as saying it is equal with the love God has for a person when and if they choose to accept Jesus as Saviour in their life. I know that often, many sincere Christians explain this subjects in a different way, than others like me, who choose to explain the 2 aspects on the subject.
John 15:14
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
KJV
Comment: We are His friends if we obey Him. In my words, that means to let God be lord of one's life (accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of one's life). It isn't talking about sinless perfection, as only Jesus was capable of that.
Rom 9:13-16

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
KJV
Comment: God "hated" Esau, it says. Though of course, God would have loved him if he'd chosen to serve the Lord as Jacob had. But he chose not to serve God, and so that was the result.
Heb 12:28-29

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29 For our God is a consuming fire.
KJV
Comment: I think this is saying that if we have no fear of getting punished by God for sins that we refuse to repent of - then we would be targeted in the end - with punishment, which is described by the phrase, "For our God is a consuming fire."
John 3:36

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him
KJV
Comment: He's under God's wrath, until or unless he accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior. If he never does do so in this life, God's full wrath will be directed at him. A person who loves someone doesn't have wrath towards the loved one. The same is true of God.
Ps 37:12-13

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
KJV
Comment: This passage says that God will laugh at those who willingly reject Him in this life, and who never come to repentance and to a right relationship with God. This may sound cruel to some. But God, though His love is great and greater than anyone else's - also is a God of judgment, and is always just in His judgments of people. He wants all people to be saved, yet knows most will not choose to be saved.
As you say, I don't think there are any scriptures that say in words, "God loves His people more than those who do not choose to accept God. Yet other words like "friends, enemies", etc. plus other scriptures on the subject indicate until or unless people repent and accept Him as Lord - they are not fully loved or accepted by God.

On the other hand, it's true the Bible says that there is more rejoicing in heaven over a person getting saved, as compared to those who are already saved. To me, this just means that He feels more joy over the saving of the lost, at first, just because He's relieved that they finally got saved. Just like we feel glad and relieved when we find something we've lost and then found - that is precious to us.
Luke 15:7

7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
KJV

I look at it like this.
All of Gods love is to the fullest greatest extent. ( gives understanding to the fire part)
But its application towards an enemy or an infant or a valiant son differ in expression.

Just judgement comes from love. is an form of it and expression of love.
Everything that is possible to do in life can be done out of love.
From dying to killing, hatred to compassion.
God made us like Him in this so we could understand Him.
it is the context of creation.

Consuming fire IMHO has to do with the intense nature of Gods love.
For and against.
Like the verse "behold the kindness and severity of God."

Yes, God wants all to be saved, but His blessings are only in full measure given - to those who have sincerely chosen to let God be their Lord and Savior in life. Yes, as you say - God is a JUST God. This means He sees the need to reward those who sincerely serve Him - and also the need to punish all those who refuse to do so in this life.

you are right to say that those who refuse to Love and worship our God (note it has to be both) is indeed his enemy. And those who make some half hearted attempt to worship and love him, but are still focused on the world, will be spat out like warm water or sour milk.

I think it would be good to look at it from a parents point of view. A parent loves their children equally or at least should however they also view the more obedient ones in a different light than the rest. Those who obeyed and followed his direction were counted as righteous and were always rewarded for their obedience. I wouldn't say his love is less or more but he is more rewarding and more affectionate to the willingly obedient people

this is not a question of love as in who does God love the most as the Bible states God loves all

This is a question of SIN, God's remedy for sin and acceptance of Christ as the propitiation for said sin

God is holy and rejects all who have not had their sins forgiven; BUT the Bible states God is not willing that any perish but those who reject Him will perish and that is plain and a major doctrine

the quiz was ill prepared and misleading if that question is any indication of the other questions

Obedience AKA "loving God back" frees God to bless you. It may look like He loves you more, it may look like favoritism but it is not. Because the same blessing is available to everyone in Gods love.

Yes exactly I grew up learning how to be a good parent by seeing what not to do and favoritism is one of the biggest mistakes I have seen it makes the other children feel less valued less liked less loved. God being the first and original parent doesn't make this mistake he sets the standard of a true parent

God loves all the humans He created equally, it does not depend on our works. Salvation is for all humans through faith and repentance and God gives it through His love.

Blessings are different. If you are a robber you go to jail, you bring curses on yourself. If you love and express that love you have literal blessings. You bring the blessings on yourself. Through God's love He wants us all to have blessings.

I would see it more that there are those who refuse to believe the truth so as to be saved . Not a decision to serve . I don't think we see in the Gospel ( 1 cor .15 ,1-4 ) that people are to 'come and serve God with their lives '. They should want to do this after they are saved . The love towards us is in the cross where Jesus died for the sins of the world .
