All the people on the island have gone through several years of military training and so the entire island can be mobilized. This is worse than Vietnam because they are much better equipped, much better trained, and highly motivated. Remember the Falkland Islands, Taiwan can impose massive losses on China by sinking ships and stopping them on the beaches.

Yes. America has a long history of ditching treaties we have with others. This will be nothing new. What did George Washington say about avoiding entangling alliances and treaties? We should head his advise.


If America wants chips, then America should make chips. Depending on little breakaway islands on the other side of the world for stuff is bad idea.


Listen, I hope you're right. But I don't think so. A few reasons:
1. America is addicted to Chinese debt. Our leaders don't have the stones to put their debt addiction at any risk.
2. America just got done losing to the Taliban. We lost in Iraq. We lost in Vietnam. We couldn't win in Korea. Heck the only reason we "won" in WW2 is because the Germans were pretty much done for by the time we entered the war. The Germans were putting children into battle because all their men were dead already. It was the Russians that beat the Germans. Not us.
3. The only military action that America is good at is if we drop a few bombs on someone and then get out of there. That's it. America doesn't have stomach for attrition. You think millions of American are going to be happy when their sons die to protect chip manufacturers' profit margins?? No. They'll be super mad. And at that point they'll complain to DC and the war will stop. Politicians know this and so America won't go to war with China over Taiwan.

1. America is being made a slave by China debt, if we go to war with them the debt is over. If we conclude that the pandemic was a plandemic from China the debt is over. Grow a pair.

2. Time to win a war. Let me reiterate, if China attacks either the US or Taiwan China will lose. America may lose as well, but Taiwan won't. How humiliating will that be to the US.
