Why are Christians such phonies?

Without faith it I impossible to please God.

I do know that we're all in desperate need of God's mercy. Our dear Savior says,

I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you, that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? Mt.5:44-46

It would be very difficult to love people who contradicted everything we said, lied about us, spit on us, beat us without mercy and put us to death in an excruciating way, but that's what our dear Jesus did. Lets ask him to help us to be like him and leave the judging to him.

Thanks but the name calling is not helping here. Some call others names simply because they disagree don't like the questions. Praise GOD He always hears. And try to remember what we personally think about that "false/phony" Christian.. and then how we talk about them.. its really Christ we are talking to and about. Did not He say "If you've done it to the least of these my brethren you've done it unto me"?

How are judging them? A judgment based only one what was see hear? Remember "But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

So no matter what it looks like sounds like.. God does not see like us. We can't see the heart so we must take into account not able to seeing the heart.

Hello we live in a fallen world and we judge based on for the most part a moment in time. There is countless things they can be going through.. you your self know about this. So.. show them what it does mean to be a believer a follower of Christ. To treat them how HE treats you. Has He ever called you any name? its His kids not ours.. careful how we treat them/Him

Why should tribulation and suffering on this earth cause one to lose their ( Faith ) trust in the Atonement of the LORD Jesus ?

Unless,, maybe the person in question is under the impression that being a believer in Jesus will see them protected by God from tribulation and suffering on this earth?

And if someone believes that being a Believer in Jesus garentees them protection from suffering in this life then do they believe Jesus when He said::

John 16: KJV
33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

I've been a Christian for a long time and I saw such terrible things; my eyes have been opened to just how sick the church as a whole is. My husband pulled us out of a church and put us into a church I did not like. I had been warned about the family that owned the church and the warning turned out to be true. The youth pastor was corrupt and cheated a family member in a big way. It really hurt but then they were caught doing something corrupt and their names were splashed across the newspapers - countrywide. They hurt a lot of people and then they went to a fair day the town held and set up their booth trying to draw new victims into their church. They were so blatant about it. I actually think they were stealing from the church.

Then we went to another church and the leadership was terrible. They told me that "God" put them in their positions and what they said was it. I was shocked at such overt pride. Then I was injured and we stopped attending the church we went to for 10 years. The pastor stopped taking my calls and I saw that I guess if you're not supporting the church you don't get his time.

Then a friend who I had looked up to never came to visit when I was injured, never sent a card, nothing. But she did that for all the people in her church and I saw that she was a respecter of persons. She and her husband are snooty.

Then I've been on a few other forums and the people are downright demonic. I saw that it's all a lie. Once in awhile you meet someone who is upright but many of the so-called "Christians" are total jerks or psychopaths. One guy got angry whenever I posted a thread and he would jump on immediately and attack me. My husband said he's got something wrong with him. It got so bad I had to threaten him with contacting the police because he was making me feel unsafe.

I'm just really disillusioned with christianity. It all seems like a lie.

We can only look to Christ has how to deal with people in the church. We can be part of a church and only follow when they are follow Christ. That said we tend to go to church to help with worship when in fact it is the other way round, we should go only to up lift the church up and pray for one another because we all have our faults. Galatians 6:2 (AV): Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Sometime he puts us in a church that needs our help not the other way around.

I know what Scripture says and I appreciate the verse. I seem to lack faith in that one area: that God will repay people for their evil. I just don't see it. God said "when the wicked are cut off you will see it." That isn't my experience. It's a discrepancy. Scripture says one thing and I experience another.

I thought that they must think all American women are loose, but then I realized it's their culture - they're allowed to do what they want to women and they brought their culture here. I can't bear atrocities. I'm an extremely sensitive person. I can't bear to hear of another's suffering and I can't bear to live with my own. I just can't understand what God is doing. So why did God make super sensitive and then put me/ us in a hellhole? And why on earth won't He stop it?
