Hello fellow Christians. I have a question that I hope some of you can provide insight on, when it comes to the mark of the beast it is said to be on the RIGHT HAND or on the forehead.

Assuming we are dealing with a literal mark here, such as an RFID chip or something similar, what happens if someone takes it on their left hand? Does he/she just get a pass? I would assume no.

But why in particular is the right hand mentioned? Is there some technology that requires it to be on the right hand, or what? Anyone who knows? @Ahwatukee I would like to hear your view on this.

The right hand is considered the Hand of Fellowship?:unsure:

Galatians 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we [should go] unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

I have heard of this too, meaning the mark would be symbolic. It talks about selling and buying, both of which are activities you cannot do with a symbolic mark.

and buying & selling is like Satan's sin --

By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned; therefore I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you, o covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones.
(Ezekiel 28:16)
i've wondered if it necessarily means engaging in commerce, like we think of - is this really just about going to a store and trading money for some items? because i don't think Ezekiel 28 here is about Satan going down to the dollar general and buying a bag of chips, or selling some used angel stuff on ebay. :unsure:

So what do you think the mark is?
Not everyone believes the mark of the beast on the hand and forehead are literal devices or marks such as computer chips, vaccines, implants, bank cards, or anything similar, and there are Scriptural reasons to believe they are not... much in the same way we would not accept that just because people were trying to build the tower of Babel meant we think they could have actually reached God that way, through their human means and/or effort, or that the laws written on our hearts are literally etched/chiseled there.

The forehead very much represents a person's thinking and beliefs, out of which arise
the actions anyone takes and the things we do and what we serve with our hands.

Revelation 14:1 says, Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion,
and with him 144, 000 who had His name and His Father's name written on their foreheads.

Revelation 22:4 says: They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.

I believe the mark is meant to be symbolic of to Whom we have pledged our allegiance.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as
reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

Deuteronomy 11:18

Deuteronomy 6:5-8 ~ Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

Hebrews 10:16 ~ “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days,
declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.”

I have heard of these and they all make good sense until we run to the part of the verse that states no man can buy nor sell unless they have the mark.

Keeping God's commandments does not prevent anyone from buying or selling. No one can even tell if you are a Christian when you walk into a store.

On another note - you see the conditioning now with the one eye sign, 666 hand gesture (doesn't mean rock on!) as the pope has done many times, placing over the eye as seen in every magazine, from fashion mags to popular mechanics and Time. To movie rentals on Amazon being $6.66 to rent - these are all conditioning methods for people to unconsciously select these things as basics of every day life.

The forehead represents the mind (Hebrews 10:16).

A person will be marked in the forehead by a decision they make.
For this reason it is not a physical mark or micro chip. People can physically remove or change physical things but a choice is made in the mind and God knows the heart. Choice is made in the forehead, we decide who we will serve in the mind.

The hand is a symbol of works (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

A person will be marked in the hand by the works they choose to do.
The sign, or mark, for either God or the beast will be invisible to people. You will, in essence, mark yourself by accepting either God’s mark—or the beast’s mark. The actions reflect our choice, faith with out works is dead, the fruits show what type of tree we are.

Though invisible to men, God will know who has which mark.

2 Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Keeping God's commandments does not prevent anyone from buying or selling. No one can even tell if you are a Christian when you walk into a store.
What about the Sabbath commandment......?
If you break one you are guilty of all.

Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

The day that man (the catholic Church) commands that we obey is Sunday, and the day that God commands that we keep holy is the Sabbath.

Can you see how buying and selling can become part of it.

You said "Keeping God's commandments does not prevent anyone from buying or selling." The 4th commandment tells us not to buy or sell on the 7th day, the Catholic church and most of the world are asking us not to buy or sell on the first day.

In order to know what the mark of the beast is, we must first identify the beast. How does the Bible describe it?

Revelation 13
A. It rises from the sea (verse 1). = The sea (or water) in prophecy refers to people or a populated area (Revelation 17:15). So the beast—antichrist—would arise amid the established nations of the then known world.

B. It is the composite of the four beasts in Daniel chapter 7 (verse 2). = Babylon was the Lion-like beast (vs. 4), "Mouth of a lion" (vs. 2). Medo-Persia was the Bear-like beast (vs. 5) "Feet of a bear" (vs. 2). Greece was the Leopard-like beast (vs. 6) "Like unto a leopard" (vs. 2). Rome was the Ten-horned beast (vs. 7) "Having ... ten horns" (vs. 1).
The four beasts of Daniel 7 are depicted as part of Antichrist, or the beast,

C. The dragon gives it power and authority (verse 2). = The pure woman in Rev 12 is portrayed as pregnant and about to deliver. The dragon crouches nearby, hoping to "devour" the baby at birth. However, when the baby is born He evades the dragon, fulfills His mission, and then ascends to heaven. Obviously the baby is Jesus, whom Herod tried to destroy by killing all the babies in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:16). So the dragon represents pagan Rome, of which Herod was a king. The power behind Herod's plot was, of course, the devil (Revelation 12:7-9). Satan acts through various governments to accomplish his ugly work in this case, pagan Rome.

