Well they are in different degrees personally it is the five point tulips I have the most concern about, there was a user on here but I think she either got banned or just hasn't returned for a long time by the username graceandtruth she was a five point tulip and I often would correct her on many things and when she would attack people I confronted her needless to say she did not like me but I still wanted to help her because while she may have her certain beliefs and we almost never agreed on any of them she lacked love in almost every way.

The four point tulips at least believed that God sent Jesus to die for all of us not for only some and everyone else can go to hell
But Calvinists are not in general ungodly people we can greatly disagree with each others views and beliefs but as I always say it is the heart that matters love is the one fruit to always look for so personally I don't really hold anyone's personal doctrines against them and yes I will argue my case of why I think they are wrong but I can't bring myself to make threads against them

To be honest the threads you are making about them isn't helping the church if anything it is only stirring the pot, I mean how many have said they were inspired or they saw the wisdom and love of God in your threads? Has anyone said you spoke to their hearts or that they by any means were enlightened by them?
Well i was warned by some that the most negative comments you would get when you discuss Calvinism, would be from the Arminians . I've definitely experienced the more personal attacks from them sadly .

You just need some confessional writings , a statement of faith, and catechisms.

No God saves by grace. Totally unmerited favor or pity that God has on men lost in sin and trespasses. This grace is received by faith but the faith required to receive is created by hearing Gods word.

God gives the light needed to see your need of salvation. It is Gods love for us that drives His mercy to draw us to Christ.

A person needs to hear the message in order to believe it.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14¶How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

I'm not saying anything about the character of Calvinists . I don't say anything about their behavior. Calvinism teaches no different to most denominations on how to behave . Its the teaching. When i didn't know any different i used to go to a calvinistic church . I've followed calvinist teachers for years unwittingly. ( Vodie baucham , James White ect ) It was because i got lazy . It was easier to get quick answers from sermons and websites, like Got questions, Carm ect rather than sitting down with my bible. Then i did just that . I started reading my bible again. Then i began to see the issues .

True but I fail to see how that refutes Calvinism.

Romans 1 shows that God uses the wonders of nature to reveal Himself to those who have not received His word.

Its Lanolinism, we keep it simple -

confessional writing: Lord I love You
statement of faith: Peter said Lord You Know I love You!

catechism....fill in the blank L.... I....L....Y......

what did Jesus ask Peter to do after going fishing?
Feed my ....

Yes I've followed John Piper , washer , Mcarthur, White , Sproul, Baucham, ect . I agree that you need to hear from the horses mouth . But ! You have to realise that those within any system are not going to be objective. You need to compare yourself ultimately. It does take listening to the critics and objections so that your not just in a echo chamber . You won't hear anything but recommendation for the tulip by John Piper who is captivated by it . So is this objective? Can only calvinists explain Calvinism? What if its true that Calvinism is Idolatry? What if its true that the system is false? Should we not challenge and should not our beliefs stand scrutiny?
this is the best dialogue you have provided on this topic. Hope you can continue in this manner.

Lol,

So on the one hand you say you don't say anything about the character of Calvinists (whatever you mean by that), then you progress to insinuate that Calvinists are lazy becaue they don't get their beliefs from scripture but from websites!

Yet, you have shown us that you get your views of Calvinism from anti - Calvinist youtube videos... And you said you weren't lazy?

Irony indeed.

Let's see what's at stake here . . The bible says the good news is that Jesus died for the sins of the world .
Calvinism says he died only for some .
This is not the same gospel .Wake up and smell the coffee folks .

So by saying this is not the same gospel you believe that Calvinist are anathema? (That's what Paul says about other gospels)

There is no Gospel in Calvinism. The 'good news 'is that Jesus died for the sins of the world.
