Oops, that went wrong , i'll try again;
John 1: 12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

Just to point out, although i'm sure you already know, that the KJV use of the word "even" is old English and isn't used in the way we use it today, it means something more like "namely"

He died and was still alive in the fire. He did not cease to exist.
So you believe the rich man had eternal life?

Did you even read Rev 20?

Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 20 doesn't end at verse 10. Keep reading. Furthermore, Rev. 20:10 only describes three persons: the devil, beast, and false prophet. It's useless to apply to anyone else.

You are making all of that up! It is not a parable and is about literal Biblical people. You have ZERO proof.
I just showed you the proof but you rejected. No need to keep going in circles. If you want to believe in eternal torment then go for it, atleast you've been shown the truth. I've gone the extra mile with you, now it's time for you to fly solo.

the parables from chapter 15 to 16 was also a rebuke to those Pharisees and them who were rich Pharisees were still accountable to the whole law and how they treated the poor, Jesus was clear you know the word of God and you do not obey, do not think you will not be judged in the next life. Enjoy your love of mammon because in the next life you will not have it.
If you want to judge them by the law, then let's judge the beggar too.

It doesn't say anything about the beggar being too old, frail, crippled, lame, or maimed. All we see is that there is a beggar who refuses to do any work to earn his living.

Proverbs 13:4
4The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Proverbs 18:9
9Whoever is slothful in his work
is brother to him who destroys.

Proverbs 19:15
15Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
10For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

According to the verses above, it seems apparent that slothfulness will keep your belly empty. So why is it a problem for a beggar who isn't working to stay hungry?

Now it doesn't say much about Lazarus except that he has sores and is begging. So just based off the text alone, it sound like he is habitually sinning the sin if slothfulness with as much frequency as the Rich Man sinned. Why did one sinner get paradise and the other sinner get punishment?

Furthermore, how is the rich man carrying on a clear and coherent conversation while being burned alive? Ever touch a flame before? There's no time to chit chat until the pain goes away. Imagine the entire body on fire. The rich man would have been screaming uncontrollably.

I don't see any other conclusion than that the parable of the rich man and Lazarus is not literal.

You can judge the bagger if you want, the context Jesus provided was not to the bagger, was it?

You do not justify a wrong by pointing out another wrong.

Jesus was addressing the Pharisees.

The text provides why.
I'm sure Jesus fully was capable of pointing out the bagger's sin, but it was the sin of self-righteousness the Pharisees displayed that The Lord Jesus was speaking about :)

Well I have quoted the Scriptures several times and you have totally ignored them. I guess I can do it again for you.
They're all going to the same place.
Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)

41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever

Psalm 111:10 (NKJV)
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
I think there is no need to mention one's loves ones is all I am saying :) Your point can and was made without doing that.

It makes all the difference in the world if someone believes in the eternal Hell or "cease to exist". If it was a choice between eternal Hell or "cease to exist" which would you choose.

Why not? The Bible doesn't pull any punches.

Revelation 20:15 (NKJV)
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

well, the bible does say to consider others over yourself. are we trying to win the debate of the person? Pulling punches doesn't mean we are to get personal, and in fact, would it not be hypocritical if one did that to you are you took issue with it?

FYI you made your point very well and did not pull a punch before you spoke of a person's love ones. You did not need to do that is all I am saying.

If you love someone you tell them the Truth.

yes, you do and you can do that without bringing up a person's love ones as you were able to do in the very thread LOL. You did not have to do that :)

When I have opportunity I tell my loved one's the truth. Hell is eternal. All Christians should tell them. There's no purgatory.

Same difference, pretty much. Those words were recorded in what we know as the Bible Scripture is a record of God's history with His chosen people and the world at large, plus His plan for humanity through the shed righteous blood of His only begotten Son.
True. God said we must test the spirit's.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Man's history in the Bibles publishing is enormous. And lest we forget scriptures deemed not to qualify for admission. Because they did not comport with the narrative being compiled by authority of men.

But God is still there. Discernment. Testing the spirits entails knowing when God's whispers his truth and the fray.

And as God is and all is both of and from God, even those without the book are able to find proof of that eternal holy spirit. And everywhere we look so that we are without excuse.

Guess what? People won't go to Hell because someone told them there is no Hell.

Furthermore, I think if you genuinely respected Exegesis you wouldn't resort to a personal attack on someone's parents. They have nothing to do with this topic.

Nor does your claim about the rich man. No one is yet "in Hell."
