When I saw this thread, I was like oh boy, this could get interesting.

I will share my opinion on the subject matter.

Let me first say, I'm not a scientist, but a skeptic. I'm 100% sure the U.S. didn't land on the moon in the 60's-70's, but if I"m wrong, it's not a big deal. I just don't believe it now.

Van Allen Radiation belts. No way can moonwalkers pass through the Van Allen Radiation belts, especially with the limited shielding that was used on the Apollo missions. One Russian scientist said, it would take a two foot lead shield to protect people from passing through the belts.

I don't believe we had the technology to broadcast black and white television from the moon. Which is about 250,000 miles from earth.



Modern satelites are about 12,000 miles up, so NASA had technology back in the 60's to broadcast 250,000 miles away?!?! Doubt it. (Supposedly) The earth is moving at a 1,000 miles per hour, while the earth is moving 2,000 miles per hour, not to mention what is widely believed, that both the moon and earth are spinning pretty fast.



I don't believe it's even remotely possible to land on the moon with people aboard with the technology used back 50 years ago.

Whatever you believe about the moon landing, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. If NASA came out and said, the Moon Landings were faked to get an edge over the USSR, what would change?????

Many people have this strong following towards political parties and governments often turning on their friends and family in favour of the government... When people trust the government more than their neighbours it divides us...

Just look at covid, I'm now being berated and hated by people, even some of my friends...
Why? Just cos I choose not to get vaxed. Im suddenly immoral cos of that, seriously...
And this is cos people have soooo much trust in governments and media...

In the former Soviet Union people were afraid that their own family members would turn them into authorities for the most trivial things... We are almost there in the west...

It does help with objects in the dark but yes but that much... Cmon

Ye the flag-waving isn't a good argument. I've seen the whole sequence and the flag only moves cos they touched it, it stops and while they work away in the foreground that USA flag never moves

If you are talking about guys with romantic intentions who want to talk to her, I have no idea. But - speaking in general - I would be happy to talk to her. In fact, I have - in PM - been some time ago now. She seemed to be rather nice, best I remember.

That was a good find about China. I looked it up and China hasn't sent anyone to walk on the moon, except a moon lander (robot). That's believable, but it makes me wonder even more how tainted the whole space race was and is.

Russia will send a rover this year to look for water, no mention of sending people though.

The U.S. plans to lap Russia in the space race, by sending a woman on the moon in 2024. Russia was first in the space race on everything (well, it seems), except the man on the moon, but Russia still can't send a man there, and U.S. is sending the first woman in a couple of years. This isn't the least bit questionable?!?!
