Galatians
6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

What sorts of infractions might this allude to? Is God's forgiveness not total and complete?

It is good seeing you again. All blessings in Jesus, Yeshua.

We must remain steadfast in Jesus, Yeshua, otherwise we are on our own, far from Him.

God's forgiveness is total and complete in fact it is his forgiveness that we need to ever be concerned about. As king David said "against you and you only have I sinned Lord.
Our ignorance and stubbornness stands in the way of our walk with the Lord.
Just because we are his child does not make us exempt paying the penalty of foolishness.
Some to the point of reprobate.
On the other hand a unbeliever may have all the toys and glitter in this world but I never seen a u-haul follow a Hurst 😉😉

The verse does not seem to allude to every minor misstep of a Christian. Mocking God is a horrendous thing of enormous proportion. This verse is speaking about everlasting and eternal consequences(end of v.8). These are consequences of lifestyle choices. Stumbling and sowing are two completely different concepts. Satan would love to have us believe that they are the same. He is the accuser of the Brethren and the abuser of their minds.

That having been said, we can seek to draw nearer to God by doing our best every day for Him as He gives us strength.

“TWO DESTINIES

7 Be not deceived (refers to the fact that a Believer can definitely be deceived; Paul is speaking primarily of Believers allowing false teachers to move their Faith from the Cross to other things); God is not mocked (God, in fact, is mocked when we substitute something else in place of the Cross): for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap (the Law of sowing and reaping, which will unfailingly come to pass).

8 For he who sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption (those who make something else the object of their Faith, rather than the Cross, which means they are now depending on self-will); but he who sows to the Spirit (does so by trusting exclusively in Christ and what Christ did at the Cross) shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (God’s Prescribed Order of Victory).”

GAL. 5:19.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20.
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21.
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before,
as I have also told you in time past, that they 'which do such things' shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
PAUL makes it very 'clear' that if a 'believer practices the 'above', then he 'will NOT INHERIT the KINGDOM OF GOD'...,
for this is a "SPIRITUAL KINGDOM', which flesh and blood cannot INHERIT...
this will always 'line-UP' with His Words,
GAL. 6:7.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.
8.
For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to The Spirit
shall of The Spirit reap 'life everlasting'.
(it's our God-Given-Free-Will-Choice)...

I think if you are claiming to belong to Christ a person should behave like it. It's not that we are required to, or the Father will UNADOPT His child, but that Christians should WANT to. However, even the apostle Paul had trouble keeping to that standard all the time. His 'wretched man' confession is my confession also.

No I think it speaks of something else. Those of the spirit will act on the flesh as non of us are perfect but God still loves us and those in the flesh are those who are of the world look at the world around us so much arrogance self boasting sexual content of every kind everywhere which brings forth perverted thoughts foul language and corrupts

The reason that Galatians was written is found in Chapter 1, albeit a bit hidden, but openly in Chapter 2. The big enemy of the early Church was twofold: (i) the flesh with its intrinsic Adamic nature, and (ii) the Law of Moses. Persecution by the Gentiles only came later. In Galatians, these two points came together. Certain men, probably of the Pharisees, seeing that the gospel of Jesus could not be stopped, came and taught the once Gentile Believers that it was all well and good believing in Jesus, but that sanctification to lead a holy life and do the will of God, came by following the Law of Moses. Now, this problem is still prevalent today, and is rife on this Forum.

The strength of this argument again twofold: (i) The Law was given by God and is good, spiritual and "unto life" (Romans 7), and (ii) the obvious effects of having eaten from the Tree of Knowledge of GOOD and Evil is to clothe oneself with works of Law. The trouble with this all is that God allowed 1,500 years of Law to show that no man can keep the Law, and that the Law could not sanctify a man. It could only point to judgment. Now, the weakness lay not in the Law. It lay in man's flesh (Rom.8:3). The Law addressed the flesh and in man's flesh nothing good "dwelt" (Rom.7:18). Man is "carnal" through and through, and the only cure for this is the death of the flesh.

God's solution to man's utter ruin lies with Himself. In the Person of the Holy Spirit is the solution to a human nature devoid of God's nature. To get this nature a man needs a second birth by this Spirit (Jn.3:3-6). This same Spirit is the Agent who sanctifies a man's character (2nd Cor.3:18). And again, this same Holy Spirit is the Agent Who raises a dead man to human life again (Rom.8:11). That is, a man is WHOLLY RECOVERED not by efforts of the flesh, but a cooperation with God Spirit. The flesh must not be reformed. The flesh must not be taught. The flesh must not in any way be pandered to in the daily life of a Christian. The flesh must be put on "our" cross daily (Lk.9:23).

