Hello CC members, I can see threads of rapture is the hot topic in discussion now a days, but before getting your hands on for a research or meditation in this very vaguely mentioned and confusing topic of rapture which has lot of hidden prophetic explanations in scripture, you must have a open mind. As usual people who have met me before this is gonna be a long one and I'm sorry for that (not really lol).

So rapture is among those topics which has a lot of controversial arguments like drinking, modest dress and few more. Some people say drinking itself is sinfull and someother say drunkeness and addiction is only sinful. Same with modesty some people draw lines for Christian dress code and some other says it's upto the culture like a bikini is normal in western world while it's not the same in some other places. We cannot come to a conclusion in these topics biblically, we may have our own understanding and rules but that's not gonna work because we all know who is the final Judge.

Now sorry for taking you guys on a little detour, but you have to understand that rapture is like this and don't fight over your own view. And please please do not use scriptures as your weapons. You know the whole of scripture is the word of one person GOD. Don't use your personal interpretation of verses against each other. Being God's children and doing this, it just doesn't feel right.

Do you have an understanding of rapture good for you praise the lord. Is that different from other's view great it's time to ask God and check what you have understood. I had a lot of doubts in rapture I tried to do a meditation on that topic and so far my understanding is, its pre-trib and I'm still not sure whether it will be totally secret. That is no one other than church of christ will notice it. You don't agree with my point that's totally fine because great men of Christ had different perspective in rapure let me end this thread by saying those.

Rapture will come before the tribulation because there's no record of church on earth after revelation 3 till revelation 19, which is also in heaven

-John MacArthur

Rapture will come after tribulation and the meeting of christ in mid air is like a ceremony in that we meet Christ after trib in the air and come with him to earth as a victorious army

-R.C. Sproul

The bible says people will hear trump of the arch angel in the day of Jesus's return lot of people says the coming will be secret but I see no secret in this.

-Billy Graham

When people ask me what do you believe in pre post or mid (rapture) i simply say I don't know. If God wants to keep something secret it's waste of time trying to find it out.

-Derek Prince

So, that's it guys to be honest, are these questions necessary? are they gonna change anything? no matter when he comes and how he comes the real question should be Are we ready ? So try finding answer for that within you

Happy new year to you all. If this thread helps you, all praise be to God. Be of good cheer untill we meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the end is near.

It's not only the rapture. There are about 20 topics that are constantly argued over just as much. The BDF is known as a place to argue. Getting along her is merely a dream new users have. Seasoned chatter know nothing will change it.

Varying Biblical interpretations are often based on different schools of thought and hermeneutics. People interpret the Bible differently and naturally congregate with those who agree with them. Occasionally they chance upon an open forum like this one and encounter people who believe different things.

Imagine growing up in a church denomination, being taught to read the Bible a certain way, seeing that everyone in your church agrees with you, and believing that you must have the truth. Now take a bunch of these people who have been indoctrinated into different belief systems and put them all in the same room; there’s going to be disagreements and things might get heated.

This forum is essentially a microcosm of what it’s like when cultures clash. I’m not saying that’s bad, just my personal observation.

My advice is know that we can’t change anyone; when or if people are ready they’ll change. We also need to understand that people may never change, how each person deals with that reality is up to them.

Love it when folks do not want you to use Scripture to explain something about Scripture.

What was it that Scripture said? Something about not leaning on your own understanding? And that the wisdom of man is foolishness to God?

Yeah, don't use Scripture, that way they arguments will make less sense, and no common ground will be reached........ :)

Sadly the constant arguing due to different interpretations and views will remain a constant the constant attack and mockery is an unfortunate constant as well, the way I see it there will always be those who see differently and believe so firmly that you cannot change their minds and not everyone is even mature enough to debate a heavy topic such as this either they are normally the ones who allow their emotions to take over mock ridicule and use scripture as a weapon it is best to keep away from such people and not entertain them with any response

All we can do is understand the thorn in our side and do our best to be mature and show the fruits of the spirit when we do go into such debates if we see our emotions rising and are tempted to speak against others in an unchrist like way we should remove ourselves from the debate until we can come back with clarity and patience

Iron sharpens iron. I like to think that when people argue in BDF they are doing it in good faith, and that's really what is important. People occasionally get frustrated and sling insults, but it's more than forgivable.

