Galatians 5:21
“Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

What is not inherit the kingdom of God mean?
I am asking you, if indeed you are interpreting what Paul is saying there correctly, you are saying Paul is trying to teach that many sins can cause a believer to lose his salvation.

Does it make sense to you, in the context of what Paul is teaching us regarding salvation in his other epistles?

James 2
2 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.

Believer in our Lord Jesus Christ mean Christian
That's not what the verse says. You're quoting a false, watered down version. Stick with the KJV.

It seems to me that every Christian would be in agreement with every other Christian if they read scripture and didn't add to it with their own opinions about it but were humble before the Lord.
sigh

That is what Paul state and I believe it is inspired by Holy spirit

2 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

Our Lord = James Lord and the recipient letter Lord

So the recipient must be christians

Yes, Jesus is the Lord of the Jews, whether they receive Him or not.

They will in the last days when they turn back to Him before His coming.
So you believe James wrote only for Jews in the future and not apply for every body else

Example

Faith without work is dead

But for us faith without work is life.

Ok to have faith and hate God, hate other

And you know the manifestation of hate other can be murder, steal envy etc

By works a man is justified and not by faith only....is that you?

Isn't it possible that the Lord has given His people the Jews doctrine to follow in the last days before His return?

I agree with you. We take our sins (any sin) to Christ for forgiveness and we can have faith in that forgiveness. But if we are a sinner who glories in sin and means to keep it, how can Christ forgive what we keep?

Paul explained it well, using his faith to show us. He said he didn't understand himself for "what I hate I do". We are human and so we sin, but when we accept Christ, we give our will to Him.

That is what I understand, James try to say.

Faith without work is dead.

Faith to God > couse you invite Jesus to your heart it will cause you love god and other
Love other make you help other. Or work for free to,help other

Like what Jesus did, die for other.

Jesus in our heart make us act like Jesus. Love and helping other

Yep, Christ in us make us hate sin, though I am aware I do what I hate, but I am sorry and ask forgiveness every time I do what I hate

If so, the Lord will say, this doctrine only for future Jews

If it doesn't say that, than I believe that doctrine applicable for every body

It was my impression his anwers were determined by the demographic he spoke to, He spoke against whitewashing in the passing of judgements. Let us not forget, he was addressing also the scriptures which had been written addressing him, as though they were foreign to him. Who do you say i am? Why is it written the son of man much suffer much? Moses gave this instruction b/c....

That’s all part of rightly dividing the word of truth.

But only was it understood after the resurrection. So what were those before the cross trusting in? No one was looking forward to the cross since it was a mystery hidden. If they received eternal salvation, what did they believe in? Why weren't they present with the Lord in heaven upon death? Why the need for Abraham's bosom?
How do you believe people were saved in the Old Testament?

Remember Paul says Abraham was saved by faith.

Actually, Hebrews is addressed to the Jews living in the last days before the return of Christ. ;)
Dont you see the problem that when James sends the letter out, he is actually sending it to NO ONE. But to someone 2000 years later.
People copied the letters by hand back in those days, and were happy to have a piece of what came to be the New Testament

Your view cannot work just because of church history, how it all played out and how people understood it then.

The NT Authors quote the OT extensively, tell us that they are written for our learning and consider them enough to make us wise unto salvation.

What did He say? He came to His own first. There were no Christians there. One can say yes and no. Its His word and every word has meaning. So Jewish people can see Christ as Jew and came to only them 1st and apply all what was said Matt-John to only them. And we grafted in can read it and the sweet sweet holy spirit...a song playing right now as I typed that "Spirit of the living God " by Meredith Andrews..

So hard to explain. Hes said 4 words to me one time and.. it was as if they exloaded. So much was said in 4 words.. I have no way of explaining that. Anyway one should always make sure you know to WHOM He/word was talking to.