D. It receives a deadly wound (verse 3). = A wound or deadly blow will come to the beast..... ?

E. Its deadly wound is healed (verse 3). = The beast will recover.... ?

F. It is a strong political power (verses 3, 7). = "and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

G. It is a strong religious power (verses 3, 8). = "all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life"

H. It is guilty of blasphemy (verses 1, 5, 6). = This power will claim what is only Gods to claim.

I. It wars with and overcomes the saints (verse 7). = "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:"

J. It rules for 42 months (verse 5). = a day is year in prophesy, so 30 days x 42 = 1260 days - or 1260 years

K. It has a mysterious number—666 (verse 18). = six hundred and sixty, six. "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

It is simply another name for the “antichrist,” which is in Daniel 7. Prophecies in the books of Daniel and Revelation are often presented multiple times, with details added each time to encourage accurate interpretation.

Which power today can claim all of the identifying marks above. Don't push it into the future because you will be fooled by the beast to miss the chance of identifying him.

In the next post i'll show a power that perfectly fits every point from a to k above.. it must be

It must be Papal Rome. All of us need salvation so it is not an attack at the people but at the system that fits the identifying marks above.

A. The sea (or water) in prophecy refers to people or a populated area (Revelation 17:15). The Papacy did arise amid the established nations of the then known world. The papacy arose in Western Europe, so it fits this point.

B. It is the composite of the four beasts in Daniel chapter 7 (verse 2). = Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. The four beasts of Daniel 7 are depicted as part of Antichrist, or the beast, because the papacy incorporated pagan beliefs and practices from all four empires. She clothed them in spiritual garb and spread them to the world as Christian teachings. Here is one of many supporting statements from history: "In a certain respect, she [the papacy] has copied her organization from that of the Roman Empire, has preserved and made fruitful the philosophical intuitions of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, borrowed from both Barbarians and the Byzantine Roman Empire, but always remains herself, thoroughly digesting all elements drawn from external sources." This point definitely fits the papacy.

C. The dragon gives it power and authority (verse 2). = If the dragon represents pagan Rome, and Satan, i'll quote just two supportive references from history, though there are many: (1) "The Roman Church ... pushed itself into the place of the Roman World-Empire, of which it is the actual continuation. ...The Pope ... is Caesar's successor." (2) "The mighty Catholic Church was little more than the Roman Empire baptised. Rome was transformed as well as converted. The very capital of the old Empire became the capital of the Christian Empire. The office of Pontifex Maximus was continued in that of Pope." So this point also fits the papacy. She received her capital city and power from pagan Rome.

D. It receives a deadly wound (verse 3). = A wound or deadly blow will come to the beast..... ? The deadly wound was inflicted when Napoleon's general, Alexander Berthier, entered Rome and took Pope Pius VI captive in February of 1798. Napoleon decreed that at the death of the pope, the papacy would be discontinued. The pope died in France in August of 1799. "Half Europe thought ... that without the Pope the Papacy was dead." 4 So this point also fits the papacy.

E. Its deadly wound is healed (verse 3). = The beast will recover.... ? Since its healing, the strength of the papacy has grown. Today she is one of the most powerful religious-political organizations and influence centers in the world.

F. It is a strong political power (verses 3, 7). = "and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." = An American ambassador has said the Vatican is unmatched as a “listening post.” Papal structure is already prepared for worldwide control.

G. It is a strong religious power (verses 3, 8). = "all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life" Is the catholic church a strong religious church in the world? more people claim to be catholic then any other religion.

H. It is guilty of blasphemy (verses 1, 5, 6). = The papacy is guilty of blasphemy because her priests claim to forgive sins and her popes claim to be Christ.

I. It wars with and overcomes the saints (verse 7). = It was called the dark ages for a reason. The papacy did persecute and destroy millions of saints during the Dark Ages.

J. It rules for 42 months (verse 5). = 1260 years, The papacy reigned for 42 prophetic months, from A.D. 538-1798. It isn't a made up number, history clearly tells that they gained power in 538ad and lost power in 1798ad. = 1260 years

K. It has a mysterious number—666 (verse 18). = six hundred and sixty, six. "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
What man do you think of when you think of the papacy? Naturally, we think of the pope. What is his official name? Here is a Catholic quote: “The title of the pope of Rome is Vicarius Filii Dei” (English: “Vicar of the Son of God”). Malachi Martin, in The Keys of This Blood, uses the same title for the pope on page 114. A footnote for Revelation 13:18 in some Douay versions of the Bible says, “The numeral letters of his name shall make up this number.”

V = 5 F = 0 D = 500
i = 1 i = 1 e = 0
c = 100 l = 50 i = 1
a = 0 i = 1
r = 0 i = 1
i = 1
u = 5
s = 0

=666

The papacy fits all 11 identifying points.... what is her mark of authority...... ?

But why in particular is the right hand mentioned?
God has made most people right-handed, so the mark on the right hand symbolizes a commitment to work for the Antichrist. People may think they are working for themselves, whereas they will be working for the Antichrist, who has full control of their lives.

i learned some interesting things yesterday, from a video that happens to have just been made last week..

it was common practice in the Roman world to tattoo a soldier's right hand -- easily marking him as a deserter if he ran away.
it was also common practice both in the Greek & Roman culture to tattoo a description of the crime on a criminal's forehead.
it was also common practice to tattoo slaves or captured prisoners of war, either on the forehead or the hand, or perhaps both.

tattoos were not used as decoration in that society & culture as they are in ours.
they marked criminals, slaves, prisoners or members of the Roman army.
