I relocated from Clearwater, Florida to NE Tennessee a year ago. I lost a family member also a couple years ago and know how hard that can be. Glad to have you join our family. Welcome to CC.

"Welcome.
There being of no need to feel sorry. Losing a loved one is always a tough one...believe it.
I hope and pray you find some comfort and encouragement within these pages, and to know

that sensitivity, love and understanding in social media environments are sometimes harsh.
We are strangers in a wireless communication arena, and there are hearts of stone, but they mean well.
The Holy Spirit has been my strength and seen me through tough emotional events in the
past several years. I can only thank God.
I hope you find peace and calm, and all will be well." :)

Well, I went from living in a metropolitan area with a population of 3,500,000 in Tampa / St. Petersburg / Clearwater in Florida to a small town of less than 2,000 in Tennessee so it is less hectic that's for sure. Not sure how nice it is though.

I'm sorry for your loss, Hannah. Grieving is a difficult process.

I think you may find it helpful to hear from others who are going through the grieving process and how they are dealing with it. Check out this video below.

Your reactions are natural. When Lord Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, you can draw comfort from Him. Grieving is normal, but to be honest, pointless. What benefit do you or anyone else get from it? I must have a very strong neck because people are inclined to try and bite my head off when I say these things.

About 10 years ago, I had a call from work. My friend's wife range me to say that he was sleeping and she could not wake him up. We both knew that he was not going to wake up. When I got to her place, the police and ambulance crews were there. She was fine. She offered coffee to the 4 strangers in her home as if they were invited guests.

How can this be? Well, they were both Christians so she had the assurance that he was in a vastly better place. The Bible tells us that God will comfort us in our troubles. For the living, life must go on. It's not heartless. We have to let go. I'd known my friend for about 30 years and we were very close. I'd learned a great deal from him - he was as much mentor as friend. What I'd learned would be useless if I lived in sorrow and grief. God will help you. All you have to do is ask.

Welcome Hannah, I'm glad the Lord led you here where you can reach out and have caring people respond. We all have lost loved ones and a grieving period is natural but then we are to get on with our responsibilities in life. Our dearly departed would not want us to live a life of sadness, Jesus is in Heaven and they are in good hands. God bless and keep you this new year!
