Its not rhetorical, its HIM revealing that HE is GOD... Now I ask you, who is the Father of GOD?
Yes he is God. He was telling them that.
You fail to grasp the full meaning however, which nullifies your claims of having understanding of deep things.

I have not failed to grab the meaning. The reason why all of you want to say HE is the Son of David, is to match the Prophecies.
HE has no father, and the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary did not supply an egg for HIS body.

The reason she was called a virgin, is because she had not yet started menstruating at yet.

HE is GOD. HE incubated on her womb, and HE came out of her womb with the body that HE coupled for HIMSELF.

Neither the gene of a man, or woman built HIS body. Thus, how can anyone claim GOD has a geneaology?

Here is what David writes about the law:

Psalm 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

24: Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

50: This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

72: The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

77: Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

97: O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

103: How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

142: Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Do you think Paul disagrees with David?
My opinion on the matter is essentially irrelevant. Paul, by revelation from Jesus Himself, makes it clear that by faith in Christ, we are no longer under the tutelage of the Law.

From this I understand that you say that Paul tells us not to listen to the law, and David tells us to listen to the law so Paul opposes David. Is this a correct understanding of your interpretation?

No; it's a complete corruption of my interpretation.

I take it that jesus was not a jew then?

So the bloodline and the tribes mean nothing? Lets face it God wasted alot of time pinpointing his son.

The blood line and tribes were pointing to the nation of Israel, which is all the children of the kingdom. The 12 Sons of Jacob revealed the names of the 12 tribes, but they are not the real fathers of those tribes. IT means all the children of the kingdom are one family, and that there are the 12 patrarchs of the 12 tribes of Israel that fathered the children of of the kingdom.

And here is proof that it is not the sons of Jacob.

Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, which tribes will you put them in? The GOD sent their Spirit Being into the earth before Jacob had his 12 sons. Yet, in the kingdom, they are from a tribe. Which tribe are they from?

You my friend have no biblical knowledge, concept, nor foundation that has been displayed.
If you would like ...I am sure the saints here would gladly lead you to the truth. But only if your willing.
As of now I am sure that they will not entertain your ignorance.
I will pray the father that the Holy Spirit open your heart and eyes on these matters.
If you are sincerely searching for the truth I know the Lord will honor it.

Peace

I have no biblical knowledge, yet you cannot tell me who the fathers are that Elijah was Prophesied to turn the childrens heart to and why. It is you, that is literal to the core, that has not any level understanding in GOD's LOGOS.

Your prayer is in vain, and you are praying amiss. Search the scriptures, for in them you think you have life but they testify of this.
IF you are a child of the kingdom, when you reach Abrahams Bosom, you will understand better.

saint is a description of a child of the kingdom that died. I will not die, but transfigure in life alive without dying at all and waiting for resurrection.

Then you are not making yourself clear, would you please explain.
Respectfully, the issue is not on my end.

Christians are not under/subject to the Law as given through Moses. The Law is not our master. We do not have to abide by every ordinance to remain in good standing with God. Males do not have to be circumcised. Females do not need to hide themselves for 33 (or 66) days after childbirth. We do not need to wear fabric made from only one kind of thread, have the mould in our bathroom tile grout inspected by the priest, stone adulterers, bring the tenth of our agricultural produce to the Levites, or show up at the tabernacle for an assembly three times each year.

NOTHING WHATSOEVER in that paragraph even HINTS at "We do not need to listen to the Law" or "We can ignore the Law". NOTHING.

You are taking my words, "A - B - C" and claiming that I am saying, "X - Y - Z". You do this consistently, with everyone, and frankly, it's tiresome. It's very difficult to explain anything to you such that you will understand, because you warp and confuse the words you read.

The Law was given to ancient ISRAEL, not to the Church. It was part of a specific covenant made for a specific purpose with a specific people at a specific time in history. Christians are NOT party to that covenant. We are party to the new covenant in Christ's blood. We are under a DIFFERENT covenant.

Read the Old Testament in that light. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment so that you can understand which principles in the Law are good for Christians to follow (there are many). Ask Him to give you the necessary understanding so you can read the Law without thinking you need to obey its requirements.

God did not stop speaking at that verse. Keep reading .

You are I are in agreement, and you are twisting it to make it appear as something to fight over. What you list as laws not to follow are not the law of the Lord, they are helps given to Israel to help them follow the law.

I assure you, I am not twisting anything. I'm not the only person who has called you out on your beliefs or your behaviour.

The individual ordinances are not mere "helps". They are LAWS. If the Israelites contravened them, they faced serious consequences.
