I mean I keep coming back to this topic in my mind. Is medicine, or certain medicines against God's will? I mean for example we may overpopulate the earth because of advanced medicine, instead of letting things balance out like it would naturally. We may endure the most dire consequences simply for valuing life to such a high degree. I mean it probably is our nature so you could make a case that we are meant to craft these tools.

 I would like to hear your opinion though.

I think medicine should be aligned with Godliness. I believe there is medicine which is an abomination, as it goes against principles in the bible (e.g. genetic manipulation such as creation of pig-man hybrids to use as heart donors, injecting aborted baby cells into our blood as vaccines). I also believe there is medicine consistent with principles taught in the bible - washing hands, separation/quarantine if in contact with a contagious disease, prevention of mold, circumcision, etc.

Even if we do morally-sound medicine well, I doubt it will have any significant effect on overpopulation.

Are cars worldly?

Is a hammer worldly?

Is a smartphone worldly?

One thing I know for certain is worldly, is sitting around trying to think of tricky questions to trip up Christians with.

I didn't at all mean you trip you up. I'm just extremely curious. I don't really think a lot about these questions at this stage, they just sort of come to me and I try to ask people and then I puzzle it out.

I want God to heal me supernaturally. Recently, I thought He told me that things would soon improve for me. A week later my doctor prescribed me a pill for nerve pain. It really helped. I was happy, but not too happy. To tell the truth, I was a little disappointed. Sigh.

Luke was physician and Jesus is the great physician so I would say that medicine is definitely God's will. Even in the book of Revelation it states that the leaves on the tree on the river of life are for the healing of the nations. Another interesting thing is that Jesus, when healing a certain blind man first applied mud to his eyes and told him to wash the mud off. After that, the guy could see. The thing regarding life and overpopulation, is that in general, in many nations, including the USA, life is not valued but rather expendable. Due to lack of nutrition and disease, there is no need to worry about overpopulation. Based on prophetic end-time events, the population of the earth is going to be greatly diminished.

Medicine is not against Scripture. God gives wisdom to many for many reasons, and the invention of medicines is surely one of those wisdoms.

That's like saying Doctors are against God. Pure silliness............plain and simple.....

First off, let's talk about the Malthusian Fallacy since you mentioned it in passing. Thomas Malthus put out the idea that humanity would overpopulate the Earth and outstrip the food supply. He postulated this very outdated concept long before the industrial revolution. GMO crops, fertilizer, mechanization have allowed 100x yields per acre of ground in the modern era as compared to Malthus' day. Also, every year enough grain alone is produced to feed the world TWICE over. That's not counting other food sources like fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, fungi, algae, dairy, etc. The problem is poor human management of resources, not scarcity of resources. God specifically told humanity to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the Earth. He did not limit or quantify that command in any way whatsoever. Wanting to limit the human population - and doing so with eugenics, wars, sterilizing vaccines, etc. - is an un-Biblical view and characteristic of the Luciferian elites who rule over us.

Now that that topic is out of the way, let's talk medicine. It's a good thing, generally speaking, but one of the limitations of science is that it tells us what CAN be done not whether it SHOULD be done. Science cannot answer moral questions. As others have mentioned, SHOULD we be tampering with the DNA of crops and animals by genetically modifying organisms? SHOULD we tamper with fertility or birth control? SHOULD we be putting chemicals with many side effects and dubious ingredients into our bodies?

Keep in mind that one Greek word translated as "sorceries" (used in a negative connotation) in the Bible is "pharmakeia" - which is the root word from which we get the modern "pharmaceuticals."

Basically, we need to apply Biblical principles to our use of medicine. I don't see anything in the Bible that prohibits organ donation/transplants, necessary surgery, etc. And a long life is a reward from God, a good thing, not something to be seen as a problem to be corrected.

Yes, they are worldly of course as they are made out of materials found in the world. You may use the things of this world without abusing them nor conforming to the world, for the day soon comes when the Lord will abolish the world. Yet is there also a more excellent way, which is the way the Lord.
