Willfull Sin

Wait wait wait. Im confused I see something on will full sin. I did that a few months ago for a week continually and now I'm trying to get back is there hope? Im scared, help me what do i do. Please help me. Im 14 years old and I need help. I need HELP! Will I be forgiven, can the holy Spirit grow stronger in me?

Willful sin is sin done with a rebellious definat attitude towards God.. Where the person is actually proud of their sin and dismissive of Gods standards on the issue..


It seems to me that too many people think wilfull simply means want to sin.. People are tempted to sin every day.. But to love evil and be proud of the sin that's rare..

Everyone stumbles and gets lost in the weeds. The important thing is what the individual does afterwards. Are they repentful and get back on the right path or do they continue in the weeds with no sense of repentance. Jesus told the woman who was caught in adultery to go and sin no more. Humans will not reach sinless perfection until death. Our walk on Earth is a daily dying to self which involves daily temptations and daily training. This is our cross to carry.

Once saved if we remain in our walk with Christ, our sins past and future have been paid for. God called us to have faith in His Son and through grace we are saved. It doesn't mean we will not be hard headed children sometimes. God used those moments to teach, discipline or grow you through what you are going through. Maturity often comes out of immaturity. And we all start in immaturity. You may very well have to fight a specific sin on a daily basis. Or you may mature out of it but there will always be temptations. Best thing to practice is say no to temptation. And run away if necessary.

No, I was definitely that terrible. Let me just say it has been a rollercoaster of realizing how capable of evil I am and is still a struggle to figure out what to do and not to do. It's even worse because I grieved the Holy Spirit.... a lot....... and it's a struggle to fully hear and experience the leading like I did originally, especially with OCD and such. I wouldn't say I was too far because I still felt the need to go to confession after the week, but from that point on to now, I realize much more what's going on, the consequences, and how much more complicated I made my already complicated situation. Also, how evil sin is and how dangerous backsliding and willful sin are to the walk, but I'm trying to go at it day by day. I made a mess and a half and it seems like cleaning it up takes much more work than I thought. Thank you for the consideration and replying though!

Thank you for the words, their definitely comforting and something I needed to hear with lots of other things. I don't want to lie to you and say I'm completely out of the woods because I still have lots of issues still here in my life that are taking much more work,( and longer) to get rid of and figure out. I'm getting better at fighting off certain sins, but others seem way to strong, I sure hope I grow out of them or overpower them. I don't feel much like going back to certain things that had a stronghold on me so that's always a good thing, but we'll see how this phase pans out. (Hopefully for the better on to the best).

You do not need to ""Go to confession"" You need to talk to God direct and admit your wrong doing was wrong and thank Him for the Atonement He provided on the cross to win for you forgiveness for your wrong doing..

Yes sin is evil and we shall sin.. The key to salvation is to love what is Good and to hate what is evil. To believe Jesus and to Trust with confidence that He has paid the penalty for your transgressions..

If you never felt any regret for your sin then i would be worried for you.. But it is good that you understand how evil sin is.. Just understand the awesome forgiveness that our long suffering LORD Jesus has for those who love His WORD..

I didn't want to classify myself as anything because I'm a little confused of the belief systems on denominations and to be honest I'm just trying to learn more every day and growing spiritually stronger. If you are asking how I became a believer I see it was not an overnight thing (at least I don't think it was, I could be completely wrong) but a more gradual thing. A christian to me would be someone who stands on the word of God and truth and tries to make their life more pleasing to him with the allotted time they have and a servant to Christ. (Sorry if that sounded formal or text- booky :3)

What you listed here is some of the things a Christian DOES, they’re not what a Christian IS.

A Christian is someone who is a born again Child of God. He has been filled and sealed with The Holy Spirit unto the Day of redemption.
You cannot “grow spiritually stronger” until you are born again.

Have you been born again?

I honestly feel I am because the Holy Spirit was convicting me of things that believers go through and all the things about a desire for a lord I'm pretty sure I felt beforehand and I don't think I would be in this hardened state if I wasn't or at least felt all these things.

I'm sure the Holy Spirit is convicting you. He does that to the unsaved as well, to draw them to the Father.

NEVER rely on your "feelings". We can feel happy, sad. angry, compassionate...etc... Although good feelings can accompany Salvation, they are not necessarily proof of Salvation.


Feelings are TEMPORARY. TRUTH is Eternal! This is THE Gospel unto Salvation. There is NO other way in which men can be saved:

God wrapped Himself in human flesh in the form of His Son, Jesus the Messiah. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He suffered, was crucified, and died to pay OUR sin debt. He was raised to life from the grave to prove He had defeated death. If you confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that His Father resurrected Him to Life on the 3rd day, you WILL be saved. You will be filled, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will empower ALL to turn from their sins. The sin of adultery, lying, stealing, homosexuality, gossip, slander, drunkenness, covetousness, etc... And most importantly the sin of DEAD works, or a moral life in an attempt to EARN Salvation. He will also equip you to love like He did and do good works for HIS Glory.

One last thing. I went Catholic School. Most of my very large family remain Catholic. I'd greatly encourage you to find a different Church. Many heresies are taught and preached in the catholic church. Like the one you cited. Going to confession daily, weekly, monthly, whatever, to have some man absolve you of your sins, by telling you to recite 5 Hail Marys and 6 our Fathers.
You can confess DIRECTLY to Jesus. The veil has been torn. We need no priest. Too many other heresies to list now,
