**profanity removed**If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour then the law no longer applies. Jew or Gentile doesn't make any difference. Good works wont get you to heaven, so if your trying to be holy via your own sweat and blood, forget it, you have already failed. Your welcome.

If You Walk In The Flesh Are You Still Under The Law?
Romans 2

12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law 13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; 14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

17 Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God, 18 and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, 19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law. 21 You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? 22 You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? 24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.

25 For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. 26 Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision? 27 And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law? 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

If You Walk In The Flesh Are You Still Under The Law?
Romans 8
4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

I would not think so. Anytime that you are not walking in the Spirit, you are walking in the flesh.

Walking in the flesh is yielding to the desires of our fleshly nature. doing those things that makes our spiritual conscience feel guilty, because we know that it is against God's commandments, but at the same time it feels good to us for a time. The scriptures point to the fact that it is pleasurable for the moment. Moses, when he was living as a prince in the King's palace said that he would rather suffer the afflictions with God's people than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.

yup.

so if OP is talking about someone not having the Spirit, the topic is whether an unsaved person is under Moses or not.
Gentiles never were; only Jews & proselyte Jews. so. unsaved goyim? easy: nope not under Moses. unsaved Jew? now we have a trickier question because it's actually the question, '
is the Mosaic covenant completely annulled or only invalidated for believing Jews?'

i thought i had asked a pretty relevant question...

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Rom 8:9)

Born again believers by default are in the Spirit, the rest are in the flesh.

You can never separate Christ from His Finished Work at Calvary Cross. Therefore, Christ and the Cross is the most important part of the plan of God. What you have stated is called spiritual adultery (Romans 7:1-4).

99.9999% of Believers live this way without the help of the Holy Spirit. They have fallen from Grace! Christ has become of no benefit to them! Therefore, the works of the flesh will manifest (Gal. 5:19-21 / the sin nature). This is called Spiritual Adultery (proclaiming Christ while forsaking the Cross - lukewarm - another Jesus)! (Romans 7:1-4)

If "Righteousness" came come by the law (what I do), Christ in dead in vain. Gal. 2:20-21

If the Believers Trust and Faith is not placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and the Cross where the victory was won (The Blood of Jesus), this Believer is functioning under the Law of sin and death.

Let the Believer understand that there are only two places he can be, Grace or Law. If he doesn’t understand the Cross as it refers to Sanctification, which is the only means of victory, he will automatically be under Law, which guarantees failure.

The law book is in regard to the whole bible is law .No opinions of men. Dividing and the numbering of laws like 614 takes away from the whole .

In the beginning God. . it establishes the law of interpretation . .Saying and it was "good" establishes the unseen seal as a law.

Not one jot or tittle will be removed before the last day . Then it the letter of the law death, (scripture) what the eyes see will be cast in the judgment fire of God. Never to rise and condemn through corruption (dying) a entire creation ever again .
The former things under the Sun written in the Bible will not be remembered or ever come to mind ever again .

Now is the time under the Sun that we can obey its loving commandments with those who walk by faith. . (the unseen understanding hid in parables)

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

arE yoU askinG abouT aN unsaveD jeW or a gentilE?
I was trying to get an understanding of something I read some time back. I was wondering if people are saved and do sin, which I think everyone does at some point, at that point of sinning are you under the law because the sin is of the flesh. I know your are convicted of the sin and repent but was wondering if that sin is still covered at the time it was actually committed. If this makes any sense.

That makes sense.
I would say no, if you have died with Christ you have died as far as the law and the law has no jurisdiction over you even when sin is still found in your flesh.
Our life is no longer the life of the body, and that's true even while we stumble, IMO
