The Different between Daniel 2 & Daniel 7.

These two chapters contain great insight into what God is doing in these times of the end of the Gentiles Ruling the world.

Daniel 2 reveals a Great Image that symbolises the whole of the Gentile`s rulership by 5 World Rulers. Four world Rulers have come and gone. Their governments have been found wanting and God dealt with them. They were - Babylon, Medes & Persians, Greece and Rome. We do not see these governments anymore and God does not revive those people that ruled.

The last world ruler has yet to emerge. When it does it will be a divided kingdom, and the last before God sets up His kingdom rule through Israel.



Daniel 7 on the other hand reveals great powers that arise one at a time just before God sets up His kingdom rule. These great powers continue all at the same time till finally the last one gains power over the others and becomes the world Ruler. This last one matches the `divided kingdom` of Daniel 2.

Thus God has given us an overview of the times of the Gentiles ruling the world, (Dan. 2) and then also the great powers heading up to the final Gentile world ruler.

Knowing the difference enables one to clearly see what is happening in our world today. However those who confuse the two chapters are always confused and conjecturing about what is happening.



So let`s discuss how this knowledge helps us to see clearly the road to Global Government by these great powers.

Interesting subject, especially the timing of the Lord's kingdom during the time of of 10 kings.

Dan 2:44 And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall its sovereignty be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand for ever;

Thank you for your reply. Yes and amen, for the Lord setting up His righteous rulership through Israel over the nations after He has dealt with the world`s armies surrounding Jerusalem. (Joel 3: 1 & 2, Rev. 19: 11 - 21)

I would like to just edit some of my op.

I see that knowing the difference enables one to clearly see what is happening in our world today. However those who confuse the two chapters, it seems, are always confused and conjecturing about what is happening.

So let`s discuss Daniel 7`s great beastly powers and see if they relate to the final Gentile Global Government that is forming.

I believe that God not only knows who the great powers of our day are, but that He reveals them in His word. God the Father said to His Son, -

`Sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your footstool.` (Ps.110: 1)

So looking at the nations of the world and the Global Institutions and Forums we see that the G 7/8 is the main one. Those in the G 7/8 are the main ones in the G 20 and also control the UN. Thus we need to look at who are the main powers in the G 7/8.

The G 7/8 - Britain & America, Russia & Europe.

These the world calls the `Big Four, or the `Quartet of Power`. The UN is included however the others control it.

Now I believe, (& was taught, `70`s) that Daniel 7 reveals these Great Powers of our day, just before the Lord sets up His rulership through Israel. In our time these four kingdoms/Federations are phenomena. They come up one at a time and are concurrent with each other.

Daniel saw them in a vision of four beasts, which God tells us, are four kingdoms. (Dan.7: 23)

The first was represented by a Lion with eagle wings. The wings were plucked off and the Lion was given a heart of a man and told to stand on its feet. (Dan. 7: 4) We know that the British Empire was huge, controlling over a quarter of the earth. America came from this great Empire, `broken off,` and became a separate nation though would often be in alliance with it.

In the `50`s the British Empire became a Commonwealth of Nations, ` a man`s heart was given it,` referring in Political language to co-existing in freedom, peace and equality. (Dan. 7: 4)

Thus may I suggest that the first great power of our day, the British Commonwealth with America coming from it, is symbolized by the Lion with eagle`s wings. These emblems are easily recognizable as relating to those great powers.

There are BOTH differences and similarities between these two chapters, but the entire prophecy of Daniel is interconnected and ultimately focused on the eternal Kingdom of God on earth after the Second Coming of Christ.

The Little Horn -- the Antichrist
The Ancient of Days -- God the Father
One like unto the Son of Man -- the Lord Jesus Christ who destroys all earthly kingdoms and empires

The amazing fact is that through Daniel, God gave us a preview of how the various empires would succeed each other from about 600 BC to the future past 2021 AD unto the reign of the Antichrist, followed by his destruction at the Second Coming of Christ.

The Ancient of Days -- That Adam right?

Verses 40-41 refute this interpretation.

And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron because iron breaks to pieces and shatters all things. And like iron that crushes, it shall break and crush all these. And as you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom....

There is no 'fifth kingdom'. There are only four, and the fourth shall be divided. This is Rome, and the dream ended with Jesus setting up His kingdom, which He did during the reign of the Roman empire.

Given that there is no fifth kingdom in Daniel 2, it is more reasonable that the fourth beast is again Rome. The ten horns match the ten emperors beginning with Julius. The three were those who only lasted a few months each, in 68-69, and the tenth was Vespasian, under whose rule Jerusalem was sacked.

Both Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 prophesy the same set of events. Daniel was given a vision of the end of Levitical Judaism and ancient Israel, which occurred in 70 AD.

God the Father is the Ancient of Days.

How do you prove that the `feet and clay` the divided kingdom, is Rome? God judged that government and does not revive them.

Also in reference to the four beastly kingdoms, how does your RRE tread down Babylon, or Medes and Persians?

`...the fourth beast...it was devouring, breaking down in pieces and trampling the rest with its feet.` (Dan. 7: 7)

And how does Babylon, Medes & Persians, and Greece & Rome still go on after your RRE is destroyed?

`I watched till the beast was slain and its body given to the burning flame.
As for the rest of the beasts/kingdoms, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season, and a time.` (Dan. 7: 11 & 12)

There are five body parts and thus five kingdoms. Can you prove the divided kingdom is Rome?

