Nor was Israel a woman who gave birth to Jesus! And for that matter I didn't notice Israel fleeing to the wilderness in fear of Satan either. Nor are the Israel's children "those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus" as referenced in verse 17. Israel's children actively reject Jesus and certainly don't keep the commandments. In fact Israel's children were the ones being used by Satan to kill Christians. I think it's absurd to see Rev12 as anyone but Mary. The only way to see it otherwise is if you're trying to bend scripture to something you desperately want it to mean.
Reading the whole Bible gives us the whole Picture.

For it is absolutely absurd to think that Revelation 12 speaks of Mary - from a Pure Holy Spirit inspired Revelation.

The conception of Jesus in Mary was immaculate but she was not a perpetual virgin. It states clearly in the below verse that Joseph did not know his wife Mary until after the birth of Jesu.

Matthew 1:25
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

The scripture references that you provided only confirm that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was conceived. The verses do not state that Mary remained a perpetual virgin after the birth of Jesus.

Your portrayal of biblical Mary in regards to her being a perpetual virgin is inaccurate. Also, there are no scriptures that state that Mary herself was conceived immaculately.
The doctrine of "The Immaculate Conception" is not that the conception of our Lord in Mary was immaculate but much worse the doctrine states that Mary herself is immaculately conceived, that she is sinless.

A foolish doctrine

For if they suppose that Mary had to be immaculate in order to conceive Christ then all of Mary's line would of necessity stretching back to Adam have had to be immaculate. Mary was an ordinary simple devout Jewish girl.

The doctrines concerning Mary are the contrivances of dirty old men.

I fully concur with your estimate of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

You say that 'Flesh begets flesh only'. Apparantly you don't understand the nature of Jesus, he was both God and Man and, try as you like, that nature is inseparable. And you are wrong again when you say that Christ was the seed of David. According to Scripture, Christ was the seed of the Holy Spirit in Mary. For a senior member you don't seem to know too much.
How odd it must seem to you that St Peter makes so little of Mary, he does not adore her, pray to her, name feast days after her.

The entire contents of these pictures are BEAUTIFUL - makes me cry.
Thank you... that one's name was Ferocious, though she was really quite sweet, with me, at least. I fed them every day, and walked them often. Charlie would sit on my shoulders with her front paws on the top of my head LOL. They were a hit at the neighborhood fire station :giggle: As you can see, Ferocious was as big as my torso o_O She could have easily ripped my face off, but I had no fear of that with her :)

surely you mean four pet racoons for two years :D
We started with the four my dad rescued, but only kept two :D

My daughter inherited my love of animals... and her dad's too. She works at an animal hospital...

Those pics are probably about 55 years old :devilish:

I think the first one was taken the night my dad brought them home from his parent's farm.

Now you do not need to leave the city to find such critters... they are everywhere!

I only have one child as well, and though I call her my child, she is now in her thirties :) Some say she was a miracle baby, and I would not argue with that ;) She was born at 24 weeks gestation weighing under a pound and a half. Co-incidentally (or not) today was the day in the year she was born when she started breathing on her own after "accidentally" extubating her respiratory tube, which she had required for the previous almost three months. Her oxygen needs remained high after that, but she never went back to being intubated. She did, however, require oxygen, even after coming home. My daughter is not a believer either. I will pray for your Briel; please pray for mine :)
