"You fixed the sea, Lord, drowning boastful Pharao with his chariots; you saved the people dry-shod and led them to the mountain of sanctification, as they cried: Let us sing a song of victory to our God, the mighty in wars."

When Peter preached to Cornelius the Holy Ghost fell upon him while Peter was preaching, Jesus saves.

Simon the magician was baptised.
Even under the OT there were those doubters...so is it under the NT.

"You opened springs of life-giving waters for the Church, O Good One, as You cried: if any thirst, let them with fervour come and drink!"

"Like waves of the sea, O Lover of mankind, the waves of life assail me; therefore, like Jonas I cry to You, O Word: Bring my life up from corruption, compassionate Lord"

"Water my soul, dried up by lawless faults, with the streams of your blood and show it to be heavy with the fruits of virtues; for You have told all to come to You, All-holy Word of God, and to draw the living water of incorruption, which cleanses the sins of those who hymn your glorious and divine Rising. You grant to those who know You to be God the strength of the Spirit which was brought from on high to your Disciples: for you are the source of our life."

"Saviour, the ever-living spring, you promised to give living water, welling up, water of incorruption to those who receive in faith your Spirit, who proceeds from the Father."

"Finding the woman of Samaria by the well of Jacob, Jesus, who covers the earth with clouds, asked water of her. O the wonder! He who rides on the Cherubim converses with a woman who is a harlot. He who hung the earth upon the waters, asks for water. He who pours out springs and pools of water, seeks water, as he wishes truly to draw her who is hunted by the warlike foe, and to quench with the water of life the thirst of her who is aflame with foul desires, as He alone is compassionate and loves mankind."

Jesus at the Feast of Tabernacles, in the temple of Jerusalem (when the Jews, once again, got angry at Him for healing a blind man on Sabbath; they were also wondering how cand he teach if he is illiterate...?)

John 7:37-38

"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them (from their belly)"

We get baptised to show that we have been saved, we don't get baptised to be saved.

This is a very subtle form of idolatry to trust in the ordinance rather than Christ who is our only salvation. Like when the Jews made an idol of Gideon's ephod.

Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him. (Heb. 5:9) In Mark 16, Jesus said he who believes and is baptized shall be saved. He did not say be saved by believing and afterward get baptized. Notice as well that the word says everyone is to submit to water baptism for the remission of sin. (Acts 2:38) And Ananias told Paul how to accomplish the washing away of his sin. He instructed Paul to be water baptized calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)

Sadly, many are deceived by what is taught concerning water baptism in many churches today. The biblical record is clear. The way one is birthed into the New Testament church remains the same. Obedience to God's command to repent, be water baptized in the name of Jesus, and receive the Holy Ghost began on the Day of Pentecost as Jesus said it would in Luke 24:46-47. Again, He said it would BEGIN there, indicating it would go on...

Wrong.

Stick with the Bible (I recommend 1611 KJV) and we can all make progress for Christ as witnesses on this earth...rather than bickering.

God doesn't depend on the physical world to establish the Spiritual World. Well, that's my human opinion.

Water baptism is a reflection of Colossians 2:9-15, the Circumcision of Christ.

I would add that the physical world is a reflection of the Spiritual World.

You are just wrong per scripture. Why do you do that?

Further, the physical world has ...not a smither...representation of the spiritual world.

I recognize Scripture to formulate opinions. But in the below case, there is nothing to formulate, for the opinion has already been established by God Himself.

Isaiah 34:15-16 NIV - "The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings; there also the falcons will gather, each with its mate. 16 Look in the scroll of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together."

All that is done in the physical world has been pre-written. Are you familiar with Isa 34:15-16? If not, I understand. No pastor ever taught me this either.

May the Lord grant you the Greatest of Blessing possible.

Yes...answer that. But, suggest you study scriptures first. Suggest you start start with Acts 2;38.
I am "wrong per scripture." You then ask, "Why do you do that?"

You want me to answer "why I do that?"

It doesn't sound like you're coming at me with brotherly love, so I'm not interested. If you can change your attitude, I'd be more willing.

If you are saying that baptism saves then it is you who are bickering ... Jesus saved but He didn't baptise, Paul saved but he was not sent to baptise.

It might seem a small point to you but I think it is significant that the full verse of what Jesus says in Mark. 16 is "... he who believes and is baptised shall be saved but he who believeth not is condemned already"

... I think that Jesus did not say "he who believeth not and is not baptised ..." is significant.

Whether you like or not multitudes have been baptised [in one form or another] but have not been saved and multitudes have been saved but not water baptised.

It's just the fact ... The Salvation Army does not baptise ... I think they are wrong, I wish all christians would be baptised in accordance with scripture.

Baptism does not save.

If you are saying that baptism saves then it is you who are bickering ... Jesus saved but He didn't baptize, Paul saved but he was not sent to baptize.
AND . . . because there is one Faith and one Baptism, the Patriarchs of the Old Testament were saved, yet there was no water Baptism. This is one reason why it is so important for us to do our best to Know and Understand the Old Testament.

Hey Billy . . . have I told you, lately, how amazing you are?! Glad that you're here!!

I don't put words in God's mouth. So it is not me saying it ...it is His word!!!

Please, then you tell me what this means....;

1 Peter 3:21
King James Version

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us.....