It would be scary if everyone always agreed with each other without anyone ever taking a stand on scripture somewhere... being a Christian is more than us having warm and fuzzy feelings for each other.

Kindly check my previous threads I always ask people to refer verses above all. What I mentioned here is don't counter one verse with another that will make contradictions within bible.

Your OP is the very reason why discussion on the rapture is so important.

You made some assertions that do not come from Scripture and then you basically say "it's ok to believe whatever you want."

The Word of God declares that pre-trib rapture is a lie, irregardless of who claims it to be true.

The LORD tells us that we are to believe every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Popularity of doctrine does not determine it's authenticity.

Here is something that every christian must believe in order to please God = Deuteronomy 4:1-2 , Proverbs 30:5-6 , Revelation 22:18-19

and let's return to the place that God says is the beginning of wisdom = the fear of God.

I don't see how a huge amount of Christian rising into the clouds could not be noticed, or not notice at least that they are just plain gone.

Here's an issue with pre-trib. The bible speaks of false Christs and even Antichrist's plus a singular mention of Antichrist is used by John. That's the one we think of ruling during the Great Tribulation. As a false Christ it is commonly believed he will imitate Christ and the things Christ will do. Revelation 13 mentions miracles being used to deceive people. Paul also said the man of sin would do the same (lying wonders). These miracles to deceive as not described so we have to guess. Well, it isn't much of a stretch to think a false Christ might produce a false rapture and even a false resurrection. The bible says our gathering to Christ will not happen until two things happen: the Apostasy and the revealing of the man of sin (the Antichrist). That means no rapture before the Great Tribulation starts. It endangers believers in the pre-trib doctrine because they could be deceived by the false Christ and any possible false rapture.

If you were the devil/ac etc and you wanted to deceive Christians, wouldn't you fake a second coming, resurrection and rapture and give them a "heavenly" experience of those things? It would be very hard to reject it all if you are pre-trib. Post-tribbers are expecting these deceiving miracles and that false Christ. Pre-tribbers aren't.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Parlor tricks wouldn't be impressive enough to deceive people so these deceiving miracles will be huge things. I think making people feel immortal and making them feel like they had been raptured to heaven is not an outrageous idea. It's therefore extremely dangerous to believe that Jesus will just come down at any moment and rapture people. It goes against scripture and places them directly in the path of Apostasy. The most ironic and sad part of that is that most pre-tribbers believe the Apostasy (Apostasia in Greek) is the rapture rather than what it actually is, a fall away or defection from the truth, from Christ and Christianity.

When I post against pre-trib, I am hoping to save people from the possible mistake of a lifetime. It's wiser to believe a post-trib rapture. It's scary but Christians have been in danger and murdered throughout Christian history. No one can "miss" the rapture. God knows who is meant to be raptured. Your belief in when it happens matters not to God.

It is my belief that everything in the Word is worth repeating for the sake of seekers and new people in the forums.

Doing my best, I do ignore the posts on the rapture for no one can change my sstance thereon, however it is not so important to me as to keep on the subject. You are right to try to get away from it, but blieve it or not, there are some who are new to the subject.

Our main concern is the Good News from Jesus Yeshua, and yess the taking up of the saints is part of it.

Thank you, that was my point, everyone misunderstood me like I support one view of rapture and I'm trying to take people off scripture. The scripture always asks us to avoid arguments we can see that in some of Paul's letters. A friendly debate over a topic that's something different, here people are using verses with their own understanding and claim totally different interpretation for the same verse.

Every time I come into the forums I find such activity, but I try to pas it by. Sometimes we must stand for what we have been given to believe even if we have already stood there many times before.