I agree the last kingdom of the Great Image (Dan. 2) is the same as the last beastly power of Dan. 7. However that does not make the other parts the same. Please see what I wrote to Nehemiah above.

That is good and that is my belief.

Daniel 2 and 7 are the same but Daniel 7 tells of a world leader.

Dan 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
Dan 7:2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
Dan 7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

Daniel had a vision of 4 kingdoms that shall come one after the other that would be different than each other which is the 4 ways of people and while all 4 went by all 4 ways one of those ways was their chief mode of operation.

Dan 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

The first is Babylon which represents human religion, the occult, and when they lost the revelation of the God of Israel they became known as the kingdom of man.

Dan 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

The second is Medo-Persia which represents physical cruelty in war.

Dan 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

The third is Greece which represents human wisdom.

Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
Dan 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

The fourth is the Roman Empire which represents pushing for power, territory.

The 10 horns is the world split in to 10 sections with a leader in each section, one world government when the nations come together, and the antichrist comes from the 10 horns which the 10 horns hand their power over to him and he gets control of the world which they shall devour the whole world.

The 3 horns plucked up by the roots is probably the 6th trumpet which is Islam against the world because they stopped the preaching of anything contrary to the new age movement which interprets the Bible and all religions according to the occult and evolution and they are still evolving and there is no personal God and nuclear bomb the Arab nations for they rebelled against the one world government and religious system.

Dan 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Dan 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

The Roman Empire does not lose her dominion until Jesus puts them down.

The other 3 beasts will never have physical dominion again but their lives were prolonged for a time and a season which means their ways are still on earth and they show up at the beast kingdom which is the kingdom of man in its entirety with no belief in a personal God.

Which in Daniel 2 the 4 kingdoms do not pass away until Jesus hits the feet with 10 toes which is the same as the 10 horns and then they are found no more for if their ways are still on earth they have nor fallen yet.

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

In chapter 12 the crowns are on the heads which is Satan in the spiritual realm deceiving people by way of the 7 kingdoms, and in chapter 13 the crowns are on the horns which is Satan in the natural realm deceiving people as the New Age Christ.

All 4 kingdoms are at the beast kingdom.

The 10 horns is the Roman Empire which has the physical dominion and its chief mode of operation of pushing for power, territory.

With the ways of a lion which is Babylon's chief mode of operation human religion, the occult, and the kingdom of man.

Which the beast kingdom is Babylon in spirit for it represents human religion, the occult, and the kingdom of man.

With the ways of a bear which is Medo-Persia's chief mode of operation physical cruelty in war to take away all people that oppose their kingdom.

With the ways of a leopard which is Greece's chief mode of operation human wisdom.

This kingdom believes in no personal God and only goes by their ways which the beast kingdom is the kingdom of man in its entirety which there has not been a kingdom like that before it.

This kingdom believes they are still evolving to be spiritual.

Pretty much agree except i see the nations around the Mediterranean as revived roman empire. And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems upon its horns and a blasphemous name upon its heads. Rev 13:1

I already demonstrated that there are only four kingdoms. The fourth is divided.

Since the North African nations are a mess, the European countries around the Mediterranean will definitely be involved. But the Holy Roman Empire went beyond that area. Only time will tell.

One of the reasons i say around the Med sea was a quote from Daniel 11:43 He shall become ruler of the treasures of gold and of silver, and all the precious things of Egypt; and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall follow in his train. And out of these 10 nations he shall conquer 3 and become the eighth

Since Rome is represented as iron, and the feet do contain iron, it is reasonable to conclude that the remnant of the former Roman empire is involved in the future. It does not mean that God revives this ancient empire, but that the nations that were a part of that empire are involved with the Antichrist.
Sorry, but that is not really what is meant. It was Rome which treaded down the preceding empires, and then itself fell and was destroyed. You seem to be misunderstanding the flow of history. Each of these empires was succeeded by the next one until Rome disappeared. There is now a hiatus of at least 1500 years. Then when the Antichrist appears the remnants of the Roman empire will show up as those ten kingdoms. And they too will be destroyed. And after that the worldwide empire of the Antichrist will be destroyed.

Nebuchadnezzar's image shows a progressive deterioration in the quality of those empires (called kingdoms). Gold is better than silver, which is better than brass, which is better than iron. So the worst and most evil empire will be that of the Antichrist.

Thank you for your view. I see you have interpreted the kingdoms as `ways of operating.` That is interesting for Daniel 7 does describe these beastly kingdoms as to their behavior - beastly with detail.

Note however that God says that the beasts are kingdoms, meaning Political, not religious. (Dan. 7: 23)

You say the first beastly kingdom represent human religion. A kingdom is Political. Also remember that the great whore rides the final beast. She is religious but the beast/kingdom is Political.

I do agree with your thought that Islam lays a part in the final Gentile Government.

So what about those controlling the world now - the G 7/8, G 20 & UN. Any thoughts on those?

Dan. 2`s Great Image reveals 4 world rulers that have come and gone, which we agree with. However the Gentiles are still ruling the world and God has not yet set up physically His kingdom rule on earth. Thus it does not all occur at 70 A.D.

I know you think you have demonstrated only four kingdoms, but it seems to me you have only said that and not shown by scripture your view. Can you do that?
