Getting ready to leave the state... tried to get a haircut yesterday but couldn't get an appointment...have to settle for Friday. Uggghhhh....oh well.

I don't think you need to apologize for that. You were just expressing your feelings. If you ever need a place to talk about how you feel, (whether good or bad) this is a nice place to do it. There are people who will listen. And I'll be one of them.

Hi Kim. I'm glad you found this thread. I tried to lure you here once by mentioning you in a post lol. Anyway, this is the only place that I hang out in CC anymore. I've been meaning to message you to tell you why I haven't participated in most of your threads. I found out not too long ago that I have a type of post-trauma syndrome similar to PTSD and decided that I will no longer join opinionated discussions in order to avoid being triggered. I still consider you a good friend of course. Hope you stay and enjoy our daily coffee and d

I'm so sorry that I must have missed your tag. I'm not here as much so I generally have to quick post things as I'm thinking of them or else they fly right out of my thoughts -- and into the great blue yonder.

I am so sorry to hear about your post trauma. I totally understand why you wouldn't want to post in any controversial threads, especially these days, when you could ask what kind of bread people like for their toast and it's still just as likely to erupt into a war zone. I hope you are doing better!

I would occasionally read along here but didn't want to interrupt some of the conversations... I love that the people here seem so warm and friendly (though sharing their coffee and/or donuts does seem optional.)

I'm sorry I'm so sporadic -- life just gets so busy and sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed, too.

Thanks Kim. It's actually something I've had most of my adult life but never knew that there was a label for it. I always just attributed it to feelings of depression but always wondered why it seemed to affect me in ways that other people don't seem to experience. But now I know what it is and now it all makes sense. Anyway, yes this thread is like an unofficial CC bed and breakfast. We are all like guests.

you know, I haven't heard those 2 stories since I was a kid....
I think I mixed them up A LOT, lol.

I thought the butter battle people ended up mixing up their bread like sneetches did stars......
and everyone realized that it wasn't the big deal they made it out to be......

So if you toss a piece of buttered bread off a a table and it always lands buttered-side down...

What side does a star-bellied sneech land on if you toss the poor little thing to the floor?

Will a star-bellied sneech land belly-side up?

And if so... if you take a star-bellied sneech and tie a piece of buttered-side bread to his back, so the star-belly is facing up on one side, and the butter is facing out on the other...

Which side is going to point up -- the star belly or the buttered-bread side -- if he should fall off the table?
