There is no "gotcha" for anti-FE. It's proven empirically and by observation that the earth is a sphere. I found out that the moon appears upside down yesterday. I've never doubted that the earth is a sphere.

We do not see the stars. We see the light transmitted by the stars. Some may not exist as the light has had to travel so far that the star could have been destroyed by the time the light gets to us. The problem with examining the sun is not its brightness. Filters can take care of that. The sun is constantly changing on the surface. The moon is constant.

People can see the moon without positional distortion. It's not at all distorted close to the moon because there is no atmosphere. The people who have walked on it can tell you that.
Lying Freemasons claimed to have walked on the Moon. I happen to own a Scottish Rite Freemasonic medallion commemorating the event: "Our Flags On the Moon." People don't realize that the Apollo 11 astronauts and many of the administrators were Freemasons. Supposedly they had a Freemasonic apron with them when they "walked on the Moon." No one gives credit to the camera guy who somehow made it down to the surface first in order to film the historic "first steps." Ha.

After NASA cranked out all their "Moon landings" MTV took over the propaganda campaign. MTV has always pushed the Moon landing theme, and interestingly MTV is run out of a Masonic Temple.

Go look up something called the "Axis of Evil" as related to astrophysics. I'll summarize. According to Big Bang cosmology, there should be a bunch of background radiation to the universe left behind by the Big Bang, and it should be homogeneous. Like lime jello. A probe was sent up to measure that background radiation. Lo and behold... there was a pattern of hot and cold spots in the background radiation of the universe. Hot and cold spots that formed two axes, like two swords stuck in a block of lime jello. Those swords intersected at a certain point. Yes, you can see where this is going. Those hot and cold spots intersected at the Earth, meaning either the Earth is the center of the created order and does not move, or as the "planet" hurtles through space it somehow drags the background radiation of the universe along with it. Impossible by every explanation. The probe's results were unthinkable, so two more rounds of probes were sent up to measure the background radiation... with the same results. Because the results challenge everything we "know " about the universe, the phenomenon was dubbed "The Axis of Evil" and buried. You won't hear modern scientism talking about it, though it's a matter of public record for anyone who cares to look.

THE EARTH IS FIXED AND DOES NOT MOVE, JUST AS THE SCRIPTURES SAY.

There was ONE astronaut who became a born again Christian and who was going to go public with what he knew with the encouragement of a Christian friend when he was murdered.

But no man can serve two masters. You do know what Freemasonry IS, right? It's a container for allowing a certain religion to survive within Christianized societies. It's a smokescreen for the secret one-eyed religion: Satanism. I know there are plenty of people claiming to be both Christians and Freemasons. They are either ignorant of Christianity, ignorant of Freemasonry, or both.

I think I already posted a link to a detailed expose of Freemasonry here on CC. If you want the link again, let me know. By the way, the video is by a former Freemason and he uses the teachings and writings of Freemasonry themselves to show them for what they are.

You're kidding, right? I have never seen more of christians slandering christians than at christian forums. One of the very last things that takes place, here, is the building up of others.

Matthew 5:44 NKJV - "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you . . ."

Or, do you think that we as a group reflect matt 5:44 above?

These people who claim to have walked on the moon, when critically questioned, because extremely angry. One of them even violently punched another in the face. That's quite a reaction, or do you consider this to be "normative" behavior for "born-again" christians?

Actually you can see "sunset" footage online of the sun simply fading out into the distance sometimes, instead of dropping "down" over horizon in what we think of as a usual sunset. In such a situation, the Sun is still within direct line of sight... but the visibility conditions simply don't allow the observer to see it.
I have seen for myself the sun rising and setting, not merely fading/ emerging. No amount of argument can unconvince me that the earth is (roughly) spherical.

I basically agree with you. However, I'd be utterly convinced if someone, and there must be dozens upon dozens, from the ISS could show me their tons and tons of uploaded photos to an online photo album of shots of the earth [[[[with the moon in the background]]]], which would prove to me that they're not using fisheye lenses. Why no one from the ISS has these photos is utterly absurd.

Flat Earth? Round Earth? I really don't care, but what bothers me is that this could be so simply proven . . . yet "everyone" is compelled to use fisheye lenses whenever "space" is involved. Even video from the alleged ISS shows the earth transitioning from being wildly round to actually being inverted (because of the obvious fisheye lens they use). Yes, I've seen the space-x video of the dumb car being drug behind in outer space . . . that looks absolutely stupid. But photos from the ISS would do it for me. Or, the 1969 "astronauts" could have just taken normal photos through the windows of their little spaceships instead of standing WAAAAY away from the window and placing a crescent in it to make the earth appear to have a shadow. Those are the silliest images of earth and cloud formations imaginable.

