Have you ever pondered am I walking according to His will? Am I doing it right? I hear such confidence in others who are convinced they are doing it right, that the others are following the wrong gospel. They seem to have it all figured out, that they are right, that others do not understand; they believe others are deluded or have fallen.
This isn't another "they" or "them" post. No, I kinda admire their certainty. I am not always convinced of my direction. I am always searching for clarity and confirmation.
I was reading Psalms today, however, and I was hit smack dab in my knowing that when it comes to faith, when it comes to Him and His truth, as long as I am following Him, waiting on Him, trusting Him, without wavering, He will show me the way, because the "way" is Himself.
To be honest…
the many theological opinions, while fascinating and can be used to learn scripture, nothing and noone has Him all figured out. How could we? Otherwise, we'd probably stop seeking. He shares His character with us. He gives us enough to lean on. We can be convinced, over and over again, faith by faith, of His steadfast love and faithfulness. However, He also is clear that we are not Him, that the mystery of Him is a beautiful thing that He uses to draw us nearer.
It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out. Proverbs 25:2
Lord,
I stand in awe of You and You Majestic Holiness. I know Your power is beyond my comprehension. Yet, somehow You come to me, abide in me and in all who belong to You, that because of You and who You are, I can surrender myself and abide in You.
Wow...
Lord...
please know that though I yearn to touch You, to see You, I am content being as a child with You, not needing to have You all figured out.
Lord...
thank You for being the "Way", for guiding, and teaching, for igniting the flame of curiosity where You are concerned, but most of all, for Your keeping.
In Your sacred kingdom, in Your pastures of sanctuary, I rest.
