That makes sense.
I would say no, if you have died with Christ you have died as far as the law and the law has no jurisdiction over you even when sin is still found in your flesh.
Our life is no longer the life of the body, and that's true even while we stumble, IMO
I did think that but when people say you have to repent of that new sin and I read If you walk in the Flesh you are under the law, it threw me a little and made me think.
Thank you

Earthly Wisdom
Sensual, devilish with bitterness, envy's, strife in the heart.

Wisdom from above
Pure, Peaceable, Gentle, full of mercies and good fruits, without hypocrisy.

If You Walk In The Flesh Are You Still Under The Law?
Col 2.14 .
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Romans 8
4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9¶But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

My sheep listen to my voice,John I believe in scripture.

We become or learn to become obedient to the Lord after we are saved.

Nothing earns us salvation, that is a free gift from God and only God.

The ' sheep' are Israel , not us in 2020 . Mathew 15.24 " I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel . they were the ones that listened to Jesus , only the ones who had already been learning of the Father .

Psalm 95:7

Know that the Lord is God.It is He who made us,and we are His;we are His people, and sheep of his pasture.

That scripture speaks “to me”....yes me!...in 2020..... I think you and I are on a different page to what we believe....which is fine.

7For he is our God; and WE are the people of his pasture, and the SHEEP of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
8Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9When your FATHERS tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10Forty years long was I grieved with THIS GENERATION, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
Gentiies were not in the wilderness . The sheep are ISRAEL .

Romans 8
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

It is true we are not under law. We love Christ and follow Him, and Christ is love. It is like walking on a straight road filled with abundance and joy, but at the same time the law shows us the boundaries of that road. You can choose to love your neighbor so you don't take what belongs to him, or you can choose to follow the law not to steal. It ends up with the same boundaries on the road. It is better to follow Christ than the law.

We can say we are under grace, not law. At the same time it is also true that ignoring God's commandments is sin and sin kills unless it is given to Christ for forgiveness. Our sin then does not kill us through grace if we give it to Christ, but that does not mean that sin not forgiven kills. Christ will even forgive us of the sin we are not aware of if we ask Him to.

God's law and principles are eternal, the same in Genesis through Revelation. God gave the Israelites help with understanding these principles like fleshly circumcision and food restrictions to help them understand keeping pure in mind and belonging to the Lord, and then told us we don't need to obey these helps. Based on this change of the Lord's commandments people say the OT does not tell us of God, but it does tell us. The sacrificial system used animal blood as a symbol of the blood of Christ but the principles were the same unless you are so carnal in your thinking that you only see the blood of animals. By studying that system you can see what Christ does for us, it was to make atonement for sins. They list the sins it atones for.

Therefore we should take heed/notice/adhere to the statement following. You are to put to death the misdeeds of the body. In essence obedience to God is of paramount importance. You do not get a free pass. You now have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. You are no longer slaves to your former nature. You have the freewill choice now to obey or disobey. And since sin is no longer your master, you no longer need to live therein. You're welcome.

And therefore , because we have the Holy Spirit ( permanently until the day of redemption .Rom 8.23 . Eph 1.14 . Eph 4.30.) ..What your missing from what Paul is repeatedly saying is , because we are secure , we do . Because of our security we preach and share with others . Because we are forgiven, we forgive . The motivation is Eternal security . You have it backwards . There is no maturity, no growth, no Gospel preaching from your position. Which is the breeding ground for legalism , Lordship salvation , works gospel and no fruit bareing .

The English here is very plain to see, read and understand. You cannot harmonise it because it does not conform to your doctrine. You do not want to uproot the wrong foundations that you have been building on. Therefore the only alternative is to twist the scripture. Why anybody would want to do that this side of the grave or rapture is beyond comprehension.

I will post the scripture again. Plain for all to see.

Romans 8v13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

The Spirit is only given to those who have believed in Jesus Christ, and no other. And this self-same scripture above says that you are to by the Holy Spirit put to death the misdeeds of your body you so that you will LIVE (SALVATION). So you are not ultimately saved YET. You are only justified. Salvation happens at the end.

Romans 5
9 Much more then, having now been justified (past tense) by His blood, we shall be saved (future) from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled (past tense) to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved (future) by His life.
