Like a silent early morning mist creeping across the landscape
So deceitful desires caress the soul seeking to block all escape
One becomes flooded by waves of pleasurable sensations
With a deluded heart now seduced by an evil persuasion
The cry for holiness echoes in the corridors of the mind
For with such temptation there's a door they can surely find

The way out is there yet drowning in a sweet deceptive sensuality
Wrong becomes right and sin becomes the main practicality
Dark thoughts of evil fantasy replaces the image of God
Where satan smiles though he knows he's the real underdog
Yet once the dark sweetness of sensual sin is tasted
The soul is crushed with regret for the chance of victory was wasted

What's wrong with creating a poem that reflects the reality of something that does happen in Christians lives?
Is this a problem for you to read something like this?

it often happens in forums, that what one doesn't say can be mis-interpreted' -
as you can see by my words, there is no criticism, just a request ...
hub and I thought that the 'poem' was deep and very well written...

Well it did sound a bit critical and you even use my profile name "Encouragement"to highlight the point you were trying to make..so instead of your comments being encouraging they had the opposite effect.

Sexual sin is one of the real hear breakers in a Christian's life and in the bible we see how lives have been affected by this..is king David.God is always with us and is our awesome forgive and helps us to overcome..The poem I created is about the internal process of how we can become deceived by such pleasurable desires and then later regret what happened.

Thanks for appreciating what I had written

I like the idea of including the encouragement while showing the effects of the sin and trying to balance the two, Take a look at my piece "Sam Kline" and let me know if you think I accomplished that. Thanks

Yes I am fully aware of this..I am here to write to express my creative writing and I am fully of what you are referring too.I choose to focus on a specific dynamic here and nothing more.I am not writing to suit preferences of others would prefer.I have been writing for a number of years now.
This post is based on real life pain and trauma..this post in not one I chose to cover in candy.
I will check out the post you mentioned

I see this poem as a snapshot, and a good one, of a serious sin problem that many of us struggle with. I think if you were to develop this into a large piece then thee would be room to add encouraging thoughts.

My old fears
have
turned into courage
and
Those terrors that haunted me
in
the night?
I
wrapped them up
in
Wisdom's Cup
and
burned them
in
The Light...

Yes of course I could of done this from the outset.Yet I choice to end it like this as at times the consequences have been tragic..many pastoral have committed suicide as they were about to be exposed, unwanted pregnancies, destroyed families, ministries badly affected, premature death...the list goes on...king David's situation ended in two deaths..a husband murdered and a dead baby..
Hard as it is to digest...this is the other side of sexual sin that I painted..

Hi I assume your referring to my poem?😊😊
Coz someone else add a short poem here recently too..🤷‍♀️
yes, your poem.
I think it captures and puts into words the internal struggle people have with sin, not only sexual but ALL sin.
I could go on in trying to explain myself, but I'm known to sometimes ramble on and on with my words and don't want to add or take away from the picture you have painted.
I think it was well written and expressed.

As His Own we are to think on His things, and asking what is right not so much "what is wrong". Galatians 5-
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Awwwwwww I am so blessed by your comments.Yes that's right I am very aware of the internal battles that happens when faced with temptation or when the enemie poles on us spiritual pressure.God truly understands what we go through at times and all we need to do is call out to him as he is right there beside us.
If you need to "ramble" as you call it..It would be completly fine by be..so never hold back.Since I created this post I have had to defend the reasons why I didnt add an element of encouragement at the end ect.
I have written other poems here to encourage..yet this one was to capture the essence of sin and how we can be ensnared by it without through deceitful desires.
Awwww (again)..I am blessed by your presence and be free to ramble as much as you want..my eyes will always be there to read what u wanna say.👀✍🏻👍👍😊😊

Yez I am aware of what the scriptures say as you have just quoted.we are called to be holy and manifest the fruit of the spirit through christ. The bible also states the must not even be a hint of sexual immorality in our lives.
However just like Paul says in romans where he mentions the war between the flesh and the spirit (doing the things he shouldn't do and not doing the things he should do)..

I was asking someone here if they has an issue reading a poem that just captures the reality of sin.(not to glorify it or to give the impression that it is hopeless).
So things in life I have learned affect others more that others for a variety or reason. So the reality of struggling with certain sins is a reality that we all have to overcome with God help.

we should always CAP...
it's just a way of showing our honoring and respect
for Him and His Holy Sacrifice...
