A frumpy dragon... I've never seen a dragon manage to look frumpy before.
I mean, I've seen video games where they used dragons as the big bad boss so much that it became boring. By the tenth dragon it's just ho-hum, fight another dragon. Fighting a dragon should NEVER be boring. If you fight so many that it becomes boring, you have made bad design choices in this game.
But I've never seen one that was downright frumpy.
President Biden visits a remote Native American reservation. With news crews following him around as they tour the place, the President asks the chief if there is anything they need. -Well," says the chief, "We have three very important needs. First, we have a medical clinic, but no doctor to man it.”
Biden whips out his cellphone, dials a number, talks to somebody for two minutes, and then hangs up. "I've pulled some strings. Your doctor will arrive in a few days.” Now what was the second problem?”
We have no way to get clean water. The local mining operation has poisoned the water our people have been drinking for thousands of years. We've been flying bottled water in, and it's terribly expensive.”
-Once again, Biden dials a number, yells into the phone for a few minutes, and then hangs up. "The mine has been shut down, and the owner is being billed for setting up a purification plant for your people.”
Now what was that third problem?" The chief looks at him and says, "We have no cellphone reception up here!"
As a singer I sing at many funerals & I was recently asked by a funeral director to play & sing at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery out in the country. As I was not familiar with the area, I got lost. I finally arrived an hour late and saw that the funeral guy had evidently gone, and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play. The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I sang like I’ve never played before for this homeless man. As I sang & played “Amazing Grace”, the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I packed up my keyboard and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full. As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I’ve never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.” Apparently, I’m still lost…. Laughs interesting and cute.
