Clearly, you have no idea what I am saying. I did not compare faith to a battery; I used two examples of things which have power but are not power. The issue is the phraseology, not a comparison.

The word is "seriously". Why is your spelling so bad, especially when I already provided you with the correct spelling? Hebrews 11:1 specifically defines faith. It's not "cherry picking" to select such a verse.

None of which supports your assertion that faith is power.

How is that relevant to anything we're discussing?

No, we don't. Faith is defined clearly and concisely for us.

You have missed the point of the Bible... seriously.

Are you suggesting that I have cursed the law or works?

That is not what the verse says. It says, "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has given you." What that means is, if you have great faith, then think of yourself as having great faith. If you have little faith, then think of yourself as having little faith. In context, it means that we all have value, not that we are all equal in faith.

Again, this is not what it says. It says that faith without works is dead.

Wow... you butchered that one. It says, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"; it does not say anything like what you claim.

Nope. Faith is not defined in John 3:15 at all.

Wrong again. The concept of "must" is not there. It says that those who "do" endure to the end will be saved... and this is spoken within a very specific prophetic context that must be properly understood for verse 13 to be parsed correctly.

You like adding words to Scripture don't you? I really hope you aren't a preacher; you have no business trying to teach the word of God to others. This verse does not say that "prayer increases our faith" at all. It is a plea to Jesus that the disciples' faith would be increased. In context, it means that they recognized they did not have the faith required to forgive others as Jesus taught.

Wow... more invention. Jesus is saying here that even a little faith can be very effective. There is nothing in the verse about increasing faith at all. Given the previous few verses, Jesus is essentially saying, "Work with the faith you have; you might be surprised what you can accomplish."

Wrong again. There is nothing about "increasing" faith in that verse.

You're close on this one... I'll give you the point. That's 1 out of 9.

Maybe you should spend less time making "laws" out of Scripture and start looking for general principles. I would highly recommend a book on Bible study methods called Living by the Book by Howard Hendricks and William Hendricks.
The holy laws of Jesus is for obediance and for honor and much much more. The holy law also helps his believers to overcome demons. which i have overcome for many years. Whether you think im qualified to preach the law is not relevant to me. Because i love to talk about the law and the strenght of the law, and the holy law.

I said a prayer in the hope we can talk about the law in love and remain friends.
secondly i know 100 percent that demons reject the law because demons know that the law can lead a person to have much more obedience and become stronger in faith and help the believer to overcome evil.

God loves obedience and God loves his laws to be obeyed. God came down from heaven as Jesus and preached his law. Jesus then told his deciples to go and preach his gospel to the four corners of the world. Within the Gospel there is 1050 commandments of his law.

God loves Obedience it helps his believers to stand upright in rightousness to stand tall and overcome demons. There is holy law on training the eyes of the heart which is mostly needed to growing in faith,

Lastly i dont agree with anything youve wrote here in yet another attempt to assainate my character with conspiracy. Youve cherry picked everything ive wrote and found fault where there isnt any. Jesus christ clearly speaks about the law of love, He loves it when two people come to an agreement in his law, But sadly i think me and you will never come to one because i have given you many chances.

I will not be discouraged for repeating The laws of our mesiah by you or anyone.

It depends on how you see. i suppose. but i tend not to lean on my understanding. Because i can not judge a persons heart or there insentive to do Good.
If i was to Judge everybodys incentive i wouldnt being fare to people.

If somebody sudenly just started doing good works for the sake of Jesus, there is no way i could tell if he had just been saved. The only answer i could give you is a person can be saved in silent prayer one day and start doing Good works For Jesus the next, i wouldnt know if they where saved But Jesus would.

All tho judging from the op of this thread i would say that if a person does good work in jesus name, for the glory of his kingdom, then theres highly good chance there saved.
What does In JESUS name mean?

John 4:24
King James Version
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

How does a person do works In JESUS name and In truth

The person has to sincerely repent and be born again.

I am responding to the quotes about eternal life...

I may or may not have quoted the wrong message
No worries; we all do that occasionally. :)

Our relationship with God in Jesus Christ is not one of "law". I do hope you come to understand that.

secondly i know 100 percent that demons reject the law because demons know that the law can lead a person to have much more obedience and become stronger in faith and help the believer to overcome evil.
Relevance? Do you think that any disagreement with your assertions is evidence that demons are at work?

God loves obedience and God loves his laws to be obeyed. God came down from heaven as Jesus and preached his law. Jesus then told his deciples to go and preach his gospel to the four corners of the world. Within the Gospel there is 1050 commandments of his law.
Again, the gospel is not "law."

Now you're whining; man up.

I have done nothing to assassinate your character; any damage to your character has been by your own hand. I merely point out where your assessment of Scripture is inconsistent with what the Scripture actually says. If you can't handle that, and think it is "character assassination", your skin is far too thin.

You're misusing the word "conspiracy". Here's a dictionary definition: "a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful." (source: Oxford). If I were privately communicating with others here about you, seeking to do you harm, you could rightly claim that I am attempting to do something "with conspiracy". I'm not. End of issue.

