Politics has increasingly invaded every aspect of our lives in the US, and religion is no exception. You hear both sides saying the other side are evil, false Christians. But my contention is both sides are evil and false.

The right pays home to the god of country and patriotism, among other false gods; and the left worships themselves and pleasure.

"Come out of her, my people, lest you participate in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues."—Revelation 8:4

"Therefore 'Come out from the midst of them and be separated,' says the Lord. 'Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.' "—2 Corinthians 6:17; Isaiah 52:11

What is God of country and God of patriotism?

Of course, on the political scale

FnpFD8SkTos_Es-nJra3jJS1XPt7GljqmknXxD67xmw.jpg

Not everyone fits the word Democrat or Republican or the party platform. Which by platform the Democrats have major evil agendas that want to push the country further to the left into socialism/communism.

But we are called as believers to have discernment so there are policies that are evil and their are wicked or pagan people who do not know God.

This scale doesn't have what I define my beliefs but I would be in the middle of republican and libertarian. I'd say I am conservative republican.

I have no faith in government, whatever they decide to give you they can decide to take back from you!

My faith is in a more sure future, the government of Christ!

A Christian should vote for what they see as Christian principles, but can a Christian find those principles on either side?

It would be voting for the lesser of two evils if you ask me! I guess when I vote I see it more as voting against the greatest evil.

I'm not talking about the government or voting. I'm talking about Christianity which has given itself over to false gods.

Oh, the apostate church?
Not just the apostate church, but the part of the church that has replaced God the Father of our Lord with their own political gods. They look to these gods for salvation instead of the true Savior.

“given itself over to false gods.”

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s amazing how many different ways and truths we invent and promise salvstion to people , but we know why and how it happens within the church

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I realize it’s about politics but I think when political correctness invades doctrine from either side that’s one of the reasons people feel they need to change the truth into something else

for the sake of “ inclusion “ we forget Gods moral definitions of right and wrong in Christ and want to make Christianity something watered down that we feel ten truth will offend someone so we omit and change and redefine

politics affects deeply peoples minds and hearts and almost for many becomes thier religion even if they are claiming to be Christian they aren’t following Christ but the world . It creates a doctrine within them that becomes what they believe

The doctrine we accept is what’s going to bring us close to God or seperate us from him

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:”
‭‭2 John‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it shows us the immense importance of what doctrine we accept and share wrong doctrines create wrong faith and the truth of Christ creates true doctrine in our faith that we believe that will Never faulter

ResidentAlien is correct. However, there is currently only one side that panders to believers: conservatives. This makes their political maneuverings more egregious, imo.

Or it could be we find conservatism best fitting for our religious beliefs. They didn't have to pander to me at all. Because of our efforts we may actually see Roe v Wade over turned while much of the pro life efforts have saved millions of unborn children.

America is known also as the united states. Sadly the states are not united.
Our allegiance says one nation under God. Truth is all nations are under God.
We were founded on christian truths our constitution and declaration are full of these principles.
We are a young nation ( some tend to forget that) and have risen to world power by the grace of God.
In our many struggles and triumphs we have forgotten our first love. Which is our very foundation for our existence.
This nation has had many blessings from the Lord ...but to much is given much is required.
Republicans, Democrat, conservative, liberal, are all titles of perspective but God sees it as a issue of the heart.
That heart belonging to his people, his children.
We have pursued happiness and not Holiness. We have compromised truth with lies. Our praises have become lip service.
Our places of assembly have become entertainment centers.
Alot of people look at the lawlessness in the world today and say it is hopeless, so out of control that nothing can stop it.
I've never known God to be out numbered. I do know he can bring beauty from ashes. Order from chaos, hope to the hopeless.
I also know that is our mission. Do you realize we are what stand in the way of anti christ at least that is what our duty is.

Legislating religious beliefs is a practice learned from the Roman church. It led to the current state religion that systematically abuses children and women. Nevertheless, religion so leveraged against the people does not further the kingdom. Of course people should not kill the unborn but what are we to expect from men who are evil? Also, to what end? To “save the country”? The fate of the nation is sealed, it will go the way of the Beast, as will all nations.

What portion of judgement do the people deserve who supported, for the highest office in the country, a philanderer or a Mormon cult member? In the Kingdom, the lesser of two evils is still evil.

We are ambassadors of The Kingdom that is eternal. If you want to be a part of what God is doing ask Him to show you His work in your sphere of influence: your family, your job, your community, etc.

”My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

My personal view on voting is simple. If I must choose the lesser of two evils, it is still evil. So I just do not vote, waiting for our King as you do.

Thinking of this world as Humpty Dumpty...

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses (Conservatives) and all the king’s men (Liberals)
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

...It will take the King of Kings...

Systematically? What you mean?

My apologies but this is quite ignorant of a question. To what end? Really? How about saving lives. To be the salt and light is to preserve and provide hope. We are only to help slow the decay so more people can have life and more people can hear the gospel.

What portjudgmentdgement do the people deserve who supported, for the highest office in the country, a philanderer or a Mormon cult member? In the Kingdom, the lesser of two evils is still evil.
Not sure what you mean. Lesser of two evils? I'm sorry but I do not see the majority of the conservative movement to be evil. If good men do nothing then they should be judged for the evil they allow.

The Kingdom may not be of this world be we are still living in this world. Your sphere of influence is also by voting.

AMEN. The left deceives the world, the right deceives believers.

I apologize if I came across as impolite.

In the process of voting in moral people here is one example of why we try.

The Texas Heartbeat Act, which is estimated to save the lives of 150 babies every day, protects an unborn child in the womb after that child’s heart begins to beat.
