Has anyone wondered about the verse talking about Wormwood hitting the planet? Any guesses when that will hit or any thoughts on it? I'm trying hard to piece together the end times and it's very hard.

Revelation 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

I believe it will be a meteor that will hit the sea.. It will cause huge devastation over 1/3rd of the wolds surface and will trigger the largest earthquake ever seen on planet earth.. Much of the great destruction brought upon planet earth during the wrath will be caused by this meteor..

Revelation 16: KJV
18 "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great."

I also believe it will trigger massive volcanic eruptions..

Joel 2: KJV
30 "And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. {31} The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. {32} And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."

I also believe this meteor will trigger huge tsunami's

So when this impact happens many of the other things mentioned in prophecy about the Day of the LORD will happen very rapidly..

Most if not all of the Book of Revelation are symbols.

The last prophecy is by Jesus as given by John. The recipient of the prophecy are Christians as identified by the 7 congregations that are no more but are in the presence of God. Their sins are listed in Rev 2-3.

Rev 8 8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain <Divine Host - Daniel 2> burning with fire was cast into the sea <the unfaithful world - Isaiah 57:20>: and the third part <cardinal indicating damaged but functional - Revelation 12:4 > of the sea became blood; 9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died <inhabitants of the world - Matthew 4>; and the third part of the ships were destroyed <hope of Zion - Isaiah 60> . 10And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven <angel/principle/idea - citation required>, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters <freshwater of the earth (faithful) - Jeremiah 2>; 11And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters , because they were made bitter <falling away due to false doctrines - Numbers 5 > .12And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise <Glory of God and Jesus (is taken away) - Deuteronomy 17> .

Nothing to worry about, unless you have dirty hands and forehead.

You have everything spot on except the cause of the Rev. 16:18 Earthquake, in the Trumpets we see that God casts the incense/prayers of the Saints down to earth via Fires and an Earthquake

Rev. 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

I see this asteroid as causing the above earthquake, but what is seen by John as an Earthquake is an Asteroid Impact that indeed shakes the whole earth !! Luke 21, as I showed in another board last night indeed will cause Tsunamis (roaring waves, which he says as not in Revelation, so you know how to get to all the facts, impressed), and Rev. 8 causes all of these Trumpet Judgments via ONE ASTEROID, the Wormwood portion is the same Asteroid, it's just the Nuclear Fallout of the impact. The Fourth Trumpet is THE RESULTS, it is the Sun, Moon, and Stars going dim because of all the fires from the Asteroid Impact getting into the Jet Stream and then eventually blotting out the light from the Sun, Moon, and Stars by 1/3. Thus the Prophesy of Joel 2:31 not only comes true BUT (Surprise) the Six Seal Prophesy by Jesus also COMES TRUE (the Seals ARE NOT Judgments) at the same time.

Now, why is the Rev. 16 Earthquake not related to this Asteroid Impact per se? CONTEXT. The BELOW is Jesus landing on the holt mountain in Jerusalem and splitting it into, just before he DESTROYS the Beast and all his Armies. Amen.

(Thus Babylon is this WHOLE EVIL WORLD under Satan's Domain, the word Babel means Confusion, what better description of that doe we have than te Whole World fighting their own Loving Creator? Jesus defeats the Confusor in Cheif, Satan. Thus Babylon (Satan's Dark Rule over mankind) is Destroyed.

So, this last Earthquake is caused by Jesus landing on the Holy Mount of God.

We should be familiar with “wormwood” with the abundance of blindness and false doctrine in the church today.

Wormwood poisons the fresh drinking waters after the Asteroid Strike, thus it's the Nuclear Fallout of the Asteroid Impact. You are overthinking it and trying to tie it unto false teaching, the Church is long gone because the Rapture is Pre Trib.

If a literal star hit the planet, the planet would be vaporized and so would the entire solar system. So, this is not a star like we think of but is an angel as the bible uses the metaphor of a star to speak of an angel.


Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

I believe Christ was speaking of the 3rd trump when he spoke of satan falling like "lightning". He is a fallen star/angel that will cause the deaths of many.

Wormwood is very BITTER….it is God’s judgment on people that worship false gods, false doctrines after they have had grace to repent.

The 7 Letters is Christ calling for His Bride to come to Him and be set apart and ready at His coming. She will suffer as He suffered for the lost yet, she will be taken and NOT endure God’s Wrath as Christ did for ALL….for His Bride and His Kingdom.

The 4 Living Creatures is a display of the Father’s Will and the Works of Christ.

The first 4 Seals Christ opens are 4 Horses and Riders which are the consequences released for not obeying the Fathers Will displayed by the 4 Living Creatures and the Works of Christ.

The 7 Trumpets are the Judgments of God WITH His Mercy…because God only destroys a 1/3 and gives people a chance to repent.

The 7 bowls/vials are God’s Wrath which is His Judgment WITHOUT His Mercy…total annihilation.

God knows. There are countless asteroids that could end up hitting the earth. They burn as they hit the atmosphere. Some are big enough to survive and hit the earth's surface. Since much of that is ocean, it would not be surprising if it was the sea that was affected.

I gave up trying to put it all together decades ago. Every generation of Christians thinks it is the last. You can imagine the speculation when nuclear weapons were tested in the ocean. Obviously they were not Wormwood, even though radioactivity poisoned the water in the test area. So, guess again!

yeah , biblically though wormwood is what God fed the Old Testament false prophets and caused much of Israel to die because of their constant transgression and false prophecies

“Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.”

Revelation has nothing to do with meteors and physical elements it’s a heavenly book showing apocalypse of the Old Testament prophets

In the ot prophets you might read of a vision like this

“And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

and Johns vision then might refer to that vision like this while explaining his vision about 7-800 years later

“These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”

John never sees two olive trees he only refers to the two witnesses as being the two olive trees and candlesticks from zechariahs vision he’s revealing things from other prophecy . revelation depends upon the ot prophets visions because it’s giving “apocalypse” of those things.

I would say that almost every chapter of revelation correlates with an ot prophecy or more than one ot prophecy in this way John was seeing revelation of Gods overall prophetic message bekng revealed in Christ

It could be, but it's not ewq1938, IMHO, because of the overall context. We know Fire comes in ahead of an asteroid, we know the impact of an asteroid is violent, we also know that metals in any asteroid when it blows up will create a type of Nuclear Fallout from the blast. Isn't a huge Nuclear Fallout going to poison everything around it as it falls to earth? They say an asteroid like this hitting the earth would be like all of our Nuclear Weapons, on all the earth, all going off at one time.

So, why is a Mountain used in one place and Star in the other for the same Asteroid? Because John is being shown everything in VISIONS by the Angels. John is shown that it's a LARGE ROCK (Mountain) being cast into the Ocean, thus he understands the impact that causes the devastation in the sea. Then he's shown the same "Rock" in another Vision coming in as it will arrive on earth as all space rocks do, COMING IN HOT, which will cause a posionsous fallout via a Nuclear Like explosion.

So, while ot could be an Angel, in this case, it's not, the Star is shown coming in hot, because that is what Asteroid do. John is shown it in this fashion to emphasize the Nuclear Fallout (Wormwood).

If we stopped using human reasoning and just simply asked the Holy Spirit for understanding of the scriptures….

perhaps our spiritual ears would open and we could hear what the Spirit is saying concerning wormwood…:unsure::love:(y)

There is no nuclear fall out from any asteroid. Most that land are small and do little to no damage. Also, the text says it's a star not an asteroid. That's how we know it's a symbolic star not a literal star.

Because of Revelation 16,,,,then the kings(corona) cannot yet have come from the east(China),,,,,unless the mark of the beast has already come and been taken and none have understood it yet...wormwood?