Youve cherry picked everything ive wrote
I have addressed specific things you have written with specific responses. That is not cherry-picking either. If you write it, it is subject to response; that's the nature of a discussion board. I am under no obligation whatsoever to ignore parts of your posts, nor under any obligation to respond to your posts as a whole. If I see that something you write is wrong, I will right it. ;)

and found fault where there isnt any.
Just because you don't understand the correction I offer, or don't understand how you are wrong, does not mean that your posts are without fault. Your spelling alone is highly faulty, but that's a side issue.

Jesus christ clearly speaks about the law of love, He loves it when two people come to an agreement in his law, But sadly i think me and you will never come to one because i have given you many chances.
You said a prayer that we could be friends, but you don't think it will happen. Where is your faith? Where is your forgiveness? Do you think that I should just accept your misunderstanding of Scripture in order to be friends with you? How about you accept my understanding of Scripture, and then we can be friends.

It doesn't work, does it? Have a look at Amos 3:3.

I will not be discouraged for repeating The laws of our mesiah by you or anyone.
Um... okay. You do you.

However, I will not be discouraged from bringing correction where you post error. ;)

What does it mean to walk in Uninon with chirst is it to do his work in his name for his glory for his kingdom.

What else can you say about walking in union in christ, well one thing is praising each other and encouraging each other, theese are our heavens holy laws of love brother,
Why would they be holy laws, ? well feeling confident in ourselfs is vital to our mental and overall health, when ge give confidence to others we can enjoy the reward of joy we see just as much as when we recieve confidence for our self,

You could call a holy law of love as love others as you expect to be loved your self, or the greatest law i give you that you love one another as a holy law, where we walk in union with the confidence of our lord and saviour. there is no curse of the law when you walk in union in christ. As we walk in union with christ we can talk about all his wonderful laws that lead to many great rewards,

Jesus was asked by people when did we cloth you Jesus, And Jesus said what ever you do for one of my little ones you do for me. Jesus said that even when you Give one of my little ones a glass of water you do it for me. We walk in union this way with christ and in his name do we do theese works, in union

What are the commandments?

Love the lord your God with everything you are, and love your neighbor as yourself

1 John 4:7-21 conveys what is intended by Love
Again this is a great scripture, and a great commandment. 1 John 4:7-21 are the holy laws of love. we see in 1 John 4:7-21 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, even the laws of love come with judgement.

like one who fears is not made perfect in love in 1 John 4:7-21 or God is love. Who ever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment.

living in fear of judgment can lead to not having any rest where love doesnt flow effortlessy, a person becomes so afraid to even love.

Hebrews 4:9-10 there remains then, a sabbath rest for the people of God, for anyone who enters Gods rest also rests from his works, Just as God did from his.

It has been said in many times in teaching and preaching on how to successfully live the christian life and please God could actually be encapsulated in a simple two word exhortation.

Try harder ,
You keep stumbling over the same sin or habbit ? try harder.
Struggling to love unlovely and obnoxious people ? try harder
Failing time and again to rise an hour early for prayer and bible reading ? try harder.
Not giving enough ? not serving enough or witnessing enough or attending church services enough, you know the prescription, Bear down, double up. Lather, rinse, repeat, in an endless, frustrating, shame soaaked cycle of defeat and failure that robs you of your confidence befor God and keeps you feeling like the only christian in the world who isnt properly, doing all the things.

None of that sounds very restful, does it ? yet, as our key verse reminds us rest is precisely what where called to do in Jesus.
Particularly rest from striving and straining to earn Gods approval.
The fact is God sent Jesus so we could become restful human beings,
I have tried the try harder approach it doesnt work, when i live in rest witnessing peace joy, confidence just flow effortlessly. I think when you become absoluetly secure in Gods love and acceptance, you become unoffendable and naturally capable of more patience and grace you thought possible.

Mathew 19:28

The law of many laws
Jesus said that anyone who does good works in my name will inherit eternal life.

Good works 1
Mathew 19:28 Jesus says in this verse anyone who does good works in my name will inherit eternal life.

28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Good works 2
Jesus said those who obey my commandments will have eternal life

mathew 16:17
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”
17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

Good works 3

Matthew 24:13
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
I noticed you didn't ever mention accepting the Father's grace thru faith in Jesus Christ, nor did I see anything about conviction of sin, repentance, etc.
This makes your opening statement look like works salvation. While I believe that's not what you intended, you must understand that this site deals with these issues constantly.
I would recommend you mention these important truths while mentioning the importance of proving faith with works. Otherwise you will be judged accordingly.

I didn't see your intentions myself until I read all of your posts. I would have came to the same conclusions as Dino if you hadn't posted the rest.

In the future, please use wisdom to post your threads. The last thing we want is to have your good to be evil spoken of. :)

Romans 14:16
English Standard Version
So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil.
The responsibility for not allowing this to happen is ours.
