We all have issues and God teaches us how to deal with
them. Nothing is God's fault it's ours because of sin. God
has given us everything we need to live A successful life.
How wonderful God is to give us, A sinful people everything
we need and to send his son to die for our sins and free
us from the consequences of sin and one day we will forever
be with the Lord.

Thank you for this nugget. Sometimes, we seem to be unsuccessful, even after much prayer. We think that God has somehow forgotten us, or that we have a problem. But it does not necessarily follow. God has a way of leading us to His greater glory. Take our Lord for instance. After 3½ years of gracious words, healings, miracles, relief from demons, feeding the hungry and raising the dead, He was conspired against by "all the people" (Matt.27:25) to shed His blood. Was Jesus's ministry to Israel a failure? No! Israel failed DESPITE His ministry. But this opened the gates of grace to the heathen.

The disciples were caught in two storms. Once in Matthew 8 and once in Matthew 14. In the first, our Lord Jesus rose and calmed the storm. We like that when the storms of life buffet us and death looks imminent. In the second storm, the Lord sent them in the boat alone. The disciples got into trouble because they were OBEDIENT. This time our Lord did not cause the storm to stop. This time Peter got into worse trouble. This time, the disciples must learn that DESPITE the storms of life, caused by obedience to our Lord, we will make it to the other side. The first resolution was glorious. The disciples learned of the Son of God. But the disiciples were left unchanged. The second achieved more glory. The disciples learned about Christ AND themselves.
