Many have gone back to sins they were once freed from. They claim that they still believe. But that is only when you corner them and ask them. They don't give anyone any indication that they are believers and they are in bondage to the sins they were once freed from.

There are many who were genuinely living a born again life, for many years and there is no way they could have lived the sanctified life and known the truths that they once espoused without that born again experience that they testified too. But as the decades rolled by they went through a divorce or something and started drinking and withdrew from church and started doing the things they used to do before they got saved. Now they visit the bars every night and hang around with sinners and pretend to be just like them.

This is real. Not a made up scenario. And the question that must be answered is "are they going to heaven because of their past experience even though they have backslidden?" Is their confession that they still believe enough to excuse their decadence and drunkeness? Of course not. We would tell them to repent before it is too late. But to tell them that they never were born again in the first place would be a desperate effort to make a false doctrine make sense to oneself. Don't you think?
Here is what I know

Jesus said whoever recieves his gift has passed from death to life

We are said to be made new creatures

We are said that we have been given every spiritual blessing under heaven

we are said we have been given the spirit as a pledge UNTIL the day of redemption (ressurection day)

We are said to have been justified, perfected forever. And that he who began a good work in us will complete it until the day of christ

We are told he will never leave nor forsake us. And even if we tried to run where are we going to go that God is not there. Where can we hide from God?

We are told that we will never die, live forever and be risen on the last day.

we are told that we will spend eternity with him, and even if we are faithless he is faithful; why? He can;t deny himself

Its not about us. It’s About God and his promise.

We can’t earn sa;cation. The first sin we commited we lost the ability to save ourselves.

Gods standard is perfection. And the moment we break that standard we are dependent on God. If we came to him for salvation. We and he saves us and gives us all the promise I showed above. The only way salvation can be lost is that God broke his promise. And he denies himself.

Salvation is not about how worthy we are. No one living or dead is worthy of eternal life. When God rescued the people from Egypt. The angel did not look at the worthiness of the people inside. He looked at the blood on the door. Tha animal that sacrificed his life for the salvation of the people.

The law teaches the same thing.. Gods standard is perfection. And the only means of atonement is the blood of the animal that was sacrificed.

Adam and eve was taught this, that sin caused death. But an animal that was killed to cover their nakedness before God.

If we look at a person and see there sin and try to judge them, who are we? 1st, who are we to think we are better than those people in Gods eyes? (Thank God I am not like the sinner) and number 2, should we not be looking at our own sin and not the sin of others. And why if we are looking at their sin, are we looking at them? To make ourselves feel better?

I know this. Alot of people who think we will ion heaven will be missing, and a lot of people we think will not make it will be there.

Salvation is Gods. Its his to give, its his to keep. We have no part in this process. That is why it is of grace.

Sanctification is empowered by God but we have to react to his work in us. Many will grow in leaps and bounds, Many will remain babes in christ and need to continue to be fed mil. And many will have ups and downs where they have times of great victory in christ, and times where their flesh gets the best of them.

Who are we to judge if they are saved or not? Who are we?

In what way am I false teacher? Because I don't agree with your stance? Or rather you also support Joel Osteen, and Benny Hinn, Tod White, etc too? I guess you're not aware, but most bible believing Christians think they are all charlatans and making a prophet off the gospel.
your a false teacher because you preach a false gospel

what does benny hint or any one else have to do with the gospel
once again you deflect from what is being said and try to shift the focus off yourself

You should be ashamed

You're not a part of this conversation--I was responding to Aerial. Charlie was smart to put you on 'ignore' --I think I'll follow suit...
Yep

Lets do what you say and not what you do

Hypicrite

Go ahead and put me on ignore. I will still expose your hypocrisy.

You must be heavily burdened living with persecution, Paul's sufferngs, and Christ's poverty.
Can you share some of your persecutions?
Your good works serving Paul and his suffering, it must be a heavy burden.
And do you suffer as Christ suffers?
Can you elaborate or do you just talk about it?
The other poster was saying they thought it was okay to be rich— I posted those verses to show the greatest men in the kingdom were poor and suffered much.

Jim Jones Jr claims his father never truly believed, and there is no question he was a charlatan, and crazy too. But I can't tell if Joel truly believes or has he just been pretending and has never believed, or if he believe at first and then stopped believing.

