I realize there were other bizarre manifestations of the "spirit" in the First and Second Great Awakenings, but they weren't sustained. what happens when the gifts are in operation? What must be done to verify the gift is real?


The gift of the Holy Spirit must do some very clear things according to the word of God found in 1cor chapter 12-14

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:


the Gifts of the Holy Spirit must be:

1. to bring unity to the body verse 12 chapter 12
2. to appoint those to help the Body /spiritual gifts And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. verse 28 chapter 12

You have not told anyone. During church service, a person in a church says God has placed you on my heart and I have been praying for you and I believe God told me you were seeking him on helping the ministry here the special one we are looking to start up.
