I read this book by Dinesh D'Souza wherein the author sys that a Willy Kauai of the U of Hawaii gave a talk on why the Birthers were right even if O was born in H

"That's because the Constitution specifies not only that the president must a US citizen but also that the president must be "natural born.' The president, in other words, must born in the United States. But"... Hawaii is not legally part of the United States becasue US forces illegally annexed Hawaii in the late nineteenth century. So from Kauai's point of view the birthers are right... [since] Hawaii... is actually a foreign country. the only difference between Hawaii and Kenya is that Hawaii is under direct US occupation."

D' Souza asked about seceding since that seemed to be what this Kauai wanted but K said No... K said that

"Seceding would imply that Hawaii was ever part of the United states."

Well, that was interesting. I have heard that Hawaii didn't really want to be another state.. but other than that, I can't say I know much about Hawaii... just nice to know others don't think O was eligible to be president either..

Although I despised by far the majority of President Obama's policies, the whole birther movement (IMO) was rooted in a bunch of conspiracy theorists that had more axe to grind than knowledge of the Constitution and immigration law.

The Constitution requires that the President be a "Natural born citizen" but does not define what "natural born" means. US Immigration law does define "natural born". A person is considered a "natural born" citizen if;

A) They are born on US soil which includes all 50 states (of which Hawaii is one) and all US territories which includes Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Prior to statehood being granted, Hawaii was a US territory.

B) They are born on foreign soil to a US citizen.

Barack Obama, even if his Hawaii birth was a fraud, was still a US citizen by nature of the fact that his mother was a US citizen.

As far as the "illegal annexation" of Hawaii by military force, you could consider most of the continental US as falling into that category since most of the mid-west and west was gained by conquest over the Native American tribes.

I think the people that believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii had a point and it was basically ignored. I don't think he was because his birth certificate says "African American" and that phrase did not come into popular usage till the late 70s, early 80s.

As an interested observer of the USA, I wonder why this debate continues. Obama was President for 8 years. Nothing can change that. Are there not more important issues to consider now? The authorities that matter considered him eligible. You may not agree, but it is what it is.

The reason this is important is

more than one thing

for one I believe vast voter fraud has been around longer than just 2020. I believe O won unlawfully, just like his vp did. No, I have no evidence... been a long time, ya know.. all evidence, if there was any, has been destroyed.. but even if he won legitimately

there is this:

He deliberately tried to destroy America to usher in socialism... or his version of it. He wanted the US to be like a 3rd world country..

well, in San Francisco and Portland, OR... looks like he succeeded... all the homeless people living in tents on the street.

gee.... I wonder why Obama isn't living like that? seems a bit hypocritical, eh?

money for me, but not for thee

prosperity for me but not for thee

don't like capitalism for thee but for me, it's just GREAT!
