Why? you are the one stressing, not me. Are we to ignore our exchanges? OK, I can go to bed as promised. But the EU regulation that tells us that they keep data for 5 years is still in effect, and they could tell us you have an issue here, not me. But of course I can put on a DVD or something. You asked for help, not me, with putting out misery, not wanting help, gotcha. Good night.
Are you drunk?

Nice to meet you and so glad the Lord led you here to CC:) Yes there are wonderful people here but alas none of us are perfect, but hopefully working on it. I agree with your statement on faith w/o doubt, just as stated in God's word. I pray God blesses all your hopes and dreams!

No, kept getting personal replies from a nick that claimed distress. Said it could make a testimony and I could be there and offer some support, before I had to go to sleep. This is not a thread for him, this is a thread for the one introducing herself. And I ask the matthew nick to cut to the chase, so we do not have to drag it out of him. Good day. Not drunk now either. before noon here, so hopefully we can take that off the table. And hopefully matthew has made a testimonythread instead of keeping on in her introduction.

Well, then I guess you have no excuse for the way you are acting.

We don't try to force others to testify. That is not helpful. You suggested it... So if the person wants to do a testimony thread they will, if not LEAVE it alone.

And we don't have to drag anything out of anybody because it is none of our business. If someone wants to share something they will, if not let it go. You are the one derailing this thread.

You are the one that keeps bringing up someone's personal information or trying to get personal with someone else on this thread.

So really if I were you, I'd drop it. You're making yourself look like a pushy nut job...just saying.

Not forcing anybody, told a nick about how the instructions are for this thread. This was about the OP introducing herself, not about others replying to eachother. So I informed another nick that there was a category for exchanging opinions/discussing, after matthew replied to me. As will I tell you. So let us not reply to eachother more in this one, which is meant to be for the OP meeting new people. If you want to talk to me about this, you should make a comment in misc and tag me, then tell me how to act better there. No need to do testimony, just pick a category that fits and tag me.

Or I could just Personal Message you....but seems like that would probably get broadcast to everyone else, anyhow....Woe is me, what to do...what to do??? Guess, I'll just take my own advice and drop it....:giggle:

Meaning of life, wrong question, the meaning of life is to procreate and live by nature, as a species meant to tend nature. You can find enough meaningful stuff to add value to life, which meaks it a meaningful one. This can be different for different folks, at different times in life. Essentially you live a life in accordance with yourself, and you will probably enjoy life, then you add things to it over time, and cut things out as the phases change. Ammusing yourself is very important. Not being angry is very important. And for those of us that are fortunate enough, faith is the most important thing in life. And is lifechanging. If you do not enjoy life, you must be doing many things that you do not enjoy, or have wrong relationships, or you do not do enough stuff you like a lot. And get a hobby.
The meaning of life is to seek Jesus, and then seek a closer walk with Him. It is the same for everyone... no exceptions.

Matthew
7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Revelation
3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

He loves you. He died for you. He wants you to invite Him into your heart today.

Very nice verses you reference, I have no doubt that Jesus loves us, the faith is strong. My comment really is from a philosophical point of view, combined with the biblical teachings. Are we not born as sinners, out of an act of sin? And then we journey that way untill we find faith, so in order to get to a place in life of peace, we must add content, deal with temptation and all sorts of stuff, that make us who we are. Before we then seek the kingdom of God in truth. And I agree with Hobbes quite a bit, and other philosophers, and it is identitytheory/practice involved. So the path is not one way fits all. But all paths can lead you to the same place.

I have a problem with the matthew book, the wording is ancient, and almost impossible to read. Have to use a dictionary. And it does seem to be the same issue in your bible. 7.9, what does that even mean? I have no clue, same for the following ones, this must be read in full for me. As I have, but I did not fully understand it all, since I need a bible with a newer translation. 7.7 I understand, I think this is about praying, and I do not pray. I want some things for the computer, and get back some hijacked email accounts, but I do not think that is the sort of things that I should ask the lord for. I do not think it is right to pray for material things.

1ofthem. Should I have not said things that I said?
Sorry, I don't know why but I didn't see this earlier.

I have not seen anywhere that you said or did anything wrong or out of line.

I found that looking for happiness was often the cause of pain. When stopped looking, i felt better able to take action on the present
Your post here was good sound advice. Happiness is just an emotion and should not be the main thing that we are seeking in life.

Joy comes from the Lord. And we can have joy and contentment no matter what kind of circumstances we face.

If we are solely concerned with seeking happiness, then we are sure to be let down and saddened.

When we seek the Lord and look to Him, then we can have true joy which nothing or no one can take away, even in sadness we have joy and hope.

So yeah, in my opinion, your post was spot on and no you didn't say anything wrong or out of order...all we have to do is go back and review page 1 of this thread and it is clear.

You could start a thread on this topic if you like. If you do, then send me a link and I will participate in it.

You do bring up some interesting points.

I disagree with the part I bolded in your statement, "Are we not born as sinners, out of an act of sin? And then we journey that way untill we find faith, so in order to get to a place in life of peace, we must add content, deal with temptation and all sorts of stuff, that make us who we are. It really doesn't have to be as difficult as what we sometimes make it out to be. Yes, we are going to face trials, but no, we don't have to face them on our own, clean ourselves up to somehow get ourselves to a place where we can seek the Kingdom of God in truth. The truth is we will never be able to do that on our own. It takes God.

All we have to do is put our faith in Him, completely. The only way to do that is to renew our minds to the Word of God and put Him first and have a relationship with Him. Content and joy come from trusting the Lord.

Jesus is our peace and until we put complete faith in Him we will never have peace. If we put our faith and trust in him then we can have peace, joy, and hope no matter what else is happening in our lives.

I pasted my comment into a new post and made it in the biblediscussion, then added a paragraph that may clear some up. It is awaiting approval. I do not think we disagree. I have total faith in God. No doubt and fear. I cannot read right now, only do some small biblechecks. We have an election coming up soon, and today the parties have sent some reps to debate on the christian channel, and finally we have an interesting debate for the first time in 3 weeks. Was thinking of making some threads about those issues. so will be in misc or current events I guess..

Ok, I will keep a lookout for it.

And also the others, if you decide to post them.
