Never given this any thought, but now I see why it’s called “Crocs”.

Ya. On the original kind (not the wanna be ones) on the hinge there is a little "button". It has the face of a crocodile on it. Picked up a pair last year is how I know. Didn't think they would be comfortable...I was wrong lol. I'm glad I could be both funny and educational 😄.

The sad thing is, though I'm fairly sure that's a joke, I can see it becoming true.

To me, that's what makes it funny, as so many things have followed suit lately. All the changes like Hasbro was going to do away with the Mr. potatoes Head and Mrs. Potatoe Head to a "gender neutral" one just called Potatoe Head, so as not to offend anybody. There was a bunch of backlash, so they reversed what they were going to do.
This was very recently...and there are so many more examples in the last 2 years alone.

Long live mr and mrs potatoe heads !

(side note on this story: the radio mentioned "Does that mean that Hasbro will change there name to, because it has Bro in the name which is not "gender neutral"? Lol)

Dr. Seuss's family & estate on their own decided to stop publishing a couple of his books. obscure, unpopular ones you've probably never even heard of. knowledge check: can you name them?

no coercion. no ban. no collection of copies to be burned.
just the people who actually own the book choosing for themselves to stop reprinting them.
and then a whole lot of propaganda on top of it designed to make you angry and vote republican because of the anger they manufactured.

Yeah? That's good to hear (the Dr. Seuss part that is) I'm thinking we need to try something different in voting. The Left and Right are getting old tbh.

Tuna have been shamed ever since someone realized that although you can tune a piano, you can't tuna fish.

Part of me wants to throw a piano at you for the old, bad joke, but part of me wants to congratulate you for very good timing.
