I have just found this subsection and thought I might introduce myself :)

I am from the UK and I became a Christian in 2018.
My faith is something I struggle with because I have had several experiences that have really put me off or tested me: from uncovering fraud at a Church I used to attend, to falling out with 'friends' back when I was at university because their attempts to convert me didn't work.

On the other hand positive things have happened such as God showing me the way through clinical depression.

I'll probably ask questions or say things that might challenge you in one way or another, but challenge is healthy and I mean no harm by it (y)

Sorry that you've gone through depression too.
It's horrible isn't it, thinking that there is no point to living. I'm through it now, thankfully, but I've been left with mild hypoxic brain injury after trying to end my life. As I said, I'm over it now :)
If you ever feel like a private chat, I'm here.

Welcome, there is nothing God cannot heal, and it is His desire to heal and restore all.
There is plenty of his healing for all of us, appropriating it is the problem and that problem is NOT on His end.

Nice to meet you and so glad to have you joining the fellowship here at CC:) I thank God for you and that you overcame depression. I understand it's a griping mindset and staying connected with real Christians and doing volunteer work helps. Hope to see you around the Forums, God bless and keep you!

Just remember that Jesus is a friend who loves you like no other can. The modern "Church" is far from what the Lord originally intended it be. Try to cast all your cares upon Him. Let God be God. Welcome to CC.:):coffee:

thinking that there is no point to living.
... reminds me of something Paul said...

1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

In our Father's House are many Mansions!:) PTL!
