Sure it does but for one to say the bread and wine a necessary to have communion with the Lord or it's not a proper communion is false.
Jesus was giving a history lesson and revealing the mystery behind the bread and wine.
All scripture points to the christ.
When you eat and drink......fellowship of the saints.....family function... celebrations....feast days ...sabbaths.
If you study the feast days and the appointed times with jesus as the center of them they will reveal a lot and your understanding will become more clear.

I find it very hard to suggest the person said it was necessary but that he did quote what Jesus said as to AS often as you eat and drink you do show remembrance and " Do this in remembrance of me". I see where he said all things point to Christ as the question was " what do you see? But thanks for your input

[Psalms 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness].
Wow, this man came with a Purpose from God right off the back. He set the [tone] going forward. David, would have been in complete joy for all eternity sitting at the Door to the personal House of God being a doorkeeper. David longed for His Eternity to be with God. He just wanted inside on the same premise that His Lord and Maker dwelt. He didn't care if it was the lowest position in all of Heaven, he just wanted to be there. That was good enough for him!
Wow, that's how you begin a Church Service, for anyone familiar with David here in Psalm 84.
I have often thought if I made it to heaven, what would i be and would i be wanting better.
I always chose the one picking up the apples from trees.
As long as it's in Heaven, that is way more than I deserve!

The outside observation does enact the the world's reflecting what sons of man are believing by what they see, smell, and read with secular history that's Devine history for waking up the man actually being a son of God before coming down into this world of death but only a play. that is very impossible under the sun.
We are living in a world that is like a play and some, seem from birth to be cast in a difficult role, and yet you tell him that God is Infinite Love. But he is the playwright and the casting director, for this is a play. As Shakespeare says –
