God will certainly require your gold if it is the thing which might sink your ship in the next storm.

Luke
18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

God may not give you everything you want, but He will provide you with everything you need. He knows what is best for you. Just trust Him.

Excellent word of wisdom! Great encouragement for us to trust in Jesus Christ, NOT our money. Money is a “tool” to me that is given to meet needs.

Gold is just “pavement” in Heaven…. streets of gold.

How silly we look holding on to our pieces of pavement while our ship is sinking…lol!

I think treasures in Heaven will be elements of various LIGHT…gemstones reflect Light according to their color…diamonds/crystals reflect all the colors..

LIGHT is the riches of Heaven because LOVE will be displayed and radiate by Light…

Anyways…just my thoughts…

Oyster, you are loved, God sees you because He can see your Light in a dark world. Keep loving! Keep shining! :love:(y)

No worries…with Jesus, we can walk on water…even in the midst of a storm! Just keep your eyes on JESUS, not the storm. :love:(y)

Wow! That means God said it “twice” to you…. When God says something twice, it is established…it cannot change…God will not relent.

If a storm arises, keep all your faith and trust and focus on Jesus Christ because He wants you walking on the water with Him and He does NOT fear the storm. He allows it to test our faith.

Stand FIRM in your faith in Jesus Christ and walk on that water!

No worries - refuse fear. IN CHRIST, ALL IS WELL, Amen. :love:(y)

Jesus Christ is FAITH personified…there is NO DOUBT in Him.

I recall reading a book about shipwrecks. One guy called Kelly Tarlton spent a lifetime diving and exploring them and he got salvaging rights from the insurance companies that owned the ships.

Quite a few of them had gold in them and it was still there sunken with the ships.

With some of them he would bring up relics to be displayed in museums.

The people that drowned in the sea with the ship though, aint coming back.

How do you suppose Jesus Christ walked on the water….:unsure:

Spiritual Laws have to agree with Physical Laws…to operate in the Spiritual Realm and the Physical Realm.

There must be laws of physics that apply…look at nature…to understand the spiritual…to understand how both laws are operating together.

There are water bugs that walk (stride) on water…they do it by “air” captured in fine hair surrounding their feet…it’s AIR that is the barrier between them and the surface of the water…in the Physical Realm.

What’s upholding the water bug in the Spiritual Realm…..The Word of God….

Didn’t Jesus Christ as The Word of God tell Peter to, “Come!”

I bet there was a barrier of AIR under Peter’s feet that would not let him sink but, when Peter disconnected to the Word of God…the Spiritual Law and Physical Law no longer agreed and Peter sank.

The only words Jesus said to Peter was, “Why did you doubt?”

It’s “doubt” that breaks the “agreement/connection” between the Spiritual Law and Physical Law - the two MUST AGREE.
