Are Christian women allowed to teach their sons the scriptures ?

hello, I have been taught through the scriptures and through pastors that Christian women are not to preach over men, but I was wondering if, in the case of raising children, if they are allowed to teach their sons the scriptures as well as their daughters, or if they should leave it up to their husbands to teach their sons, or if she is single or divorced or widowed, a male mentor from the Church ? I have been searching through the scriptures and been having trouble finding a definite answer

Consider the case of Timothy, who had a Christian mother and grandmother. Nothing is said about his father’s faith. He likely learned much from them.

By all means, a Christian mother should definitely teach her son the faith. There is no restriction on teaching one’s own children. A single mom might ask the help of a pastor or elder on certain issues, but should be teaching and modelling the essentials constantly.

The mother teaching her child the things of the Lord is so profound that a chapter of Proverbs is dedicated to her.

Proverbs 31, the virtuous woman!

Prov. 31:1

"The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him."

King Lemuel was another name for Solomon, the son of David. His mother was Bathsheba.

Many theologians say that Bathsheba dedicated Solomon to the Lord and continuously taught him the Law of God.

The Lord most definitely will honor the mother who teaches her child His words!

Children submit to their parents and obey them until 20 years old - the age of accountability. Children are to always honor their parents.

The relationship between parent and child is NOT to be confused with the relationship of man and woman in the marriage covenant in which the woman submits to the authority of her husband concerning the marriage, NOT her faith in Christ.

The same is true with Masters and Servants or Bosses and Employees…

When I take a job, I am submitting to my boss but, ONLY concerning the job - NOT my faith in Christ.

As long as male and female exist in the physical realm, the male will always be the head of the woman IN A MARRIAGE.

In the Parent and Child relationship- male and female does not apply.

IN THE BODY OF CHRIST there is no male or female...ONLY Christ is the HEAD, not man or woman.

I think women should definitely teach their kids. At the same time, though every one who teaches needs to understand the importance of teaching and the repercussions of causing someone to stumble.

In my opinion, I think moms are best off doing a "storytelling" type of teaching. Mothers do have authority over their sons; but I think it's best if they explain the goodness of God- his power, his righteousness, and his authority. Really, even fathers need to do that... teach about God, his goodness, his power, his righteousnees, his authority, before establishing their own. Otherwise, your kids will just think you want them to worship you.

So, yeah... mothers not only "can" teach their sons... they're supposed to. They need to. It's fundamental. Essential. It just has to be done in the right way.

But what you teach can't over Jesus, cuz Jesus is man, also other men and women couldn't preach the wrong gospel over Jesus.
