John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God's Son is Jesus. He shed His blood as full payment for our sinfulness. There is no other way to Salvation but by His Blood. He loves you. Ask Him to be your Lord and Savior today. He is waiting for your response.
Unfortunately you are not trusting the gospel given to Paul by Christ.

@Hann57

It’s not good to quote scripture without God’s Love….

Imagine you are God..creator of EVERYTHING yet what you desire and want the MOST…..CANNOT be created…GOD IS LOVE…the greatest desire of LOVE is…. to love and to be loved.

This is God’s great dilemma… He can create beings and even worlds that will love Him BUT, if God does not give them freedom to choose to love Him then, they are robots and God is NOT TRULY LOVED.

The ONLY reason any of us get to have free will and make a choice and make a decision is because God wants our love and wants us to receive His Love for us and forever be in a loving family relationship with our Creator.

Isn’t God wonderful and amazing?! I give Him ALL my love, I choose to love Him completely and for all eternity…I hope you will do the same.(y)
I am not here to listen to opinions. I tell people the gospel. That Christ died for their sins... If I did not love people I would NOT tell them. I want you to be saved too.

Without Jesus Christ, ALL PERISH, including you Hann…..

HOWEVER, ALL that are IN CHRIST shall LIVE FOREVER ETERNALLY, including you Hann!

God said it, not me or you. God does NOT lie. We can trust Him….He is faithful, amen.

Hann - you are loved! You need to decide….(y)
Thanks you your concern. I know I am saved. I have trusted in Christ by believing He died for our sins when I heard the gospel in 1988.

Where in the Bible ( Pauls letters) does he say to become a Christian. Christ gave Paul the gospel to give to us. It don't say to become a Christian to be saved. It says Christ died for our sins.. 1 Corinthians 15: 3,4.

Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Not even Paul was certain of his own salvation:

Paul - if anyone ever took Christ as his Savior it was Paul - wrote in 1 Cor 9:27: "I chastise my body and lead it into subjection, so that after preaching to others, I may not be rejected at the scrutiny." Even after his heroic work for Christ, Paul knew His body might lead him into sin, and so he could lose salvation.

Paul also warned that we must persevere in living our faith in Christ, until the very end of our lives.

King James Version

25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Acts 26:27-29

King James Version

27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

No, Paul knew he could NOT lose his salvation. His sin greatly grieved him like any believer that falls into sin but, never did he believe he could lose his salvation.

Christ and Christ ALONE gets ALL the glory, praise and honor for each Believer's salvation, amen.

How can we ever know or comprehend God unless He reveals Himself to us?!

Jesus say a lot, not small amount people think go to heaven and not

Matt 7
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Jesus say a lot of people think they go to heaven, by faith not by work, but we learn from these verses below real faith produce good work, or Jesus say depart from Me

Salvation is by faith not by work, but don't forget on the last judgement Jesus exament if your faith genuine by your work
The root cause of salvation is faith, not work, but according to Jesus real faith cause you to love, help the poor.
In my country people love the rich and don't like to be the poor's friend, even in the church.
But Jesus say if you hate the poor you not go to heaven. So by faith or by love the poor?
By faith and real faith will produce love the poor, if you say you have faith but hate the poor, you are lie, your faith is not real

Matt 25
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

It is the hope of every believer of having made peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ in what He has done for us on the cross.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself.

2Co_5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Many people are under a teaching that tells them when they die they will go to heaven. When I read the scriptures I don't see that anywhere.

First of all you need to be aware of men who might not be teaching exactly what the scriptures say. I know this from experience as I was tossed to and fro for years, listening to men interpret the scriptures.
I was deceived because I never checked what they were saying for myself.

Here is my destination as a believer in the gospel given to Paul by Christ Jesus

2Co_5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

The word heavens is plural, not singular; heaven.

Anyone who has trusted in Christ alone for their salvation, that He died for our sins, was buried and rose again according to the scriptures. Our destination is in the heavens.
You raise an interesting point, however, with a great deal of confusion.

Are the heavens plural? Yes.

There is the heaven above us - the atmosphere. There is the heaven above that - space, stars and planets. There is a third heaven - 2Co_12:2 I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I know not; or whether out of the body, I know not; God knows), such a one caught up even to the third heaven.

Christ, when He Prayed, looked up to heaven - but since the earth rotates on it's axis and Christ prayed at different times, where exactly was He looking?

In 2 Cor. 5:1, You noted, our future was in the shedding of this body and the putting on of the body made by God. This is true, we will all inherit a body made for eternity. However, ones hope, upon death, is expressed in the following:

1Jn 3:2,3 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

AND:

Php 1:21-24 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if to live in the flesh,--if this shall bring fruit from my work, then what I shall choose I know not. But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better: yet to abide in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

Every believer's hope is to be with the Lord. But where is the Lord - right now? He is at the righthand of His Father. The righthand of the Throne.

Isa 6:1-3 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Where is the throne of God?

Rev_11:19 And there was opened the temple of God that is in heaven; and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant; and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Where the Lord was and is, is called heaven. However, heaven is not a place, clearly understood by us, in the present age.

How is asking Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour going to save you. You need to obey the gospel to be saved according to the scriptures.

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
I just worked you out, I think we would all agree you are saved, but there is something skew whiff with you. You seem to doubt others are saved. This is what has caused a little wrinkle in my brow.

But I've got it.

You are trusting doctrines to be saved, correctitude of doctrine is what decides someone's salvation in your mind.

That is wrong

Jesus saves, all who call upon Him to be saved and believe on Him to be saved will be saved. Personally He comes and saves us, He lifts us up and fixes us up.

You can learn the doctrines later. ... some folks never do learn them aright.

In this, the end times era, there will be great deceptions. We see them in many ways,
Only with an eye on scriptures constantly, can we avoid the trap they represent.
