Hi everyone,
I was sitting in a car,
and on the highway I think there’s a $1000 fee if you throw trash on the highway,
and some of the windows were rolled down and what appeared to be a piece of paper (maybe paper towel) flew out.
I don’t know where it ended up,
but what do you guys think I should do?

In case this affects your answer, I’m currently a minor with non-Christian parents.

yeah, that can be tough to have the windows down with small ,loose papers in the car........
it's one of my biggest reasons for not letting my kids have the windows down.... because they have so many papers all over it.
Twistii, if it wasn't your car that you drive and is registered in your name then it's not your responsibility.
But if situations like this really bother you then perhaps considering finding and joining a group that does "Adopt-A-Highway" where the people of the group volunteer (usually once a month) to clean up the sides of the "adopted" highway.
This can be fun and rewarding.

Here's what I do. Everywhere you go, just get in the habit of trying to leave it a little nicer than how you found it. That means when you're taking a walk, and you see trash on the ground, pick up at least some of it and throw it away. I don't turn my walks into giant trash collection events, but just pick up a little trash here and there.

It's probably biodegradable so I wouldn't sweat it. The thing is, you didn't actually throw the piece of paper out of the car but rather it just sort of flew away. Worse case, if you were the passenger you would be off the hook and the driver would be liable. Regardless, keep in mind that you have the right to remain silent but anything you say can, and will be used against you in a court of law. I don't think that you have the right to an attorney though unless you were the driver.

Hi surfer14,
I haven’t seen the video, but maybe I’ll check it out some time on or after May 10th or even after May 16th maybe.
Anyway, my mother doesn’t like me picking up trash off the ground, so I’m not sure I can do that.
