Be equally yoked as an Ox connected to another we are to be of one mind and one Spirit. Date and marry with this in mind because the danger of a divided kingdom will always be on the verge of collapse.

Amos 3:3
New King James Version
3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

“How beautiful, then, the marriage of two Christians, two who are one in home, one in desire, one in the way of life they follow, one in the religion they practice . . . Nothing divides them either in flesh or in spirit . . . They pray together, they worship together, they fast together; instructing one another, encouraging one another, strengthening one another. Side by side they visit God's church and partake God's banquet, side by side they face difficulties and persecution, share their consolations. They have no secrets from one another; they never shun each other's company; they never bring sorrow to each other's hearts . . . Seeing this Christ rejoices. To such as these He gives His peace. Where there are two together, there also He is present.”

Very true, although I do know some people who are Christians who dated non- believers who then turned Christian and who are now happily married with children serving the Lord.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

It is possible but only if Spirit led as many do not work out.

Jesus yoke is this...he carries you piggyback style. He doesnt even have a yoke!

All the work you need to do with Jesus is to sit and learn at his feet.

If you have babies he'll babysit them ...if theres dishes to be done, they can wait. Any boxes, they dont need to be carried. Put them down.

In fact He may even tell you why not have a nap? The He'll tell a story. He'll reveal this to babes...but adults dont really seem to get this. They think being yoked has something to do with being married...or being burdened with a mortgage or raising children....or doing dishes and mowing the lawn.....

He does have a yoke. It easy to bear if we take upon us. We essentially are to be attached just like the Ox to Jesus. A marriage is no different as the marriage is designed like the image of Jesus and the bride.

Jesus said that his yoke is easy and his burden light. Of course, what's light for Jesus might be a lot of work for us. A successful marriage does entail a lot of work. I guess if marriage were easy everybody would do it.

When Jesus tells me to take a nap I happily comply, not so much though in doing the dishes, carrying boxes, and mowing the lawn.

Well I notice Jesus didnt marry

The marriage/wedding he was talking about in revelation was the marriage of Israel to the land when the new Jerusalem comes...there is no curse, everything is perfect

earthly marriages are not like that at all. The brides dont come out of heaven! lol

bride...groomsmen...notice the horse imagery in marriage.
Have you ever read Black Beauty. In the days before cars, people had horses. Many horses were ridden hard and treated cruelly by their masters.

Just imagine. If you were a horse, you had to be broken in but to be ridden in the streets etc you were bridled. You were not free. Sometimes you had blinders put on you so you could only see what was right in front of you where your master (the groomsman) wants you to go. You bore everyone in a carriage or on your back. That burden probably wasnt easy for a horse.

They look strong to us but their lives were short.
They lived in stables if they were in thr city. They were not free to run around and do what they liked.

Jesus did not marry but yet he enforced marriage.

Matthew 19

4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Marriage is indeed lots of work. Learning as a man that grew up with only a brother to understand the mindset and emotional needs of a women has been an up and down journey lol.

today, people use tractors, but intensive ploughing is actually really bad for the soil. It contributed to the dustbowls of america.

No dig gardening is a lot better. Dont need yokes or tractors for that.

If you are already married, stick with it cos you made a vow. But, hello, this is the SINGLES forum!

Dont people quite understand that unmarried singles are free and maybe dont even want to be married?

Jesus was talking about people that were ALREADY married.
