I wasn't aware that there are any True Apostles (today). Are there? If there are, I'd like to meet them . . . Immediately if not sooner.

The same way it was then: "The distinguishing marks of a true apostle were performed among you with all perseverance, by signs, wonders, and miracles" (2 Corinthians 12:12).

By what they do. Apostles are called missionaries today, presumably because "apostle" is too emotive a word. Missionary is simply the Latin word translated Apostle in the English Bible.

Apostles are church founders and builders. One of the most effective was Watchman Nee, who founded thousands of churches in China, in the period before Communism. He structured them as non denominational and home based. He advised no more than 30 in a fellowship. He taught and preached and I believe him to be the most godly servant of the 20th century. I don't believe than anyone in the 21st century can match him either. I know of one man that was as close to God. He passed away about 10 years ago.

The church in China flourished in spite of intense persecution. Some Chinese Christians will say it was because of the persecution. For sure they do not have the complacency that the Western world is prone to. Watchman Nee heard from God and obeyed. The hidden nature of China's Christians enabled them to thrive.

I know of one man that was as close to God. He passed away about 10 years ago. I knew him since 1983 and he was a great help to me.

Can you imagine a person saying anything greater than this (about your person . . . your character)?

"persecution"
It's just some home church that doesn't have a registration, and it's going to happen.
It may be possible to avoid banning the home church, but only through registration

One thought that comes to mind is the authority that the Apostle Paul had been given.

2 Corinthians 13:10 NKJV - "Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction."

I know of no man that has been given any authority over me, as a Christian. None. To date, I know of no Christian whom I would follow, or try to emulate. None.

In my opinion, I'd say that John MacArthur is the most impressive person I'm aware of today who proclaims Christ. And while I admire [most] of his teachings, he has absolutely nothing over me. Paul, however, that man could have told me to do absolutely anything and I would have done it. Doing what Paul tells us to do is very close to obeying God Himself. I respect his incredible relationship with Christ . . . a Powerful relationship that began on the Damascus Road. That man . . . I would lay down my life if he told me to do so, but I would not have done that for Peter (the alleged "rock").

Watchman Nee.
- He has some spiritual insight..on certain issues.
---
His view/belief is close to 'Brethren theology.'
- Possible..influenced by it.
---
"..him to be the most godly servant of the 20th century."
- I do not agree..

Is not being persecuted a good sign? Anybody can be a Catholic or an Anglican without fear of persecution in England

But you cannot be a bible believing christian without being persecuted. Christians who believe in the bible are hated more than child sex offenders.

The 3 face church in China is a government church, as the Anglican church is a government church.

The house church in China is the true church.

This has to be the oddest statement I’ve read on here. Nothing Peter ever did was worse than the Christian killing Paul did. Nothing. Peter actually knew Christ and was respected by Christ so much he gave Peter the keys to heaven. When Paul wanted to be reconciled with the apostles in Jerusalem, it was Peter he sought out. You have a very twisted view of one of these holy people. The day you are martyred upside down on a cross come talk to me.

Is it true that the government forbids 'Three Self' churches from teaching on certain topics like healing and the end times?

You know "three self" church. We are not only "three self " church
I knew two group use same church.

I do not support teaching the end times.
Jesus is the First and the Last .
First , the word of god became flesh,Jesus Christ was born,Atone for our sin and save the world
The second coming became last day, rember last day/time is the First, the word of god became flesh,Jesus Christ was born,Atone for our sin and save the world.
The second coming is still for save us,It has nothing to do with sin, only for life.
Jesus is the First (day)and the Last (day) .

They can preach the healing ,but I think the "healing" about only "sick" need a doctor,Not physically, but Spiritual

One brother I corresponded with said that he believed the Lord spoke to him that he was to be an apostle. But he believed if the Lord wanted Him in that ministry, he would confirm it through the church. He received a prophecy about this in church, and they commissioned him with the laying on of hands. He then went out and planted about 18 churches in the US before going abroad to work in a 'church planting coach' type ministry coaching church planters who ministered in the 1040 window to people from a certain monotheistic background who can be rather culturally resistant to the Gospel.

He had read Acts 13 where the Spirit spoke to prophets and teachers, and they laid hands on two men and separated them to the work of the ministry. The men left, being sent by the Spirit, and the book later refers to them as 'apostles.'
