Severing a relationship isn’t unforgiveness necessarily maybe the term we are thinking of differently

it’s a good think to cut ties sometimes , it’s the unforgiveness in the heart that is cancerous for the soul you don’t even have to talk to the guy , that was my point pray to God and forgive him was what I was saying . Not to reconcile a bad relationship at all but to keep your own self in line with Christ that’s when he moves for us in situations

Anyways
I talked to the guy in person three days ago, no problem in treating him like a person. Just not a relative anymore. He needs help, and I care about the woman who loves him. And if I kept relatives, I would have to talk to him, intertwined by family, so not doing that. Going to the movies with his girlfriend, that is a woman who loves him, that he says is to big. Which is in a terrible situation, loving somebody that will never love them back. That he use, so I will talk to her instead, if she wants to.- She does not use drugs, apart from the occational spliff, because of peerpressure. And, I might have gotten you wrong, if you said I should do what is right, and not reconcile with my former drugdealer. But it is not resolved, as long as he is that, and our history, and I can never speak of it to my loved ones, because it would be betrayal.

But now you understand my point about resolve, and forgiveness.. And how it is an impossible ask, if the issue is realted to others. You are not even allowed to forgive on behalf of others, I think.

Great post brother.

Looking at your response for me I struggle with the Mark 11:25-26 verses.

Do you think it means we could lose our salvation if we do not forgive.
Not taking generally but specific instances like what I suffered per my post above.
If I died before that then what?
it seems like God provided everything you needed in that situation particularly , even when you resisted at first . That entire situation you shared from your experiences seems to me , and I only read it didn’t live it or feel any of it it has the hallmarks of a Gods design from beginning to how it ended.

how touching of a moment when he passed as you prayed that part almost made me cry but in my “manly defense “I’m rather fragile at the moment 🙂

I would say to your question regarding mark 11 that it does say it both ways if you forgive , and if you don’t forgive

I think this part is misunderstood often what Jesus was really saying

“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I think that’s the importance of forgiving others and why it matters so desperately remember how everyone was astonished by Jesus the man who was forgiving sins ?

“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:5-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This wasn’t something taught in the ot it’s new that a man has authority to remit sins, Jesus had it and gave it to his disciples to operate the kingdom by bearing forth his judgements and spirit into the world . that’s something that comes with the Holy Spirit but with it comes his judgement about forgiving to the limit

we are representatives of Christ on earth so we need to grow into his judgements and spread them about losing salvstion I don’t think is what he’s getting at he’s talking about coming to the realization that when a sinner won’t forgive another sinner it’s because they aren’t yet conforming tonthe children of God so I personally believe it’s an exhortation , like being spurred in the spirit it’s meant to create a right understanding in our spirit so we understand the vast importance of being forgiven and also forgiving

the spirit always operates by his judgements and never the ones we hold beforehand sometimes with terrible circumstances as you shared there ot going to be very difficult , there was a reason it was on your heart and you heard what you heard three times and I believe probably mark 11 there being in your heart and soul was directing you to Gods path forward so every TV king worked out as it did which was beautiful in my view from ashes to beauty came the story

I don’t think he’s saying if we have something against another person and died before we could forgive we’ve lost our salvstion , I believe it’s meant to imprint the right belief in our hearts so when any situation comes up we’re going to have a proper compass to guide us

Jesus doctrine is all completely spiritual in nature meant for belief and perseverance it’s how it’s written on the hearts compass so we always have light to lead us in the dark world

You have a good heart and I thumb you up for that. But you get me all wrong. But you have a good heart, trying to fix a issue that does not exist. I am at peace, apart from not knowing the bible. Hate reading books, and now I read. Do not assume what I want fixed, because it is all wrong. I do not know anybody who is christian, only knows atheists, and I assume that is our glitch. Being a militant atheist reading scripture to defeat christianity, becomming a christian in the process, is quite a change, right? I do not have any cares, apart from my fasmily want me to reconnect me to my drugbuddies and ealers, and I cannot tell them, that they are my suppliers, when I used drugs. Does not phase me, but tell me how to fix this without exposing to his mother, the open secret that her son is a drugdealer? That she do not want to admit, but have known for 20 years and protected? And tell me why I should tell my family, making them change their views on him? Why make conflict? I am happy. I do not understand that people think life is pleasant, and you need to fix everything, you do not need to fix all. Some issues relate more to others than you, and that is their tests, not yours. Do not butt in,. For me, not telling you
yeah I’m more speaking about the things God said that are written in the Bible but no I don’t think I have misjudged or gotten you wrong I think you don’t believe that it applies To you because you are seeing your self only as if you aren’t like other people and other people haven’t gone through extremely difficult situations as you have

the secret is to understand everyone seeking after Jesus and the truth of salvstion is going through thoer own trials and tribulations in various ways , and I think your missing that you probably shouldn’t be as comfortable as you are because in the end you also have to answer to God based on what he said when he came to earth and then sent the gospel into the world

why did you come to a Bible discussion forum if you don’t want to discuss what’s in the book you don’t want to read ? Maybe somewhere in you , you know there’s some really perfect and good information in there from God himself and it’s just you struggling to allow it in ? So your assuming no one understands difficult situations like you do ? No one else has ever had situations involving drug dealers ot chaos in thier life

I don’t mean this to be an offense but consider outside of your very small world that others go through things just as difficult and many go through far worse than you will ever come near to you aren’t special or different your human and Jesus can heal us humans

I say that I do not agree that people have to forgive. And you try to convince me that all must forgive everything. I gave you one specifics to make you understand why I am not doing it in one instance. And telling you it does not make sense, that God would give us a test that 99% would fail.

I am not seeking after Jesus. Jesus died for us, he points to God. Doing the required work to get Gods grace now. Came for the social, and to have rome references to study from, and get others takes on. And I am arguing that I think you shall do it truthfully, regardless of outcome. As I said to you or someone else, it is the heart that is tested, not the words you say.So it is not what you say about forgiveness, it is the truthfulness in your words, that he reads from your heart.

I believe Jesus is telling us to humble ourselves enough so there are no limits to our forgiveness.

But I think we sometimes get confused about what forgiveness really looks like.

I don't think it means that we lay down and allow ourselves to be kicked in the head repeatedly.

But forgiveness does free us from having to be judge, jury, and executioner, which is a huge responsibility and too great a burden for one individual.

I like and agree with your versequote. I do not know about the needthing. It is not about that for me. I drop anger/hate as feelings, that means dispassionate. No need for forgiving then. Because I do not feel wronged then. If people are cut out, they cannot betray, steal from you, or lie to you, or anything. So nothing to forgive. If I were to keep toxic relations from the secular world, then I could never ever pray forgiveness, because those feelings would reoccure regulary. So, it would mean I lie to God, if I keep getting angry on those who steal, lie, etc from/to me, before forgiving. Because I think I can only repent one time.
I'll be praying for you.