Galatians 6:7-8 does not say;

7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever EVIL man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth EVIL to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

It says that ANYTHING that is sown by the flesh will produce corruption. The flesh is the result of eating from a Tree. The fruit is deadly WHETHER GOOD OR EVIL! Maybe an example will suffice. In a Local Assembly it is noised about that a certain family have had no food for two days. What shall the Church do? If the Local Assembly has thirty families and each cook two extra meals a month for this family, the burden is easily distrubuted and the hungry family is filled. Is that not GOOD? NO! It is NOT GOOD! You may say; Brother, are you a Christian? Have you no compassion? And did the Lord not admonish us to help those in need? Will you not, by your hardheartedness, destroy the Christian testimony? The answer is something else:

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

My duty is FIRST to ASK THE LORD. I must FIRST put my WORKS before the Holy Spirit. He is my HEAD. He is my BOSS. Why should I approach the Lord on such a clear matter of LAW (James 2:15)? The reasons should be obvious. (i) God is your Lord and Christ is your HEAD. A body that jerks around without commands from the head is a spastic. And (ii) The Lord KNOWS THINGS YOU DO NOT. What if, unbeknown to you, the brother resigned his job and is not working? Then the mind of God is shown, not by James 2:15 but by 2nd Thessalonians 3:10-12. If you feed such a man you might do GOOD, but you have SOWN TO THE FLESH! God gave the command in Eden that the man shall work for his bread. A man who sits at home while his Christian brethren work for him is thumbing his nose at God. And God's solution is his empty belly, and even the empty bellies of his family! If you feed such a man you "sow to corruption". You might say; "Well ... I'll feed his wife and children only!" Is this GOOD or EVIL???

ASK the Holy Spirit!!! Anything done OUTSIDE of the Holy Spirit is of the FLESH and you will reap corruption. It is not a case of God punishing you. It is a principle of Genesis 1:11-12. Whatever you sow, that crop will be harvested. Sow a million dollars in a Missionary Association and you will reap famine if it was not an instruction of the Holy Spirit. Cast out a demon without a command from the Holy Spirit and on that fateful day before the BEMA (Rom.14:10; 2nd Cor.5:10), you will hear these words.

21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"
(Matthew 7:21-23)

If you are not sure if these were Christians, I can supply at least ten proofs why they were. Here are two;
  1. In verse 21 the word "saith" is present continuous tense. That is, they say "Lord, Lord" to Jesus through their lifetime (Rom.10:13). But "shall" is future tense. That is, these were men who NOW call Lord, Lord, meaning Jesus, shall ... at a later date, be denied entry and must "depart".
  2. In Mark 16:17, casting out a demon is a "sign" of a believer. Jesus Himself said that neither Satan nor his minions would ever do this because his kingdom would collapse (Matt.12:24-25).

What you have described is the difference between good or God. In my experience, the church is so concerned in doing what is seemingly 'obvious' as good that we run ahead doing what we think is God's work.
Somewhat like Mary and Martha.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Again we have a verse about sowing and reaping. Again the context is broader in scope than just evangelism. The reminder appears everywhere that the bed we make in the few short years of this life will be the selfsame one we sleep in for all eternity.

Christian walk carefully and mindfully.

Ephesians
5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Understanding is far more productive than reference numbers, understanding by the Holy Spirit that is.

Think on how our Savior and His disciples responded...................

Yes God's forgiveness is complete. Repentance is sowing to the Spirit which reaps life.

God's forgiveness for those that he gave to Christ to die for on the cross is total and complete, as far as eternal inheritance is concerned, but even after we have been regenerated, we still carry the baggage of our sinful nature with us and, at times do still sow to the flesh, and lose our fellowship with God (corruption) not our eternal inheritance, until we repent, and God forgives us.

Let us NOT forget what our Holy Saviour is doing for us each and every day of our lives,
as we grow stronger and stronger while walking on His path of Righteousness, = we must learn how to attain
His Holy Gift of being our Intercessor, sitting on the 'right hand of God', = this is His JOB for us,
for this is what He has told us, that His Sacrifice, has 'reconciled' us to God by His 'death' -
ROM. 5:10.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more,
being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
ROM. 3:25.
Whom God has set forth to be a Propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare
His Righteousness for the remission of sins that are (((past))), through the forbearance of God;
HEB. 9:15.
And for this cause He is our 'daily' (( Mediator))) of the New Testament, that by means of death,
for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament,
(they which are called might receive the promise of 'eternal inheritance').
11PETER 1:9.
But he that lackes these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten
that he was purged (((from his old sins.)))
1JOHN 1:6.
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7.
But if we walk in The Light, as He is in The Light, we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. "confession'...
8.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us.
9.
If we 'confess our sins', He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10.
'If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us'.

If we 'confess our sins, after we have committed them, and we are convicted by His Word,
then we go to Him as our 'High Priest', confessing and then we know that we are 'forgiven',
because we are 'reconciled by the death, but saved by His Life' -
this is True, Godly, Liberty...
