To glorify God and enjoy him forever....How?

I was reading through a catechism earlier and the Q & A is this:

Q. 1. What is the chief end of man?

A. Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever.


Now I'm not asking about a debate on catechisms for after all they are really just Q & A's (& statements) on the christian faith but rather, how do we glorify God and how do we enjoy him forever? Hopefully we can edify each other in answering?

It seems the only way would be to learn His way, His will, and do it. Now, I know I am far from this goal, but I do trudge on. Always I need the prayers of the saints for my quest. God bless all.

Matthew chapter 5

[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
[15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

I think this is the answer. We have a great secular world swirling all around us demanding attention, but as a joyful Christian it is not this world we live in, it the world that Christ makes for us as we listen to Him, not the demanding secular world.

TV, the news, the social demands or the secular world becomes secondary as we follow the Lord.
