Not an accusation but a warning to those who may be uncertain.

THE ETERNAL SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture... My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. (John 19:9,27-29)

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:25,26)

There are many more Scriptures to support this Gospel truth.
The word “if” means condition.

The word “if” means condition.
The "if" in that passage is one of the conditions for salvation -- faith is Christ alone. "By ME if any man enter in" is in contrast to any other means of obtaining or attaining salvation (see the preceding verses). This excludes all other religions, the works of the law, the sacraments, or anything else. This also corresponds to John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

It's not dangerous at all to believers because they know they have to do the work of Christ everyday as part of accepting the saving of Christ.

Jesus Christ says: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29 (WEB)

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me" is a request for action. That means everyday, we gotta take the yoke of Jesus Christ and learn from him. This cannot stop. Also, this clearly does not happen of its own accord or else Jesus Christ would have not asked us anything.

Do not be deceived by Satan and his followers. They try to spread false information to steal from believers and distribute the spoils they stole to their minions. Whenever you see people treating Christianity like an exclusive club with rude dismissal of some people that are considered outside the club and not loved equally to all of God's people, know that they have nothing to do with Jesus Christ and more to do with the Anti-Christ. Jesus Christ did not hate people who disagreed with him. Just remember that!

Godspeed.

The word “if” means condition.
"if" indeed we continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel, we confirm that He has now reconciled us in His fleshly body through death, in order to present us before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.

Just as in 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, we read - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, IF you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. To believe in vain is to believe without cause or without effect, to no purpose. Those who fail to hold fast to the word (the gospel) that Paul preached in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, demonstrated that they "believed in vain" (did not truly believe the gospel). Their belief was never firmly rooted and established from the start. Hence, IN VAIN.

Hebrews 3:14 - For we have become [past tense Gk. verb, gegonamen, meaning we have become already] partakers of Christ, (demonstrative evidence) IF we hold fast the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end. Notice that this is essentially a repeat of verse 6, in which we read: but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house - whose house we are, (demonstrative evidence) IF we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

The wording is not - "and you will become partakers of Christ (future indicative) if you (future indicative) hold fast." It is rather - "you have been, and now are partakers of Christ" (demonstrative evidence) IF in the future you hold fast the beginning of your confidence steadfast to the end." Holding fast confirms "have become" partakers of Christ.

The point is that not all of these Hebrews have become partakers in Christ and the only ones in the end who will be identified as having become partakers of Christ (demonstrative evidence) will be those who have held fast the beginning of their confidence steadfast to the end. Now what about those faltering Hebrews who depart from God, yet begin with loud confidence and profession of loyalty? But then later? Once again, holding fast confirms "have become" partakers of Christ.

In Hebrews 4:1-2, we read - "For indeed the gospel was preached to US as well as to THEM; but the word which THEY heard did not profit THEM, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For WE who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Obviously, not all of these Hebrews were genuine believers. *Notice that verses 2-3 make a distinction between US who have BELIEVED and do enter that rest and THEM who heard the word but did not mix faith with what they heard and will not enter that rest because of UNBELIEF.

Jude 1:5 - ..the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.

In the Old Testament the rest attained by the settlement in Canaan, resting, dwelling, habitation which denotes the fixed and tranquil abode promised to the Israelites in the land of Palestine.

The future rest for believers will be a perpetual rest that is to be enjoyed uninterruptedly in the presence of the Lord. :)

Do you believe that a person needs to do deeds of faith or works in order to receive Jesus ,recieve eternal life and be sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption ?
I believe the Christian must trust and place, maintain their faith exclusively in Christ and Him Crucified (The Blood of Jesus) only to remain saved.

I believe that if we are truly saved,we do the above automatically....so will always be saved...as our Saviour takes up residence in a believers Heart.....

In other words God gives us the gift of Faith...then works follow.

The Miracle of God’s Word

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
...
Paul here reveals that it is no longer the Law he is attempting to live up to, but rather that he is identified with and trusting in Christ and His great atoning sacrifice at the cross. He does not say, “I was crucified”, but rather, “I am crucified”, because Jesus taught a daily denial of self, and a daily taking up of our cross, which is faith in what He did there for us, to be able to follow Him (Luke 9:23). Paul says that he IS crucified with Christ, the last Adam, who is the last representative of ALL men. Nevertheless Paul claims that he is also alive, because the Resurrected Christ lives in Him.

We learn through this one verse of scripture that the Children of God live exclusively by the faith of Jesus, which led Him to Calvary for ALL of humanity. Jesus lived and died by Grace (Hebrews 2:9) through faith perfectly, His Righteous work at Calvary (Isaiah 32:17, Colossians 1:20), becoming the ONLY avenue through which God will impart ALL Grace and Righteousness to those who will believe upon Him. The measure of faith we have obtained (Romans 12:3, 2 Peter 1:1) was given to us as we believed in what He did by Grace through faith for us on the cross. THAT faith and THAT faith alone works by love (Galatians 5:6), therefore let us make sure today THAT is what we are trusting in, for there we will find the promised GRACE we need each and every day!

Seeking God in His Word and experiencing Him through faith in the sacrifice of Christ!

So how does one pull themselves up by their own bootstraps and "maintain" their faith? Does God only preserve those who preserve themselves? (Psalm 37:28) I believe that those who truly believe the gospel are sealed in Him until the redemption of the purchased possession. (Ephesians 1:13,14) To fail to continue to believe the gospel is unfathomable to me! The gospel is too engrained in me and I'm too convinced and TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY. :)

The Holy Spirit...I have explained how He works through the measure of Faith we received. See Romans 8:2

I agree, the Holy Spirit is our guide,we look to him for everything......we are each given a measure of Faith and it needs to be exercised so that it can grow.

I believe that to be saved and recieve Jesus and to be baptised into Christ by the Holy Spirit ,who seals us until the day of redemption. Is done by simply through faith , which means believing the simple Gospel message . 1 cor 15 .1-5

It is important to remember that we cannot base our security of salvation on our feelings but rather on the promises of God and His perfect plan of salvation.

Justified is a legal standing it cannot be undone.
