Been thinking a lot about sharing…

Have you ever reflected on how He teaches us to share?

I don't know about you, but sharing, which shows the sincerest kind of caring, has not always come easy for me. As children, sharing is a challenge for all. Our parents seek to teach us to share our toys and to think about others, not to be selfish.

As we get older, we begin to learn how to share ideas, family and friends.

Oh me oh my, sharing family and friends has always been a sour pickle for myself. Yes, I have a possessive streak that rages right into toxic sea of petty selfishness. Well, MUCH less now, thanks to His work, patience, and the people He has placed in my life.

I see him all over everything that encompasses the beautiful concept of sharing.

He shares His Creation with us. He is so generous in giving Himself for us. He teaches us to share Him, to share in the sufferings and in the joy. We also see His sharing the the word and the gospel. Most of all in the way He loves and extends applicable mercy, constantly sharing His Grace, so that we can share ours.

In Heaven and on earth there is no fighting over who gets rights over Jesus. There is no my Jesus, my God, none of that taking ownership, or Lordship over our Lord. He shares Himself, showing no partiality. His sharing grows within exponentially if we seek Him.

Lord, help us all to share, selflessly, our resources, our love, our loves, our faith, our lives...help us share You, more and more. Your shared Glory shines so beautiful, so radiant.

Thank you for this. It is not easy to be as honest as this but it is a wonderful testimony to God's love in your life. When people talk about miracles and gifts from God it is easy to focus on the flashy things. I think growth, being reshaped by God, is the greatest miracle within the life of a Christian. These are good words. Hugs.

Hello beautiful and gracious lady, ,laughing heart. Thank you for your words of encouragement. He helps us soooo much. Dying to self is a process of His heavenly making. I know you are grateful. You show it often in how you share and care. Again...ty...hugs.

When "we are happy" becomes more important than "I am happy" we get a little closer to what God wants.

Charlirenee, so true thats sharing is something children need to learn. My thoughts...
I see it everyday at school. I work in a school library and see...what happens when children dont learn how to share!

squabbles, fighting, tears and resentment! The key for adults is to be generous. provide for all so that children dont feel they need to compete with each other for attention. God has a lot of patience, we need it too, to wait our turn.

I see other children in turn help others, if they have won a prize (which first of all is a book) they might then help out or offer their prize to others. I had many children go after prizes, when I thought they were maybe being greedy and others missing out tell them the winners they can also give their extra prizes away to those who havent won so they can feel like winners too. These are random prizes based on whoever borrows a 'winning book' (and there are many) and books are items that once read can be shared.

A library is based on sharing, a good librarian is one who doesnt keep the books locked up lol. I think when one has an abundance of resources you just cant afford to be stingy, so be generous and that will then feed into others being generous too. Thats what God teaches me. I have over 7000 books for about 400 students, which is plenty! Its not like I have only 200 books for 400 students. And its the same with God. He always has plenty to give, we just need to ask Him.

PRO. 3:13.
Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

'sharing' from the heart is such an 'un-natural' thing for mankind -
if you have been blessed with this gift, then know that you are
one of the 'called-chosen'-elect' = happy, set apart,
:):)
