Still fall but starting to feel like winter.
Being with friends like you and Jerry makes it so much better, though. I just now found out about WillieT. Jerry mentioned him on another thread. We used to get into little spats, but we still loved each other. Can't wait to finally meet him, someday soon. :)

Willie's wife Sue gave us a call and told us Willie had passed. It was sad because we had gone to several meals together over the last few years and had nice discussions. I really miss them both now that we have moved to TN won't be able to meet with Sue either. Look forward to seeing Willie again after Jesus comes.

I love you so much. :giggle:

Where have you been?
Thank you. I haven't been on CC as much because 2020 we sold our condo in Florida and moved to TN with no home living out of hotels while we were waiting to close on our new home in Tennessee. So I was packing and looking for a new home online in Tennessee and selling the old place and buying the new one. I even had to take a class for the mortgage company to qualify for a certain type of loan. Took me most of a day to complete the online course they wanted me to do.

It was a stressful year last year and I landed in the hospital for three days last November 2020. Then we were homeless for about 6-7 weeks driving up to Tennessee in two cars because our daughter, Melisa also moved with us. We had three cats and the cars were loaded with stuff hard to see out the windows to drive. Pretty stressful, we lived in hotels through all of the holidays making it not feel very festive.

God kept us safe though and I praise Him that we didn't get sick from Covid even though we were in many different hotels and eating in public places and I am very grateful for that.

We arrived in Tennessee November 28th and closed on our home December 22 then moved into the house when the furniture arrived on December 28th from the storage unit we had in Chattanooga TN. Then the unpacking and setting up the house. Summer arrived and we had a garden and busy with planting and Jerry did a lot of work building me boxes to have raised beds so I didn't have to go to ground level. He also did the watering and weeding and most of the harvesting. We had great tomatoes, lots of green beans, radishes, carrots, fresh basil, a little bite of beets, lots of okra... green peppers. Over all the first garden was a sucess.

So that's what I have been doing for the last year and most of the reason not on CC as much. I missed a lot of my CC friends which you are one of them for sure.

We are so blessed to have eternal life through Jesus... and that is such an understatement. There are no words to express the joyful wonder of it.

I hope that when we get to Heaven, we can build nice boxes and raise a big garden together. :D

I am so sorry that you had to live like refugees for a time, but we are not to think it a strange thing...

Hebrews
11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.
11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that [country] from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
11:16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

I felt that God wanted me to move for 2-3 years so I did pray a lot about it and asked Him to help us find a house in Tennessee and Jamestown is where we ended up. The home is less than half of what we paid a month in Florida and it is about 300 square feet smaller than what we had in Florida. We left an area that had about 3 and a half million people to a town with less than 2000 people. A simpler life with cooler weather and the joy of season changes. I love it here and God did protect us through it all.

What would your cheese be Oyster67?
I'm afraid that the little thingy between my ears is getting more swiss-like with every passing day. I do hope that this condition makes more 'holy', as @riverhooks pointed out. I like the flavor of the blue fungus in blue cheese. :giggle::coffee: Provolone is good on sandwiches. I have never tried your smoked gouda, but it soundsa gooda! :geek:

Death is under-rated.

Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.
