Been wandering the these forum halls, scrolling comments. I read so much wisdom.

But…

I also see lots of quarreling, fussing back and forth. I see hypocrisy and arrogance running a muck.

I found myself allowing my own self righteousness rising, wanting to quote so many scriptures, showing my beloved brethen that we are being foolish together, that in this we are on one accord.

I even started posting songs, hoping and praying that I could penetrate through the ongoing contention, to bring back focus to Christ.

Guess what, in doing so. He humbled me. I came across this song…

I am not the Holy Spirit. Thanks be to His Holiness, I now surrender Lord to You. I will share this brief testimony of His amazing grace helping me see, once again…

I do not have all the answers, and I can not fix things, that is not my calling. Mine is to pray, leaving it at His feet.

Then, get busy cleaning my own thoughts while mopping my kitchen floor, or tending to some debri and clutter in my own mind, while working with my hands dusting the furniture.

Thank You Lord for showing up day in and day out, individually and as a whole.

He is moving... He is working...♡♡

Was just moving to our semi-annual Bible Reading Across Iowa and have included Psalm 91 as one of our shared scriptures to read. Always a favorite.
One of our most profound teachers used Psalm 91 to teach scriptural meditation, reading the scripture, then going to the Lord and asking for His revelation and then reading again and watching for His guidance as He enhances letters of the scripture to us, making them "pop out" to us as we read and then going back and asking His wisdom in the meaning of what He has indicated by His interaction.
Blessings

"Eat the meat, spit out the bones."

Most of the arguing is just a lot of wind. You can't stop the wind from blowing, you can't change the direction... best to just ignore it and get on with life. Arguing with contentious people just makes more noise.

Fortunately that doesn't get in the way of the good here on the forum, and there is some good to be had. The arguing can be distracting, but only if we let it.

the opinions of others can only effect us in one or two ways = our responses can only come
from our life's experiences if we are in the world or 'called out of the world =
if we are without God then a response will be totally 'carnal', without 'Godly Fruit', -
but, if God has called His-elect-chosen', then our responses are in agreement with
The Holy Spirit...

Thank you! You have a wonderful understanding of genuine faith, this speaks of being "carnal" or "sense ruled" to me, something we must leave behind, we come to Him as we are, but we must not stay there.

some people just need to air their views but it would take forever to respond to each and every one of them, but I like to think its just being part of a busy and thrivng community.

In a garden theres a lot of plants, though some peoples idea of a garden is to have a strip of grass and a yucca plant cos anything else is too 'messy' (or a zen garden where it's rocks and some raked gravel) so I think you can actually go a bit too extreme on the decluttering.

Marie Kondos idea was cute, but WHO really folds their clothes in tiny squares the instant they undress and puts them away neatly into drawers. Unless guests are coming over or a film crew for the worlds tidiest houses tv program...nobody I know does this.