We earthlings play the silliest games with each other.

Sure, and I've seen the sun rise and set as well; I wasn't denying that this appears to happen. I was just pointing out that the fadeout happens as well which should make us think about things a bit.

The visible sunrise and sunset is an optical effect caused by different density layers in the atmosphere. The air is thicker at ground level and less dense higher up. Also, there is sometimes more moisture over the ocean right at sea level than higher up. This extra atmosphere, water vapor, or smoke fog dust in the air, create optical effects, namely in the case of sunrise and sunset that the sun fades from view because its light cannot push through the atmosphere to the eye before it ever falls below any physical horizon. In other words, there's a difference between the visible horizon and any physical one and that's a demonstrable fact for globers and for flat earthers alike.

Your statement that you WILL NOT be convinced no matter what is the real problem here. I'm assuming that like everyone else, including me, by the way, you were taught a globe Earth since you were about 3. Any refusal to examine any contrary evidence is simply mental laziness and indoctrination.

Which is a perfect explanation for why the sun sometimes appears to fade rather than set. Setting is not explained by atmospheric conditions.

Apologies. It wasn't meant to be an insult, more of an observation and perhaps a bit of a rebuke.

Was I correct with my assumption that you (like me) were taught the globe from about the same time you were learning to read and write? Have you ever considered an alternative?

I believed in the globe like anyone else who was taught it until I was almost 34. Never thought to question it.

In all fairness, there's a ton of misinformation and controlled opposition out there as related to the flat earth stuff. The Flat Earth Society puts out almost nothing but nonsense. I never had a chance to believe anything different until I encountered DITRH. Here's his site:

I did not say, and it is not the case, that all the people who walked on the moon were Christians. You have no satisfactory answer as to why they would lie, believer or not. Perhaps they object to going through possibly the most dangerous experience ever and being called liars.

I don't suppose you can explain why no one has been to the edge of the earth that must exist if it is flat. I don't imagine that you have an explanation for gravity. Your mathematical formula refers to a parabola, not the curve of a circle. (See, I check these things). That is why objects don't behave according to the formula. Of course, none of this will influence you. I'm hoping only that the undecided will realise that FE is a dud.

You're continual false judgments of my heart are not a reflection of me, but of yourself. What you don't understand is that I listen to all sides. I think that there are amazing arguments for each. I am neither a flat-earther or round-earther, but if I had to lean to one side, I would easily say round.

And no, I don't have arguments against gravity because quite frankly, I could care less. I am talking within this thread because I find it interesting, and certainly not to be judged false by likes of yourself. How boring to be judged.

(See, I check these things).
Good for you. What . . . do you want applause or something? Unbelievable.

Look, I think that the "astronauts" were freaked out for their first press conference discussion with the audience for a reason. I know that you agree that their excitement [before] their "flight" was absolutely non-existent when they "arrived" [back] to earth. So why? Why would they behave so oddly?

Apollo 11 Press Conference - YouTube

I would say because they were either threatened to not expose their sham of a "flight" or . . . they actually DID walk the moon and were shocked by the things they saw while there. So, Mr. Gid . . . what am I saying? I'm saying that they [could have] made the actual trip to the moon.

Are you satisfied? How many others are you harassing until they fold? Why does this do for you? And, why must you press and press with childish sarcasm so as to receive the result you seem to be so desperately looking for? Wouldn't maturity be an option?

Exhausting. Writing posts like the one above is such a waste of time . . . there are people that actually need help in this world, and you want to grill me over non-sense. Do you feel better, now?

You are in no position to be rebuking anyone on this site.

As for your link, I may check it out, if only to identify the laughable errors it promotes.

Serious flat earthers don't believe there is an edge. The depiction of a solar system with a flat cracker Earth put in place of a planet Earth is pure disinformation. No serious informed flat earther believes this.

The Earth plane is the "basement of the universe." The continents stand out of the great deep and Antarctica is a ring around the circular "pond" which are the Earth's oceans. Beyond Antarctica, regions of ice extend outwards in all directions for an unknown distance.

(Job 38:30) "The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen."

Not a video I 100% agree with, but pretty solid:

One day in Paradise, friend! :D
Man, this planet frustrates me. Ever since I had my Damascus-Road-like experience, and having felt the overwhelming Peace and Love of the Holy Spirit to the degree that it almost took my life . . . I am frustrated with the bitterness shared between "christians." I can't stand it and quite frankly, I can't wait to leave this place. In fact, when I found out that I had cancer, I was relieved! I'm dead serious.