"…13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.…"--2 Corinthians 11:14

The bible says you will know them by their fruits and we are warned to watch out for false teachers. It also says, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!"----Galatians 1:8

Mem, he preaches the prosperity gospel. He doesn't preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. You'll see him holding his bible, but never open it--he's more like a Tony Robbins for 'Christians'. No one in the New Testament and no true faithful pastor now would ever make a profit off the gospel. I don't know anyone in any church I've attended or any bible study for that matter who listened to him. I am amazed at the thousands who do; but the Roman Catholic Church has millions. However, millions died in the flood and only eight were saved, so a majority does not make something true.

"Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God."--2 Corinthians 2:17

If you notice in the New Testament the money was going to the poor and the persecuted Christians. It also went to help those who were preaching the gospel, but Paul continued to work making tents and he was supported only when he was in need--and often not that.

"And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so."--2 Corinthians 11:9

Look up "Joel Osteen"+"False Teacher" on the internet -- you will find a multitude of articles.

And this verse:

“…There will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” 2 Peter 2:1–3"

This word sensuality is about appealing to the flesh--the prosperity gospel does just that!

And oh how the truth is blasphemed when unbelievers see these charlatans--they think ALL Christians are like this.

The other poster was saying they thought it was okay to be rich— I posted those verses to show the greatest men in the kingdom were poor and suffered much.
Oh, I see, sorry for the mix up.
But you posted it in such a way that it sounded loud and clear as if you believe this is how we should live.
The Bible does not say that.
Jesus suffered more than all of us for us.
Paul chose his life but never said we should all be like him and suffer like him.

I have suffered much since I got saved,
I have suffered very much.
But I have also prospered.
And I prosper now.
I would prefer to prosper.

3 John verse 2; Dear friend, I pray you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

This is a very powerful verse.
John prays for good health, salvation, and overall prosperity.
I pray for that too.

There are well too many verses in Scripture where people ask for these things and God says he will give us these things.
God doesn't tell us we should suffer.
He says if we don't obey him we shall suffer.
But you say you are suffering now?
Well so did Job for a while, and then God gave him more than before.
Why?
Because he was faithful.

If and when we suffer, it should only be for a time.
God knows why we suffer better than we do.
He wants to see us be faithful, no matter what.
It is hard, I know, I have been through it.
With suffering he puts us through the fire to build up our faith.
The stronger our faith, the more power we have to defeat the enemy.

God has a plan for each of us.
Don't let negative thoughts take away what he has in store for you.
We have victory in Jesus.
As you suffer, remember, you have victory in Jesus.
Keep looking forward.
It's on the way.....
1 Thessalonians 5:18a: give thanks in all circumstances...

You said I am saying "Loud and Clear how we should live" I wrote no comments--I simply posted the verses. You say I said " I am suffering now"--where did I write that?

All humans suffer on this earth--some more than others. I simply posted the verses to make a point against the false teaching of the prosperity gospel-please refrain from adding to what I've written. And if we proclaim the true gospel, the bible says we will suffer. Money has nothing to do with God's blessings--God's face is what He wants us to seek, not His hands. He said he would provide for our needs day to day. A few may have wealth, but most don't--those verses were saying the Christian walk is not one of health, wealth ,and prosperity--that many do not prosper, but often just the opposite--I am not saying that is what happens to everyone. And wealth should never come from preaching the gospel.

"Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee."--Hebrews 13:5

"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;"--1 Timothy 6:17

So your complaint is with Joel Osteen, not the thousands that benefit by what he preaches.
Is that true?

I've tried to come up with an alliteration:

The prideful ,profitable prophet pilfered plenty poor, penniless parishioners.
I like that word 'alliteration' - have to google it to see what it means.

OK - got it - same first letter of several related words.

My alliteration:
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could upchuck wood?

OK - more like a tongue twister or a brain teaser.

Well, not really an alliteration - more like a literation if that's even a word. Totally off-topic but funny though.

What's the topic again? I forget.

Dear me--what is anyone's benefit to hearing a false teacher preach a false gospel? There is no more benefit, than the millions who attended Mass in the Roman Catholic Church.

It is a tongue twister! As in, sea shells, she sails, down by the sea shore.

And he better not be eating the wood as he certainly would have to UPCHUCK it.

How much would could a wood chuck, chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?;)

Remind me, the next time I want to know something about my pastor to just ask you.

We are to warn believers against false teachers--Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light. As an illustration:

A journalist had gotten into the Nazi concentration camps and saw the horrors there--he went to the Jewish ghettos and tried to warn them--amazingly, only a few believed him-- most of the others did not.

I am warning you and anyone reading this: Joel Osteen is 100% a false teacher "they come in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves."

"Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains."--John 9:41
